But unfortunately most of them join this profession for making personal gains. Although it is not solely their fault. Today we value a person based on money, not knowledge. Teachers are also part of the same society. Heartless punishment, lack of vision, abusive words and negligence of duty make many teacher like a monster to kids. It permanently damages a child's self esteem and confidence. Many commit suicide. These so called teachers completely destroyed the Teachers image. Now small kids evaluate their teachers. Every day is a teacher's day. A teacher has to remain alert about the needs of learners be it physical, mental or something else .In a poor country like India most of the the students are 1st . generation learners and usually they don't have the opportunity to learn specific prescribed syllabi at homes, and as a result of the lack of needful care and guidance of the parents, the learners especially in rural areas fail to master the lessons taught in classes, the teachers here don't get back proper feedback from the students which despair the teachers, and they don't feel motivated to teach in such a situation ,they just keep repeating the same lessons to get the students pass exams.Then what's the solution? In rural areas more schools with smaller classes with 20students at the best with sufficient teachers may bring a sea change in the learning of rural students. The dismal scenario of teaching learning is getting bad to worse day to day,in rural schools.. and the Government should look into this matter, and make some thing positive for unfortunate rural pupils. On the occasion of Teachers 'day I feel to highlight this painful picture to draw the attention of all concerned.
