Yes, he's sooooooo slow. Been having prophetic dreams of our future since we met. It's the only thing that kept me going. Last I heard from him was 4 months ago. Last I saw him was 10 months ago. We are at 14 months/18.
Weirdest thing about this is that it is between my daughter and myself. Had I known that she wanted minimal involvement in her life, I would have never altered my life, given her access to my personal property and given my time watching my grandchildren for free.
Honestly from the beginning was a requirement but that did not happen. Instead the intention was to use my time, property and efforts with nothing coming back to me and no plan about how I was to sustain my own life and maintain my own goals.

Personally speaking, I couldn't get the water out of the titanic quick enough. As an adult and human when it was finally communicated to me a year later how it made them feel, I did what they didn't, I listened to how my words had made them feel, initially I did ,just like both sexes, accidentally interrupt, and I'd just allow the other party to take over. Because I was beyond desperate to not only help, repair a moment with recognition to the hurt party, and I didn't certainly then go off.
I did much worse - I switched off.
In both doing that neither respected the other anymore, didn't matter to me who did what first - all that mattered was someone who's claimed they love me...which for the 3rd and best time in my life I actually thought maybe I'd gotten it right.
Irrespective of past partners of either, we weren't our best selves.
They had the work home bal out of whack, and i suddenly had some of my adult children in my home. Other people's actions that weren't in any form related to me or my kids, were essentially cast on myself.
So heck yeah, two single mates CAN fuck other people. I said I'd use condoms with others, and when I met someone...I'd immediately let them know.

I also said I just wanted her to be happy - she replied she never wanted to hear from me again. My brother died a few weeks before her uncle passed away and I was moved to reach out to give her support - she told my best mate that I was harassing her - it’s at this point that I gave up all hope . Ultimately I’m in the same boat as you - alone and unhappy - I am sorry for what happened and wish I could turn back time but that takes two really
