Really enjoyed this. You have basically described my EXACT history of working with gear, graduating to software, and then amalgamating the two. (Minus of course scoring a 808/909/303 randomly...dude... so lucky >< ) I also completely agree with your non bias analog/digital point of view. Both have there uses and charms... I have just started my modular collection and am looking forward to getting deeper into this. Thanks for the interview! Godspeed.
It seems to be a common theme.... Start with HW. Move to SW. Go back to HW, or, best case scenario, synthesize the two. I went totally SW for a long while and became quite effective at writing the same track a million different ways.... now I have HW again and my DAW is [mostly] sending out MIDI. I love what I hear and I'm learning to finish and simply yank out my patch cables. Of course, the sequences _all_ get saved :)
this is what trends do with ppl. so always remember this when you see a new hype for gear that makes everyone sell their flagship gear. Remember that one day, everyone wanted to get rid of his 303 to afford a Pentium with Rebirth...
nice to have stuff like this and IDOW captured for all times

Awesome stuff
Sleep Complex is a masterpiece. It also makes great BF4 music.
Division of Trust is awesome
1:29 Vinyls
Gordito is cute
Luckiest bastard in the world. Happens to find a 909, 808 and 303 gathering dust in the back room, available for him to use all the time???

Ha! no one's going to buy that shit lol. I still wonder how huge the techno market is. Techno in general and minimal techno
This guy makes such boring music.
