Actual ma'am till 1980s most catholics used to wear saree (white or coloured) to the nuptials at church.
Wearing gowns first became a status symbol. Coz gowns were more expensive than sarees
Then in future decades gowns became trending coz I guess women want to enjoy wearing different outfits.
We wear saree everyday so only one day we get to wear big puffy gown 😂
But after nuptials in wedding function/party almost all christian communities bride will change to red saree as per the customs of the land.

@@user-oy6gn7lu7k It is better to be in a saree as it can be used later. A gown cannot be worn again. Bengali brides wear white/off white sarees for the church ceremony and a red saree for the reception.

திருமணத்தில் பட்டு சேலை அணிந்த இந்த மணமகளுக்கு எனது வாழ்த்து.
இன்றய காலகட்டத்தில் , திருமணத்தில் பல பெண்களும் சேலைக்குப் பதில் கவுன் அணிகிறார்கள். இதனை பலரும் விரும்புவதில்லை. இந்த புதிய கலாச்சாரத்தை தடுக்க வேண்டும் என்றால், மணமகள் எவ்வாறு திருமணத்தின் போது சேலை கட்டிக்கிறார்களோ, அது போல மணமகனும் வேட்டி அணிய வேண்டும்.

@@Mr-black-devil hai, I am from kerala.here white color is compulsory for bride in christians.white ,cream or golden color.that our choice.long years ago only white color compulsory.now golden color also came.after noon party or reception we can wear color sarees means celai or party wear.sarees means patt celai.during groom wearing thaali to bride in the presence of priest that time white or golden saree or gown is compulsory. But I liked this color full wedding video so much.bride wear color saree.so beautiful.
