- At Eggleston Hall Gardens we are tackling a large overgrown conifer that has been a centre point on the lower lawn for decades. I has become too dominant and overpowering, so, not wanting to lose the maturity it brings to the gardens we are attempting to bring out its shape and turn an overgrown monster into a beautiful tree.
I am a great believer in exposing the trunk of trees...it is their heart, and like the lines a a persons face they reflect its maturity and character.
Dislikers need to chill, its all fun chit chat.....lololol. So funny

I found your channel due to a search did for limbing up conifers. I like your term of lifting the skirt. I'll have to borrow that phrase because that is exactly what I want to do with one I have but I've been worried I may damage the health of the tree. I am so glad to see your video was made 8 years ago and so I can ask you how are the trees doing that you lifted the skirts on? I just subscribed so I haven't had a chance yet to see if you did a follow up. Thanks for making this video and sharing it.

Why are people disliking? It's because you are immature and silly. If you are going public with your videos you need to use inoffensive language and behaviour - it might be ok between you and your long suffering partner but for the rest of us - try growing up.
