So letting everyone keep their memories, but still killing the son would likely lead to anakin coming to his senses a bit. He realized the order was wrong and would walk away from it, but he'd also have the time to realize he'll lose everything he loves if he goes to the dark side. I could see him just walking away from it all and being with pademe. He'd probably take the place of her personal body guard
There was a comic/magizne that explained what would have happened. Basically Anakin goes back with the son to courasunt, kills yoda and Sidious, and then declares himself ruler of the galaxy.
@@caneloex5897 if it's only palpatine and yoda, the answer is a 3 way war with clones and some jedi in the republic's corner, aniken's jedi rebelling against a failed system that has prove that palpatine worked as a double agent sith lord, and the separatists, of which would be lead by dooku and grevios, at full strength and no longer making dumb droids as they actually want to win the war. This could lead to either both aniken and the republic teaming up as they still have a common enemy, or the separatists actually winning. Not sure what would happen from either angle or if there's one I'm missing, but I'd be interesting.

People seem to forget that Anakin had already fallen. He was already Vader. With the full power of the Chosen One he may destroyed the entire galaxy in an attempt to avoid his fate.
one nitpick ... if Anakin kept the future knowledge then Why would he take the knee to Palpatine with the knowledge that Palpatine was the one that had orcestrated the war and was responsible for the Many Many attempts on Padmes life? it dont make no sense! The StarWars community hates Anakin for the wrong reasons. Anakin had many problems, but he still LOVED and cared for those around him, even if it was a misguided love. He fell because of his own fear, yes, but not because his heart was evil to the core like Sidious. So yes, Yoda was right when he said fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering, however the context of that statement should only be used when said person has received love, grace, and compassion from the authority figures over him, and still decides not to listen to the wisdom of said people. Did the Jedi ever have compassion for him as whole? Did they ever put even a little trust in him? No they turned him away every time he tried his best to do his best for them, he got reproached, rebuked, for what he perceived were the best options. Of course Anakin actions were reckless, but he could never receive correction because the attitude of the people around, and above him were so high handed, self righteous, seemingly all knowing, arrogant dogmatic people. When love,grace, and compassion are not at the center of your institution your bound to have Yoda’s statement finally cycle through. Quigon, Dooku, and Ashoka, we’re incredibly wise to have detached themselves from the Jedi when they did. With Quigon probably being the greatest Jedi of his time and maybe all of history for his insightfulness before it all fell to madness.

How I see it. It would end with Anakin and padme leaving corosant out of shame and go to a simple life in the outer rim and ahsoka probably would leave the order too but down her grey path and visit her master time to time while the twins learn the forces unrestrained by ether doctrine Anakin would probably be a junk dealer/repair merchant and lead the local militia while padme would end up as a local diplomat doing mayor duties
That is how I see it too, already knowing his future. Even if he did want to stop it, is the alternative really any better? It was either he stops Sidious and still follow being a Jedi, an Order that doesn't have a promising future for his family. Or Join Sidious and eventually betray him, causing untold complications. Anakin would have been a lot more thoughtful in my opinion, after seeing his future weighing his options and then he would just ultimately decide it's not worth it. Doing exactly what you said, and living a peaceful life, just because he see his future it doesn't mean he has to do something about it. But I don't think Anakin would have much of a choice, Sidious would still want his apprentice by any means and the Jedi will still want their chosen one.

Anakin will be enough in the light side to still be able to listen to Ahsoka, but I don't think it will last very long. Anakin doesn't need to fall to the darkside to bring balance because bringing balance is really subjective. How do you view it? But Good Point.

Good story but I think it all goes downhill when Anakin is arrested. Anakin at that point in time has literally no reason to betray the Jedi, he would see that they were there to arrest Palpatine, and would not have given in so easily. Padme was safe, he had 0 reason to give in., And with his memories in tact, he would realize that the dark side would lead him down the path he swore not to take. The path that leads to Padme's death. So it's unrealistic at that point. All good up until that. It would more realistically end with him being electrocuted by Palpatine, the Jedi come in, attack Palps to save Anakin, Palpatine engages in a fight, managing to kill one or two but no more than that, as Yoda and Windu as well as Kenobi are all there too., making Palpatine unable to have much free time to kill the others. It's actually possible he can only manage to kill one or none before Yoda engages in a duel. Windu assists Yoda, alongside the other masters. Kenobi goes to Anakin to ensure that he's okay. As Palpatine gets reinforcements, and begins to use what ever tricks he may have to try to attack the Jedi., Anakin slowly struggles to get up and, enraged with how Sidious had hurt him, and lied to him this entire time.. Realizing that Palpatine had used him and played him from the beginning, he grips Palpatine in the force, choking him, and rendering him defenseless as he did not expect the injured Anakin to be capable of such a feat as choking him with the force. The Jedi realize that this is wrong, Anakin is tapping into his rage and anger. Kenobi begins to protest, Yoda is skeptical, but Windu considers it heavily. He likely convinces the others to let Anakin kill Palpatine because the prophecy is clearly being fulfilled as Anakin is the chosen one and is killing the sith Lord., After deliberation though, they eventually decide to stop Anakin, just in time, as Palpatine was barely clinging on to his life. Palpatine faints, going unconscious as he's imprisoned. The case is explained to the public, and with out someone playing both sides of the war, the Jedi manage to convince Dooku to gather the seperatist leaders together after some.... Let's just call it advanced interrogation techniques.. Dooku gathers them together while also secretly making a distress signal. However, as he's in the Capitol of the Republic, no one comes to rescue him. Especially due to the strange convenience of him gathering the separatists together before calling for help. The separatists realize something might be off, and go to leave., only to be captured by a legion of clone troopers lead by which ever Jedi was closest to where the separatists had to gather. Ultimately, the command center for the entire droid army is soon discovered, and they're shut down. Grevious is still on the loose, but can be dealt with later. Maul is still alive, as is Savage I believe. So is Ventress. Dooku is a prisoner of war. Palpatine is scheduled to be executed. Rather than an official executioner, Anakin, over come by his rage and knowing that Palpatine was being killed anyways, sneaks into the cell to kill Palpatine himself. However, the dark Lord tries once more to manipulate Anakin. But at this point he has no leverage. Anakin was promised to become a master, if not already granted the rank of master at the time., as he had earned the trust of the Jedi by capturing the Sith Lord himself. Padme is also not in danger., so Sidious has nothing to use over Anakin.. He tries to get up and fight, to inflict pain on Anakin, but is pushed against the wall with the force., before being impaled with Anakin's saber. His lifeless body then falls on the floor with a thud, and Anakin leaves the cell. The doors close behind him. The body is later discovered, and where it's a shock, the Jedi don't dwell on it much. They know who did it. They become skeptical, but keep silent for now. They shouldn't be causing more conflict by making an issue over a dead sith who was going to be killed anyways. TL;DR: Basically Anakin helps them capture Sidious and they end the war, then Anakin kills Sidious before his scheduled execution. The Jedi aren't okay with this but it ultimately ends well for everyone.

Na, I don't think it was just visions of the future, I think it was the whole future, and we the viewer just see snippets of that. Because if Anakin saw what we saw and that's it he'd just be horrified and not say "You do not know what have to do to end the Clone Wars." Because they're not even remotely enough even deduce that this has something to do with the Clone Wars. I think Anakin was planning on somehow dealing with the Clones and Palpatine.
tbh I could see every part of that except from Anakin bowing to Sideous early since Padme isn't pregnant and Anakin doesn't know much about her dying so Sideous couldn't have convinced him unless he told Anakin she will die soon
What if cal kestis survived and found Ezra and kanan before kanan lost his eye, (that would also include ahsoka but he would obviously meet Ezra and Lana first) What if maul had trained savage fully (learning force lightning etc) instead of building his criminal empire
2:19 your wrong because if he would have not erased the memories of Anakin then he would not turn to the dark side and would not be able to bring balance to the force , what balance means is that both the dark and the light should be equal and if the father had not removed the memories then the light would prevail bringing imbalance . According to you balance is light but actually it's both being equal
Now what I put is a much more logical progression. Even though some people think that Anakin would fall under the influence of the brother, you have to look at what anakin did in the actual show. He left obi wan alive in the lava pit but didn't injure him and he still had the reasoning and mind to not really hurt Ahsoka. So I think Anakin as Vader at this point would be more calculated and in control of his emotions as the older vader grew. I think that Anakin/Vader would never submit to palpatine again because he saw what that led to. Remember the first thing he said to Obi wan is that, "you, won't understand what I have to do to end the clone war." I believe that he would have tried to do something about the inhibitor chips first and then went right after dooku and maul and found allies in the dark side users and taking out key pieces that Sidious could use against him and start to cripple sidious's underground empire. Then going straight to padme to tell her about his plan to kill Sidious/Palpatine. Ahsoka and Obi wan would then find a way to contact yoda or Mace Windu and tell them about their situation and about anakin. Windu Helps Ahsoka and Obi wan and Yoda goes to find anakin, as he can feel the dark side radiating from him.
Alternatively, Anakin learns force lightning from the living avatar of the dark side he hangs out with, and with his balance-breaking force potential simply shoots down entire fleets and decides the war by himself, as a much stronger but less creepy and evil counterpart to sidious. Since Anakin has always displayed preference of good over law, this would be fatal to the republic and separatists, but good for the galaxy itself as there would now be an angry god that regularly vaporizes evil and probably doesn't much care about planets self-governing.
even if his memory wasnt erased by the Father, all 3 forget after leaving. Been funny if as they left, her wrote on a piece of cloth "Sidious is Palpatine", that mixed with Yoda's vision of Order 66 would make an interesting outcome.
If Anakin had visions of this happening, then why would he continue to go through with this and have it happen anyways? Did I miss something because that didn't really make much sense to me
I think the actions of the dark side would actually had saved the universe from darth vader rising. But the dark side could also have showned it to anakin so the profecy happens earlyer. But as he says he would do anything for that not to happen, bit we all know where that path leads to without he even realizing it.
That would be miserable because he would have to live with the knowledge that he would lose everyone I like to think the father spared him some misery and just let the force decide what would happen.
This is interesting but i feel like you missed the whole point of anakins ark.. anakin never wanted to turn to the dark side, he did it out of fear that had been implanted in him by sidious.. i dont believe anakin would have turned to the dark side if he had been given the forsight of what was going to happen
Anakins fall to the dark side while tragic was necessary. He was the only character to kill the Sith. Both Dooku and Sidious. You might argue that Obi Wan killed Maul. But Maul wasn't a Sith when Obi Wan killed him. He was just a rogue force user. The Sith were more powerful than the entire Jedi Order combined. It was made evident that the Jedi were losing their connection to the Force during the prequels. Only the Chosen One could defeat the Sith and that is what Skywalker did.
SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!! Why did the son look so much like the inquisitor? I thought it would eventually mean something about the grand inquisitor being some reincarnation of the dark side itself or something......It's just weird considering that he basically isn't that much of an important character (What I mean by that is that he dies at the end of season one of Rebels and appears to become this sort of slave ghost controlled by Vader in the comics).
Pretty well developed! I had my own what if on this, but in the other direction; There memories are still wiped. Years later, Anakin, now Darth Vader, slowly begins to remember what happened, and the lesson. During his search for Mortis’ ship, he discovers more finally puts all of the pieces together for him. Palpatine had indeed deceived him, though he can’t absolve what he himself has done, believing himself to be irredeemably, he sees the need to be the Chosen One that he should’ve been and depose Palpatine and end the legacy of the Sith. With the Jedi and Sith removed, he would restore the Balance to the Force, and then need to set up a framework to maintain that Balance without falling to the same mistakes of the Jedi and the Republic, that lead to the Sith, the instability in the Force and the end of the Jedi Order and the Republic, the death of the Ones and his own fall. And he secretly designs contingency plans if he is unsuccessful or dies, for his son to pickup the torch were he left off. In other words to fix things for the good, (the real good, not the falsehood that Palpatine seeded within him), holding no hope for his own redemption. He still finds redemption through his son as it played out in RotJ. A few years after the last book of Luke New Jedi Order’s era in Legends. A tired Luke has a vision, and decides to leave the Order so that the Jedi Council can learn to actually work like a Council of equal Masters rather than needing a leader to decide things for them which was one of the problems with the Jedi Council of the Prequels, and sets out on a journey that ultimately leads him to his fathers plans. And he spends the rest of his life developing that framework so that galactic civilization is prepared to survive the chaos that destroys civilization that Abeloth was only the harbinger of. The last two who take part in this just before the agents of chaos arrives are the two that finally ended the Sith, Cade Skywalker and his female cousin who was a descendant of Leia Organa Solo. (Along with the last leader of the reformed Lost Tribe of the Sith). The last Force users and enough people and technology needed to quickly restore galactic civilization have retreat into the most hidden places in the galaxy for after Chaos does its thing. This end part starts a few years after the last issue of the Legacy comic story arch.
This is such a bad theory just because Anakin is loyal to Palpatine. I'm absolutely sure that since Padme was alive and he never got burned and lost almost everything to obi wan and became a slave to Sidious, he would just use his memories of the future and new dark side abilities to not only kill Sidious but also stay alive. a timeline from the clone wars where anakin gets to see the future from the Son and doesnt get his mind erased by the father, and turns sith but still has his sense of reasoning intact. Meaning to say, that this time since he's seen the future and knows what happens, and this time he asks for obi wans help this time, even with his sith eyes. First He will make the brother think he's on his side and trap him there on the planet since he has the power of both light and dark and he is the chosen one also he made both the son and the daughter submit already. Then He and Obi Wan go back to the ship where ahsoka is and where the father asks anakin what he did with his son, where anakin tells him, "He won't be a problem" and then the father sees anakin's Eyes and feels that he has seen the future and tries to erase his memory, but then the Vader side of anakin Force Chokes the father, and Obi Wan says "Anakin That's enough". Anakin Says to them all, "I have seen what becomes of everything, The Galaxy, The Jedi, the War, the sith, and me". "Obi wan" Anakin says "We need to leave" And then the father tells Obi wan "He has seen what should not be seen, tempted by the dark side. You must stop him." Obi wan lays the father down and grabs his hilt, igniting his light saber and says. "Anakin, I don't know what the son has shown you, but, I can not let you leave on that ship." Anakin then say’s to obi wan “if you are not with me, then your against me.”as Anakin ignites his light saber and the two clash anakin leaps at Obi wan, His eyes burning with searing red as if he could feel his battle on mustafar against obi wan right now. The two engage in a vicious battle. Anakin constantly charging towards obi wan, while obi wan being a master of defensive battle, quickly and decisively defending anakins onslaught. But this is no longer just Anakin, he was also Darth Vader. Dark lord of the sith. Now with anakin’s grasp of conciousness slowly fading and darth vader becoming more prevalent in his mind, obi wan senses the change within in him through the force as the battle goes on. This anakin’s style was different from the anakin he had grown up with and he fought beside, obi wan struggles to keep anakins saber at bay. Obi wan acts fast and jumps onto the ship, then speaks to anakin and says, “ Anakin please! can’t you see that these are just things that the brother is using to control you. He wants you to fall to the dark side so he can escape.” And in that moment anakin, or should I say Darth Vader has a flash back to where him and Obi wan battled on mustafar, and obi wan having the high ground. Anakin then tells Obi wan “Obi wan all he did was show me the future. iv’e already taken care of him where he can do no harm.” Obi wan then tells anakin,” Then stop this madness, you are the chosen one, you are my brother anakin.” And again Darth vader’s memory surfaces in anakin’s mind. It is the moment on mustafar where anakin is lying there helpless, along the firey rocky surface near the lava, right before he got burned and Obi wan telling him. “You were the chosen one, it is said that you would destroy the sith not join them! You were my brother anakin. I loved you.” Anakin then says,” your right obi wan. I am the chosen one.” Anakin then unignites his saber and sticks out his hands like he did with the brother and sister, remembering all the people he force choked as darth vader. Until it then flashes back to padme. “Ani... I love you...” Anakin starts to get angrier and diving more into the dark side. Then like a shock! Anakin flips his eyes open with them being as red as the lava that burned him that day and lifts the entire ship with obi wan on it. Obi wan gets shaken but quickly jumps off the ship and lands behind anakin, with his saber now pointed and ready to fully engage this new foe, because to him this was no longer anakin sky walker, this was a sith. Anakin and Obi wan ensue in another epic battle, their blades humming in the wind, with saber sounds going far in to the distance.
Thats When Anakin then lets out a force push toward obi wan, using the memory of when he used it against palpatine when he first got his cybernetics. Anakin starts to overwhelm obi wan more and more, becoming stronger and faster and more proficient with the dark side, with obi wan keeping up ever so slightly. Anakin then pushes obi wan back and knocking him to higher ground, then Anakin immediately following and jumping to obi wans back side. Anakin ready for the finishing blow and obi wan quickly getting up with his saber to guard and then counter. When suddenly a flash of green light stops both of their sabers. It was Ahsoka, she Jumped in and force pushed them both away from each other, where she says " Master this isn't you, please stop this." Anakin shaking his head, thinking about when he fought ahsoka as darth vader, as Ahsoka says “Anakin!” he remembers when ahoska broke his mask and called out to him in the future, while the other one is right in front of him Then anakin's eyes Go blue for a moment, Telling her "you're right snips" and then his eyes turn back to the sith yellow. Such as when Darth Vader did in the comics when he had the force vision of what it would be like if he turned back into anakin with the kyber crystal. Anakin says to them, " Obi Wan, I'm sorry" and turns off his lightsaber, Obi wan then turns off his lightsaber as well. Anakin goes to the father and asks for forgiveness. The Father sees that anakin has chosen a different path from the one he had walked before. The father then says “ I know that what my son has shown you is indeed very painful, and should not by any means be seen. But I can see that there is still a light in you, and that gives me hope that you will choose the right path. I will not take away what my son has given you. But instead will allow you to choose. But be wary, this knowledge is only tempoary, what you choose to do and the decisions you make are permanent.”and gives them permission to leave. Anakin obi wan and Ahsoka all board the ship saying goodbye to the father. So they all wake Up from the force vision, where commander Rex is still on the comm, but this time anakin's eyes were still sith yellow. Anakin then told Obi Wan and Ahsoka that they needed to go backto coruscant and speak with the jedi council and asked obi wan to call for a meeting, Obi wan hesitant at first, asking anakin “why do you ask this of me? What did the Son show you?” Anakin then tells him that, "I have seen, the sith lord, Darth Sidious and how he manipulates the war." Obi wan immediately asks anakin "are you certain?" Ahsoka Asks Obi Wan "who is this Darth Sidious?" Obi wan tells her " He is the sith lord that count Dooku had mentioned was controlling everything behind the scenes back in my stay on Geonosis." Anakin says "that's right, and thats why while I still have this knowledge and while I am still myself, i must tell the council what I know." They get to Coruscant and anakin walks into the Jedi temple, his eyes still sith yellow, and feeling the dark side in him all the Jedi ignite their lightsabers. Obi wan then tells them, " Put away your weapons " then one of the jedi says, "I feel strong dark side energy coming from him, is he a sith, we must eliminate him here master kenobi." and that's when Yoda comes and tells them all. "Powerful he is, kill us all he could, if he wanted." yoda chuckled. He looks at anakin and anakin nods to yoda then yoda says, "Come, follow me, young sky walker. we have much, to discuss" They get to the council room and as their walking anakin asks ahsoka if she could please protect padme, "you are the only one I can ask, Please.....ahsoka" Ahsoka tells anakin, “of course Master!” Ahsoka then takes off to see padme. anakin yoda and Obi wan get to the council room where all the other masters are standing, lying in wait for him. Mace Windu sternly looking at anakin, since he never trusted him to begin with, anakin glanced at Mace and then proceeded to go over to the council chair he had once sat in crying while looking out of the window and touches it with his hand. Mace then asks Obi wan, "why have you brought him here, I belive that he should be dealt with immediately, he's to big a threat to be left alive." And that's when Obi wan tells him, "that is not the jedi way." then Obi wan says "he says that he has information regarding Darth sidious, he's saying he knows who he is." Mace then asks " Has he told you yet? do you know who he is?" Obi wan then says "No, not yet. He says he needed the entire council to be present and to hear this." Mace says " he could be working with Sidious, he could be here to kill us all." Anakin starting to fill with rage, grips the chair and the room starts shaking with force energy. All the council members get worried, and mace ignites his light saber and that's when yoda steps in and says. "Painful, memories can be, right young skywalker." anakin's rage starts to subside, he turns around and 1 eye sith yellow and the other Blue like anakins, tears streaming out of it. Obi wan looks at anakin shocked "anakin...." master windu puts his lightsaber away. yoda turns around and say's to Mace and the council, " Listen to him, we will " Yoda Feeling the conflict within him. Anakin then Turns around and proceeds to tell them about Sidious and who he is and what he will do. yoda sighs. Mace upset at what he hears and obi wan in complete shock." and that's when Ahsoka sends a transimission to anakin telling him that her and padme are under attack and that she needs help Telling him that she is unconscious. Anakin and the rest of the council hears this as she says, it's count dooku he's coming for us. Anakin jumps up and starts to rush out of the room with obi wan right behind him. Yoda tells anakin that they will take care of sidious, but they must treat this matter carefully. anakin rushing out the room and on to a ship with obi wan the two of them get to padme and ahsoka in a matter of Seconds, using the force speed skill applied to the ship. Anakin rushes to padme's side and Obi wan rushes to ahsoka's. Padme looking up at anakin with his two different colored eyes caressing his face and sees the tears flow from his one blue eye. Padme passes out and Anakin then lies her back down and says “it's 3 against 1 on dooku.”The battle begins and Dooku being faster and stronger in the force than either Obi wan and ahsoka knocks them to the floor rendering both of them relatively unconscious, leaving only anakin. Anakin Now using more Light and dark side power than he ever had before, Dooku releasing force lightning against anakin, as the lightning slowly starts to wind down anakin’s saber. Anakin remembers the time as darth vader when palpatine shot force lightning at him and it slowly crept down his saber, and the events that happened after, where Palpatine dropped him on mustafar, to burn again. Anakin starts to push his saber forward towards dooku with the force. Dooku grimaces and shakes his hand to try to make the lightning stronger, but anakin blocking it with the force and his light saber was now beginning to overwhelm dooku. Dooku steps back as he feels that he is no match for anakin at this point and pushes anakin back a little with the force, then runs to the window, where he picks up padme with the force and picks up obi wan. Both of them dangling outside the window. He tells anakin to choose, “So strong, but still so naive. I will give you a choice, the woman you love, or your Master, the one who raised you.” either padme the love of his life, or Obi wan his master, his brother, but also the one who left him to die. Anakin breathing heavily, turns off his lightsaber and lifts his hand up to obi wan. Count dooku smirks, and stars to drop his hands, and thats when anakin force pulls Obi wans light saber from his unconscious hand and chops off both of Count Dooku's arms. stopping the force that was holding them up.Dooku laughs at anakin mockingly, telling him he doesnt have the power to save them both. Anakin closes his eyes extends both of his arms, then at that moment, anakin remembers Luke and Leia, his two children that he never got to raise. That he never got to hold with his own hands. And padme whom he force choked to death.then with tears running down his cheek, he snaps them back open looking down at dooku and says, "You underestimate my power!" the left side of his body with the sith eye holding up Obi Wan and the light side with Anakin's Blue eye holding up padme. Finally anakin truly becoming one with the force, saves them both, and force pulls Dooku's light saber from the ground and with both light sabers in hand moves them around dooku’s neck and gets ready to strike holding both blue and red lightsabers in his hands as he did before. Both light sabers slightly clashing and humming around dooku’s neck. Thats when Ahsoka starts to wake up and and says "No! Don't! Do it! Master!" and that's when Padme grabs anakin and holds him and says, "Ani, it's okay... I'm okay." anakin not losing padme this time, His sith eye started to slowly fade back to it's normal blue color, he drops the light saber to the ground and hugs padme tight and tells her "I love you". Obi wan starts to wake up and sees an armless defeated dooku unconscious on the ground. Obi wan says to anakin sarcastically, "Anakin....revenge, is not the jedi way." smiling and chuckling. Anakin tells him "Well you see master..." anakin stammers like he usually does and they all start to laugh, and everything seems okay Until they Get a message on their comms from Mace windu and master yoda.
I really liked it all up until the end. I was expecting anakin to kill palpatine in this version, as it seems far more likely than becoming his apprentice. At least imo.
the last part makes no sense at all though. Why would Anakin just randomly join Palpatine after arresting Dooku? Padme hasn't even got pregnant yet either...
So pretty much what happened in Revenge of the Sith and few differences. He would have still become Vader. Or he would have tried to prevent it. At least for Padme and Obi Wan. I would have been intrigued by this what if. Unless we want to go by oh well it was his destiny to become Vader and that's it'
I would like to say this the republic can’t put a Jedi on trial before he is exiled from the Jedi order this is why Ashoka wasn’t put on trial till after she was exiled from the jedi
Well to be fair Anakin didn't become Darth Vader because of Clone Wars he became Darth Vader because of the lack of respect the Jedi Council gave him they make him a member of the Jedi Council but then they don't even give him the title of Jedi Master even though he killed Count Dooku and he's a veteran of the Clone Wars he accomplished as much as Obi-Wan accomplished. This also doesn't include the fact that being mistreated by the Jedi Council and having that nightmare about Padme that's what pushed them over the edge to become Darth Vader he already had a Darkness because of what happened to his mother we all know that from Attack of the Clones so that had nothing to do with Clone Wars everything that happened to him in Revenge of the Sith that's what pushed him over the edge. Not to mention the new Clone Wars is just a reboot a remake of 2005 Star Wars Clone Wars which either way we'll have the same story nevertheless maybe a few extra stuff but both versions if you watch both versions there's no indication that anything cause him to become Darth Vader he always had that darkness and you can see that in the films. mehh unlikely palpatine was skilled enough to make himself an impossible target to save without Shask Ti sacrificing herself. On worst case scenario he would draw his saber kill her and go with grievous.
So letting everyone keep their memories, but still killing the son would likely lead to anakin coming to his senses a bit. He realized the order was wrong and would walk away from it, but he'd also have the time to realize he'll lose everything he loves if he goes to the dark side. I could see him just walking away from it all and being with pademe. He'd probably take the place of her personal body guard
There was a comic/magizne that explained what would have happened. Basically Anakin goes back with the son to courasunt, kills yoda and Sidious, and then declares himself ruler of the galaxy.

@@caneloex5897 if it's only palpatine and yoda, the answer is a 3 way war with clones and some jedi in the republic's corner, aniken's jedi rebelling against a failed system that has prove that palpatine worked as a double agent sith lord, and the separatists, of which would be lead by dooku and grevios, at full strength and no longer making dumb droids as they actually want to win the war. This could lead to either both aniken and the republic teaming up as they still have a common enemy, or the separatists actually winning. Not sure what would happen from either angle or if there's one I'm missing, but I'd be interesting.

The StarWars community hates Anakin for the wrong reasons. Anakin had many problems, but he still LOVED and cared for those around him, even if it was a misguided love. He fell because of his own fear, yes, but not because his heart was evil to the core like Sidious. So yes, Yoda was right when he said fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering, however the context of that statement should only be used when said person has received love, grace, and compassion from the authority figures over him, and still decides not to listen to the wisdom of said people. Did the Jedi ever have compassion for him as whole? Did they ever put even a little trust in him? No they turned him away every time he tried his best to do his best for them, he got reproached, rebuked, for what he perceived were the best options. Of course Anakin actions were reckless, but he could never receive correction because the attitude of the people around, and above him were so high handed, self righteous, seemingly all knowing, arrogant dogmatic people. When love,grace, and compassion are not at the center of your institution your bound to have Yoda’s statement finally cycle through. Quigon, Dooku, and Ashoka, we’re incredibly wise to have detached themselves from the Jedi when they did. With Quigon probably being the greatest Jedi of his time and maybe all of history for his insightfulness before it all fell to madness.

How I see it. It would end with Anakin and padme leaving corosant out of shame and go to a simple life in the outer rim and ahsoka probably would leave the order too but down her grey path and visit her master time to time while the twins learn the forces unrestrained by ether doctrine
Anakin would probably be a junk dealer/repair merchant and lead the local militia while padme would end up as a local diplomat doing mayor duties
That is how I see it too, already knowing his future. Even if he did want to stop it, is the alternative really any better? It was either he stops Sidious and still follow being a Jedi, an Order that doesn't have a promising future for his family. Or Join Sidious and eventually betray him, causing untold complications. Anakin would have been a lot more thoughtful in my opinion, after seeing his future weighing his options and then he would just ultimately decide it's not worth it. Doing exactly what you said, and living a peaceful life, just because he see his future it doesn't mean he has to do something about it. But I don't think Anakin would have much of a choice, Sidious would still want his apprentice by any means and the Jedi will still want their chosen one.

Anakin will be enough in the light side to still be able to listen to Ahsoka, but I don't think it will last very long. Anakin doesn't need to fall to the darkside to bring balance because bringing balance is really subjective. How do you view it? But Good Point.

An independent anakin should go back to pod/spaceship racing, he was the best pilot in the galaxy and would easily and peacefully make enough money for a comfy life. Basically space schumacher.
Good story but I think it all goes downhill when Anakin is arrested.
Anakin at that point in time has literally no reason to betray the Jedi, he would see that they were there to arrest Palpatine, and would not have given in so easily.
Padme was safe, he had 0 reason to give in.,
And with his memories in tact, he would realize that the dark side would lead him down the path he swore not to take. The path that leads to Padme's death.
So it's unrealistic at that point.
All good up until that.
It would more realistically end with him being electrocuted by Palpatine, the Jedi come in, attack Palps to save Anakin, Palpatine engages in a fight, managing to kill one or two but no more than that, as Yoda and Windu as well as Kenobi are all there too., making Palpatine unable to have much free time to kill the others. It's actually possible he can only manage to kill one or none before Yoda engages in a duel.
Windu assists Yoda, alongside the other masters.
Kenobi goes to Anakin to ensure that he's okay.
As Palpatine gets reinforcements, and begins to use what ever tricks he may have to try to attack the Jedi.,
Anakin slowly struggles to get up and, enraged with how Sidious had hurt him, and lied to him this entire time.. Realizing that Palpatine had used him and played him from the beginning, he grips Palpatine in the force, choking him, and rendering him defenseless as he did not expect the injured Anakin to be capable of such a feat as choking him with the force.
The Jedi realize that this is wrong, Anakin is tapping into his rage and anger.
Kenobi begins to protest, Yoda is skeptical, but Windu considers it heavily.
He likely convinces the others to let Anakin kill Palpatine because the prophecy is clearly being fulfilled as Anakin is the chosen one and is killing the sith Lord.,
After deliberation though, they eventually decide to stop Anakin, just in time, as Palpatine was barely clinging on to his life. Palpatine faints, going unconscious as he's imprisoned.
The case is explained to the public, and with out someone playing both sides of the war, the Jedi manage to convince Dooku to gather the seperatist leaders together after some.... Let's just call it advanced interrogation techniques..
Dooku gathers them together while also secretly making a distress signal.
However, as he's in the Capitol of the Republic, no one comes to rescue him. Especially due to the strange convenience of him gathering the separatists together before calling for help.
The separatists realize something might be off, and go to leave., only to be captured by a legion of clone troopers lead by which ever Jedi was closest to where the separatists had to gather.
Ultimately, the command center for the entire droid army is soon discovered, and they're shut down.
Grevious is still on the loose, but can be dealt with later.
Maul is still alive, as is Savage I believe.
So is Ventress.
Dooku is a prisoner of war.
Palpatine is scheduled to be executed.
Rather than an official executioner, Anakin, over come by his rage and knowing that Palpatine was being killed anyways, sneaks into the cell to kill Palpatine himself.
However, the dark Lord tries once more to manipulate Anakin.
But at this point he has no leverage.
Anakin was promised to become a master, if not already granted the rank of master at the time., as he had earned the trust of the Jedi by capturing the Sith Lord himself.
Padme is also not in danger., so Sidious has nothing to use over Anakin.. He tries to get up and fight, to inflict pain on Anakin, but is pushed against the wall with the force., before being impaled with Anakin's saber. His lifeless body then falls on the floor with a thud, and Anakin leaves the cell. The doors close behind him.
The body is later discovered, and where it's a shock, the Jedi don't dwell on it much. They know who did it. They become skeptical, but keep silent for now.
They shouldn't be causing more conflict by making an issue over a dead sith who was going to be killed anyways.
TL;DR: Basically Anakin helps them capture Sidious and they end the war, then Anakin kills Sidious before his scheduled execution. The Jedi aren't okay with this but it ultimately ends well for everyone.

Na, I don't think it was just visions of the future, I think it was the whole future, and we the viewer just see snippets of that. Because if Anakin saw what we saw and that's it he'd just be horrified and not say "You do not know what have to do to end the Clone Wars." Because they're not even remotely enough even deduce that this has something to do with the Clone Wars. I think Anakin was planning on somehow dealing with the Clones and Palpatine.

Now what I put is a much more logical progression. Even though some people think that Anakin would fall under the influence of the brother, you have to look at what anakin did in the actual show. He left obi wan alive in the lava pit but didn't injure him and he still had the reasoning and mind to not really hurt Ahsoka. So I think Anakin as Vader at this point would be more calculated and in control of his emotions as the older vader grew. I think that Anakin/Vader would never submit to palpatine again because he saw what that led to. Remember the first thing he said to Obi wan is that, "you, won't understand what I have to do to end the clone war." I believe that he would have tried to do something about the inhibitor chips first and then went right after dooku and maul and found allies in the dark side users and taking out key pieces that Sidious could use against him and start to cripple sidious's underground empire. Then going straight to padme to tell her about his plan to kill Sidious/Palpatine. Ahsoka and Obi wan would then find a way to contact yoda or Mace Windu and tell them about their situation and about anakin. Windu Helps Ahsoka and Obi wan and Yoda goes to find anakin, as he can feel the dark side radiating from him.
Alternatively, Anakin learns force lightning from the living avatar of the dark side he hangs out with, and with his balance-breaking force potential simply shoots down entire fleets and decides the war by himself, as a much stronger but less creepy and evil counterpart to sidious. Since Anakin has always displayed preference of good over law, this would be fatal to the republic and separatists, but good for the galaxy itself as there would now be an angry god that regularly vaporizes evil and probably doesn't much care about planets self-governing.

If Anakin had visions of this happening, then why would he continue to go through with this and have it happen anyways? Did I miss something because that didn't really make much sense to me

Anakins fall to the dark side while tragic was necessary. He was the only character to kill the Sith. Both Dooku and Sidious.
You might argue that Obi Wan killed Maul. But Maul wasn't a Sith when Obi Wan killed him. He was just a rogue force user.
The Sith were more powerful than the entire Jedi Order combined. It was made evident that the Jedi were losing their connection to the Force during the prequels. Only the Chosen One could defeat the Sith and that is what Skywalker did.

I thought it would eventually mean something about the grand inquisitor being some reincarnation of the dark side itself or something......It's just weird considering that he basically isn't that much of an important character (What I mean by that is that he dies at the end of season one of Rebels and appears to become this sort of slave ghost controlled by Vader in the comics).

I had my own what if on this, but in the other direction;
There memories are still wiped. Years later, Anakin, now Darth Vader, slowly begins to remember what happened, and the lesson. During his search for Mortis’ ship, he discovers more finally puts all of the pieces together for him.
Palpatine had indeed deceived him, though he can’t absolve what he himself has done, believing himself to be irredeemably, he sees the need to be the Chosen One that he should’ve been and depose Palpatine and end the legacy of the Sith. With the Jedi and Sith removed, he would restore the Balance to the Force, and then need to set up a framework to maintain that Balance without falling to the same mistakes of the Jedi and the Republic, that lead to the Sith, the instability in the Force and the end of the Jedi Order and the Republic, the death of the Ones and his own fall. And he secretly designs contingency plans if he is unsuccessful or dies, for his son to pickup the torch were he left off.
In other words to fix things for the good, (the real good, not the falsehood that Palpatine seeded within him), holding no hope for his own redemption. He still finds redemption through his son as it played out in RotJ.
A few years after the last book of Luke New Jedi Order’s era in Legends. A tired Luke has a vision, and decides to leave the Order so that the Jedi Council can learn to actually work like a Council of equal Masters rather than needing a leader to decide things for them which was one of the problems with the Jedi Council of the Prequels, and sets out on a journey that ultimately leads him to his fathers plans. And he spends the rest of his life developing that framework so that galactic civilization is prepared to survive the chaos that destroys civilization that Abeloth was only the harbinger of.
The last two who take part in this just before the agents of chaos arrives are the two that finally ended the Sith, Cade Skywalker and his female cousin who was a descendant of Leia Organa Solo. (Along with the last leader of the reformed Lost Tribe of the Sith). The last Force users and enough people and technology needed to quickly restore galactic civilization have retreat into the most hidden places in the galaxy for after Chaos does its thing. This end part starts a few years after the last issue of the Legacy comic story arch.
This is such a bad theory just because Anakin is loyal to Palpatine. I'm absolutely sure that since Padme was alive and he never got burned and lost almost everything to obi wan and became a slave to Sidious, he would just use his memories of the future and new dark side abilities to not only kill Sidious but also stay alive. a timeline from the clone wars where anakin gets to see the future from the Son and doesnt get his mind erased by the father, and turns sith but still has his sense of reasoning intact. Meaning to say, that this time since he's seen the future and knows what happens, and this time he asks for obi wans help this time, even with his sith eyes. First He will make the brother think he's on his side and trap him there on the planet since he has the power of both light and dark and he is the chosen one also he made both the son and the daughter submit already. Then He and Obi Wan go back to the ship where ahsoka is and where the father asks anakin what he did with his son, where anakin tells him, "He won't be a problem" and then the father sees anakin's Eyes and feels that he has seen the future and tries to erase his memory, but then the Vader side of anakin Force Chokes the father, and Obi Wan says "Anakin That's enough". Anakin Says to them all, "I have seen what becomes of everything, The Galaxy, The Jedi, the War, the sith, and me". "Obi wan" Anakin says "We need to leave" And then the father tells Obi wan "He has seen what should not be seen, tempted by the dark side. You must stop him." Obi wan lays the father down and grabs his hilt, igniting his light saber and says. "Anakin, I don't know what the son has shown you, but, I can not let you leave on that ship." Anakin then say’s to obi wan “if you are not with me, then your against me.”as Anakin ignites his light saber and the two clash anakin leaps at Obi wan, His eyes burning with searing red as if he could feel his battle on mustafar against obi wan right now. The two engage in a vicious battle. Anakin constantly charging towards obi wan, while obi wan being a master of defensive battle, quickly and decisively defending anakins onslaught. But this is no longer just Anakin, he was also Darth Vader. Dark lord of the sith. Now with anakin’s grasp of conciousness slowly fading and darth vader becoming more prevalent in his mind, obi wan senses the change within in him through the force as the battle goes on. This anakin’s style was different from the anakin he had grown up with and he fought beside, obi wan struggles to keep anakins saber at bay. Obi wan acts fast and jumps onto the ship, then speaks to anakin and says, “ Anakin please! can’t you see that these are just things that the brother is using to control you. He wants you to fall to the dark side so he can escape.” And in that moment anakin, or should I say Darth Vader has a flash back to where him and Obi wan battled on mustafar, and obi wan having the high ground. Anakin then tells Obi wan “Obi wan all he did was show me the future. iv’e already taken care of him where he can do no harm.” Obi wan then tells anakin,” Then stop this madness, you are the chosen one, you are my brother anakin.” And again Darth vader’s memory surfaces in anakin’s mind. It is the moment on mustafar where anakin is lying there helpless, along the firey rocky surface near the lava, right before he got burned and Obi wan telling him. “You were the chosen one, it is said that you would destroy the sith not join them! You were my brother anakin. I loved you.” Anakin then says,” your right obi wan. I am the chosen one.” Anakin then unignites his saber and sticks out his hands like he did with the brother and sister, remembering all the people he force choked as darth vader. Until it then flashes back to padme. “Ani... I love you...” Anakin starts to get angrier and diving more into the dark side. Then like a shock! Anakin flips his eyes open with them being as red as the lava that burned him that day and lifts the entire ship with obi wan on it. Obi wan gets shaken but quickly jumps off the ship and lands behind anakin, with his saber now pointed and ready to fully engage this new foe, because to him this was no longer anakin sky walker, this was a sith. Anakin and Obi wan ensue in another epic battle, their blades humming in the wind, with saber sounds going far in to the distance.
Thats When Anakin then lets out a force push toward obi wan, using the memory of when he used it against palpatine when he first got his cybernetics. Anakin starts to overwhelm obi wan more and more, becoming stronger and faster and more proficient with the dark side, with obi wan keeping up ever so slightly. Anakin then pushes obi wan back and knocking him to higher ground, then Anakin immediately following and jumping to obi wans back side. Anakin ready for the finishing blow and obi wan quickly getting up with his saber to guard and then counter. When suddenly a flash of green light stops both of their sabers. It was Ahsoka, she Jumped in and force pushed them both away from each other, where she says " Master this isn't you, please stop this." Anakin shaking his head, thinking about when he fought ahsoka as darth vader, as Ahsoka says “Anakin!” he remembers when ahoska broke his mask and called out to him in the future, while the other one is right in front of him Then anakin's eyes Go blue for a moment, Telling her "you're right snips" and then his eyes turn back to the sith yellow. Such as when Darth Vader did in the comics when he had the force vision of what it would be like if he turned back into anakin with the kyber crystal. Anakin says to them, " Obi Wan, I'm sorry" and turns off his lightsaber, Obi wan then turns off his lightsaber as well. Anakin goes to the father and asks for forgiveness. The Father sees that anakin has chosen a different path from the one he had walked before. The father then says “ I know that what my son has shown you is indeed very painful, and should not by any means be seen. But I can see that there is still a light in you, and that gives me hope that you will choose the right path. I will not take away what my son has given you. But instead will allow you to choose. But be wary, this knowledge is only tempoary, what you choose to do and the decisions you make are permanent.”and gives them permission to leave. Anakin obi wan and Ahsoka all board the ship saying goodbye to the father. So they all wake Up from the force vision, where commander Rex is still on the comm, but this time anakin's eyes were still sith yellow. Anakin then told Obi Wan and Ahsoka that they needed to go backto coruscant and speak with the jedi council and asked obi wan to call for a meeting, Obi wan hesitant at first, asking anakin “why do you ask this of me? What did the Son show you?” Anakin then tells him that, "I have seen, the sith lord, Darth Sidious and how he manipulates the war." Obi wan immediately asks anakin "are you certain?" Ahsoka Asks Obi Wan "who is this Darth Sidious?" Obi wan tells her " He is the sith lord that count Dooku had mentioned was controlling everything behind the scenes back in my stay on Geonosis." Anakin says "that's right, and thats why while I still have this knowledge and while I am still myself, i must tell the council what I know." They get to Coruscant and anakin walks into the Jedi temple, his eyes still sith yellow, and feeling the dark side in him all the Jedi ignite their lightsabers. Obi wan then tells them, " Put away your weapons " then one of the jedi says, "I feel strong dark side energy coming from him, is he a sith, we must eliminate him here master kenobi." and that's when Yoda comes and tells them all. "Powerful he is, kill us all he could, if he wanted." yoda chuckled. He looks at anakin and anakin nods to yoda then yoda says, "Come, follow me, young sky walker. we have much, to discuss" They get to the council room and as their walking anakin asks ahsoka if she could please protect padme, "you are the only one I can ask, Please.....ahsoka" Ahsoka tells anakin, “of course Master!” Ahsoka then takes off to see padme. anakin yoda and Obi wan get to the council room where all the other masters are standing, lying in wait for him. Mace Windu sternly looking at anakin, since he never trusted him to begin with, anakin glanced at Mace and then proceeded to go over to the council chair he had once sat in crying while looking out of the window and touches it with his hand. Mace then asks Obi wan, "why have you brought him here, I belive that he should be dealt with immediately, he's to big a threat to be left alive." And that's when Obi wan tells him, "that is not the jedi way." then Obi wan says "he says that he has information regarding Darth sidious, he's saying he knows who he is." Mace then asks " Has he told you yet? do you know who he is?" Obi wan then says "No, not yet. He says he needed the entire council to be present and to hear this." Mace says " he could be working with Sidious, he could be here to kill us all." Anakin starting to fill with rage, grips the chair and the room starts shaking with force energy. All the council members get worried, and mace ignites his light saber and that's when yoda steps in and says. "Painful, memories can be, right young skywalker." anakin's rage starts to subside, he turns around and 1 eye sith yellow and the other Blue like anakins, tears streaming out of it. Obi wan looks at anakin shocked "anakin...." master windu puts his lightsaber away. yoda turns around and say's to Mace and the council, " Listen to him, we will " Yoda Feeling the conflict within him. Anakin then Turns around and proceeds to tell them about Sidious and who he is and what he will do. yoda sighs. Mace upset at what he hears and obi wan in complete shock." and that's when Ahsoka sends a transimission to anakin telling him that her and padme are under attack and that she needs help Telling him that she is unconscious. Anakin and the rest of the council hears this as she says, it's count dooku he's coming for us. Anakin jumps up and starts to rush out of the room with obi wan right behind him. Yoda tells anakin that they will take care of sidious, but they must treat this matter carefully. anakin rushing out the room and on to a ship with obi wan the two of them get to padme and ahsoka in a matter of Seconds, using the force speed skill applied to the ship. Anakin rushes to padme's side and Obi wan rushes to ahsoka's. Padme looking up at anakin with his two different colored eyes caressing his face and sees the tears flow from his one blue eye. Padme passes out and Anakin then lies her back down and says “it's 3 against 1 on dooku.”The battle begins and Dooku being faster and stronger in the force than either Obi wan and ahsoka knocks them to the floor rendering both of them relatively unconscious, leaving only anakin. Anakin Now using more Light and dark side power than he ever had before, Dooku releasing force lightning against anakin, as the lightning slowly starts to wind down anakin’s saber. Anakin remembers the time as darth vader when palpatine shot force lightning at him and it slowly crept down his saber, and the events that happened after, where Palpatine dropped him on mustafar, to burn again. Anakin starts to push his saber forward towards dooku with the force. Dooku grimaces and shakes his hand to try to make the lightning stronger, but anakin blocking it with the force and his light saber was now beginning to overwhelm dooku. Dooku steps back as he feels that he is no match for anakin at this point and pushes anakin back a little with the force, then runs to the window, where he picks up padme with the force and picks up obi wan. Both of them dangling outside the window. He tells anakin to choose, “So strong, but still so naive. I will give you a choice, the woman you love, or your Master, the one who raised you.” either padme the love of his life, or Obi wan his master, his brother, but also the one who left him to die. Anakin breathing heavily, turns off his lightsaber and lifts his hand up to obi wan. Count dooku smirks, and stars to drop his hands, and thats when anakin force pulls Obi wans light saber from his unconscious hand and chops off both of Count Dooku's arms. stopping the force that was holding them up.Dooku laughs at anakin mockingly, telling him he doesnt have the power to save them both. Anakin closes his eyes extends both of his arms, then at that moment, anakin remembers Luke and Leia, his two children that he never got to raise. That he never got to hold with his own hands. And padme whom he force choked to death.then with tears running down his cheek, he snaps them back open looking down at dooku and says, "You underestimate my power!" the left side of his body with the sith eye holding up Obi Wan and the light side with Anakin's Blue eye holding up padme. Finally anakin truly becoming one with the force, saves them both, and force pulls Dooku's light saber from the ground and with both light sabers in hand moves them around dooku’s neck and gets ready to strike holding both blue and red lightsabers in his hands as he did before. Both light sabers slightly clashing and humming around dooku’s neck. Thats when Ahsoka starts to wake up and and says "No! Don't! Do it! Master!" and that's when Padme grabs anakin and holds him and says, "Ani, it's okay... I'm okay." anakin not losing padme this time, His sith eye started to slowly fade back to it's normal blue color, he drops the light saber to the ground and hugs padme tight and tells her "I love you". Obi wan starts to wake up and sees an armless defeated dooku unconscious on the ground. Obi wan says to anakin sarcastically, "Anakin....revenge, is not the jedi way." smiling and chuckling. Anakin tells him "Well you see master..." anakin stammers like he usually does and they all start to laugh, and everything seems okay Until they Get a message on their comms from Mace windu and master yoda.

So pretty much what happened in Revenge of the Sith and few differences. He would have still become Vader. Or he would have tried to prevent it. At least for Padme and Obi Wan. Well to be fair Anakin didn't become Darth Vader because of Clone Wars he became Darth Vader because of the lack of respect the Jedi Council gave him they make him a member of the Jedi Council but then they don't even give him the title of Jedi Master even though he killed Count Dooku and he's a veteran of the Clone Wars he accomplished as much as Obi-Wan accomplished. This also doesn't include the fact that being mistreated by the Jedi Council and having that nightmare about Padme that's what pushed them over the edge to become Darth Vader he already had a Darkness because of what happened to his mother we all know that from Attack of the Clones so that had nothing to do with Clone Wars everything that happened to him in Revenge of the Sith that's what pushed him over the edge. Not to mention the new Clone Wars is just a reboot a remake of 2005 Star Wars Clone Wars which either way we'll have the same story nevertheless maybe a few extra stuff but both versions if you watch both versions there's no indication that anything cause him to become Darth Vader he always had that darkness and you can see that in the films.
