It's 2:30am and I just woke up from a weird disturbing dream and couldn't go back to sleep. By some random spin of the UA-cam algorithm I ended up watching this video. I don't know you Meg Mac but this makes a beautiful and powerful statement for someone who may feel like they hold a position of less power. I feel this will resonate with many people today. I very rarely comment publicly on anything but this moved me and I wanted to say thank you. At one point when the vocals stopped and you were surrounded in the circle I literally got goosebumps over my entire body. Harry White That’s exactly what I’m saying. I happened to have the privilege of enjoying the company of Meg, her sister that evening as I too sat beside my sister, next to us sat a lady with her baby. There were mothers with sister, nieces with aunts, Ladies from a social dance group, and the mother of the director. There were sisters by blood, and sisters in friendship. I hope this has helped you to see the close bonds that tie women together have nothing remotely to do with sexuality. It was a night of healing for many, art for some, support for others.
