Your master just seems to have more stereo/ sub....CRWTH🔥🫵🥀 Broski, when I get paid, I'll try grabbing your sample packs... I've just been a broke joke... But all the blessings in the world, brother...
Thank you!!! Been looking for a quick easy straightforward mastering tutorial. I can't wait to get home and apply this, I've been trying to get better bass for a while and I kept drowning out the highs. The volume automation on the snares etc that you mentioned on another vid is legendary info. Thanks again.
So its subtractive EQ on areas you believed were problematic and then a limiter doin 10db or reduction? If you're after a little extra grit, you could reduce gain into the limiter, get to maybe -3db to -5db of reduction and then softclip after the limit - Just increase softclip gain to taste. Cause the track will be flat post L2 the softclip will be addin that harmonic distortion pretty much non-stop which might be a smidge jarring but still worth checking out to see if you vibe. Alternately, you could softclip pre limit and aim for maybe 3db to 5db of reduction to get some grit on some the dynamics rather than the post limits flat waveform and then bump the limiter up to taste.
If you get the settings right, L2 starts to clip (desirably) after a point. L2 has an internal hard clipper right after the limiter and as far as I know, some style options like punchy, dynamic, and aggressive allow to clip the transients and limit the rest of the parts if you push it hard enough. It is crazy how much can be done with just one plugin....... need to learn the plugin really well to get the most out of it.
@@pistolenbob9876 i feel like it depends more on the amount of different instruments you try to bring together in your mix. in my expirience dnb often has a more complex drum structure wich made it harder to find a good balance for my overall track. just curious about crwth's approach on mixing dnb
