I'm an atheist who shares gender critical views. I don't think the gender critical side of the debate should be giving a religious objection. It should be giving a secular one because there are people like me, though admittedly not in large numbers, who don't need a god in order to reject any ideology. The ideology, on its merits and effects alone, is worthy of our criticism. If you remove religion or gods as part of your justification, your reasoning doesn't get clouded by the mystical nature of gods and religions.
If you don't have God, then where does your idea of right and wrong come from? Everything just is. It's purely a person subjective opinion because you've got no God to refer to as an absolute standard. "... your reasoning doesn't get clouded by the mystical nature of gods and religions." Reasoning gets clouded by _not_ recognising God. Christianity involves using reason and logic, which comes from God. It was Christians who founded modern science. The atheist view is that we are here simply be accident, with no design or intention.

Utter nonsense. If he's going to use pronouns of someone (which we all do as it's a normal part of language), we need to know which ones (male or female) to use, and 99% of the time, it's obvious which they are.
To @DemocratsUnite: If it’s none of the teacher’s business - if the student is a boy or a girl -then why get so upset if he (the teacher) does not want to use pronouns to refer to this student? In addition, the teacher did not determine if this student was a boy or a girl, this student did. However, the teacher would not go along with the ignorance of this student, and the lie that this student was determined to make him (the teacher) acknowledge by using the incorrect pronouns (he, him) for this student’s sex (which remains female). She can pretend to be a male. She can have her body parts cut off, and take hormones, but that will NEVER make her a male. Her DNA is female. She will always be female.

By the way, teacher unions are the political machines who are installing school board members. Find out who they back in your school district elections and then vote against them.
To many making money off things that produce nothing.
Its really hard to use the name and never pronouns. I had a trans coworker and I tried that but
I'm an atheist who shares gender critical views.
"... your reasoning doesn't get clouded by the mystical nature of gods and religions."
Reasoning gets clouded by _not_ recognising God. Christianity involves using reason and logic, which comes from God. It was Christians who founded modern science. The atheist view is that we are here simply be accident, with no design or intention.

I agree no one should be compelled to speak in a way that is wrong. I've been faced with those that violated all such things. All the way to being told of i will just say i never taught my own child under the age of 18 free of charge then they'd make it all just go away. Terrible stuff when not only freedom of speech is violated such as one will not use this or that word in business portions of freedom of speech but worse when one tries following the ten commandments as a life principle, demonstrate such to their own children. And are told no you must lie or be unfairly and unjustly fined degraded and punished. Following honor thy mother and father in the original context of families mentored their own in family businesses such as farming etc to pass on generations of work and whats just. It is said by some arguing over simple vocabulary such as the words and the words or or the words any combination of usually occurs before great downfalls of great society's. So it is imperative children learn sticks and stones may hurt my bones but words will never hurt me. Otherwise victimization is not only perpetuated but utilized as a reversing of educational material that gives all a basic foundation and guage of things to come. Glad common knowledge and common use of language was addressed. My hopes for the youth you interacted with is they find their confidence not in controlling others words and if not harming children and others wirh that but in confidence in whom they are as they mature.

No. An attack on our psyche of this magnitude comes straight from the devil. Many of these teachers and counselors are doing this behind the parents' backs. That's why some parents are filing lawsuits.

The school administrators rejected that arrangement, and told him (the teacher) that he had to agree to use male pronouns.

Wow, you don't see what's happening at all. You think appeasing someone demanding you give up your freedom of speech is going to preserve your freedom? Do you think bending to their will, causing you to deny reality will be the end of their demands? Evil keeps pushing boundaries and is never satisfied until they have complete control. And then they start turning on each other.

Who is this teacher determined if the student is a boy or a girl? That’s none of his business.
Commi UA-cam may be deleting my comments, again! Either that, or @DemocratsUnite can’t take the truth that females can not become males and males can not become females!
It does not work that way for communication purposes.

It's not "hijacking the language", it's just calling someone by their preferred name. Pronouns are just someone's name.

Absolutely false. Perhaps you need to learn English.
@@PJRayment I know English and am familiar with French. When used to refer to a person in the 3rd person (he, she, them, it), as in the case at hand, one is using a Personal Pronoun. In the instance, "Peter is a jerk," I would be substituting his _name_ to refer to him in the 3rd person, "He is a jerk." If you were Peter's friend, you would afford him the courtesy of using his preferred name (Peter) and not consistently calling him Frank, or Alice, or whatever.
In French, many words have either a masculine or feminine gender. But, the same principle is observed when referring to a person in the 3rd person, the preference is deferred to the subject and not the speaker. _Unless you're a jerk_ with a religious objective like we have here.

Yes, a pronoun, not a name.
"In the instance, "Peter is a jerk," I would be substituting his name to refer to him in the 3rd person, "He is a jerk." "
_Substituting_ something for something else does not mean that they are the same thing. A name and a pronoun are two different things.

Yes. But your point escapes me.
"In French, many words have either a masculine or feminine gender."
This issue is about biological sex, not language gender.
"But, the same principle is observed when referring to a person in the 3rd person, the preference is deferred to the subject and not the speaker."
False. A name is particular to the individual. A pronoun is particular to their sex. Also, keep in mind that you're referring to the person when speaking to a third person. You're not even speaking to the person you're referring to.
" _Unless you're a jerk_ with a religious objective like we have here."
You mean the Marxist religion you're basing your argument on? Because that comment doesn't apply to this teacher, who is not a jerk in sticking to accurate language, and his "objective" is not religious, but truth, which is a (good) Christian principle.
