Very nice driving in the Reno, it didn't look like a 1:45 but very smooth and great lines. Also shows just how good the Trophy R is. What tires were you running and anything else like a tune? Extra camber?
Thanks! I often seem to do quick times when the red mist descends and I'm chasing a quicker car with no thought of self preservation. I use a 10Hz GPS with VBox so I trust the timing. It certainly is a great car designed for the track. On that day I was running Hankook F200 slicks and grip conditions on the day were ideal (except for a few oil patches). In 2018 the car had intake, exhaust mods including a modified OEM turbo and an ECU flash tune. Adjustable strut tops with around -2 camber and the usual brake pad and brake fluid upgrades.
@@DOO00K Yes, I think I saw you slide off a bit chasing a Skoda in another vid! Nice mods and very good time none the less. I guess Reno does make the Trophy R specifically for the track so it is quite good out of the box. I am a bit of a track novice but keen to improve my times. What sort of seat do you have in the Trophy R? I have a comfort 18way seat in my car but I am really not fat enough for it! Not good for the track.
@@donr868 it comes standard with Pole Positions. It makes a world of difference along with the 5-point Sabelt harness. You'll make time simply by being secure in your seat rather then trying to hold on with the G-force. Especially around a fast track like SMSP.
@@DOO00K Wow, that is set up for the track! Do you also have a role cage? I agree with what you're saying, doing these sorts of speeds on the track a good race seat and secure harness is really a must. How are they comfortwise on a long drive?
Don R, no, no roll cage. Although it’s my weekend track toy, it’s still a registered road car that does get used for life duties. The longest drive I’ve done is the day I bought the car from Brisbane to Sydney and the seats were fantastic.
The boy can drive!👍
Thomas Davico But still much to learn. Even that wasn’t a clean lap.
@@DOO00K They're not doing track days at the moment right?
Starting up again in July I think?
Thomas Davico not at the moment, no. The Bend in SA are holding track days though. Wish I could get down there for one!
Is this car stock Yuri?

impressive. consistent. enjoyed the gain on the Porsche each time on Turn 1 (and Turn 5.. ? I think).
Thanks! It’s a fun car on the track. It gives a lot of feedback with great handling.
