Honestly I'm very disappointed at the fact that there is no miis in this game. Being able to play and customize my miis stats and clothes was one of the reasons why I loved Mario & Sonic Rio 2016. Not to mention it looks like Nintendo is trying to make everyone forget about miis now, despite the fact that Mii games Did the best compared to almost ALL OF THEIR OTHER GAMES. But that won't stop me from praying for a Tomodachi life for the switch.
Rio was also better because the characters would interact with each other when they won as a team. This game doesn't even do something that simple. Also I do enjoy miis.
No Roy? No Heavy King? No Funky Kong? No Birdo? No Toad? No Heavy Gunner? No Mighty? No Ray? No Morton Jr.? Not even skins?? They could have put way more characters.

Vonic the rabbit superstar, Miis aren’t well represented on the switch. So they probably wont make it a future dlc. Perhaps they will put them in as a future update. But the chances are slim. Both would be good ideas for representing miis in this game and they most likely will add them in some way. They were included in every console version for the Wii and Wii U and once for the 3ds. So it’s kind of half and half weather the miis will be in or not.

So i did my reaserch, and i came to find that 7 of the guest characters are in skill type, 2 are in power type, and 3 are in speed. There is no all-around type. So if you sort them with the normal charcters, 12 of them are in skill, 8 are in power, 7 are in speed, and 5 are in all around (correct me if i'm wrong).
