Wave, I was wondering what these really sounded like and your review gives me an excellent sense without me actually hearing them, as there’s none to audition where I am. Nice review.
Thank you. You are reviewing the most state of the art headphones. Your record of reviewing only the most TOTL headphones is unmatched. Please try to get and review the Sonoma Model 1 and T+A Solitaire P and P-SE.
You mean a seal that puts pressure on the planar film? I have the Mobius and haven't noticed any issues. Edit: I get it now, saw it in the vid. The HEDDphone sounds like walking on dried leaves with the slightest movement.
The owner of this set asked Audeze that same question. They said it was a goof on their end: forum.hifiguides.com/t/audeze-crbn-electrostatic-headphone/27639/48

Thanks for the review. E-stats are something that I probably would not venture into on my own, but I find them interesting to hear about.
LCD-R is not a planar, it's ribbon.
thank you for an honest review.... I bought the LCD-5 but I need to bring back the mid a bit.
I think Resolve over at The Headphone Show made an EQ curve for it if you'd like to check that out :D

I wonder how they compare to the Sonoma acoustic bravura headphone system 🙂
Auditioned these at London Can Jam Show one of the few phones id swap my Utopias for
I would call this sound signature - mid forward.
I have a hyperx cloud orbit, which is based on the Audeze Mobius, and it has some serious driver crinkle.

@@hartyewh1 yeah anytime I handle them or adjust them on my head it's crinkle crinkle crinkle.

Probably a Carbon :)
500 g? Not 300 as in the specs?

@@wavetheorysound ~0.5 kg is too much for an electrostat...
Jesus, even when they don't have to include any magnets Audeze still insist on making their headphones over half a kg
Kinda looks like a knock off Empy 😄
But sounds way better
@@bluemonstrosity259 I don't doubt that for a second.
