#60 Legends I stopped playing because of this!
since 1997
Because of Gran Turismo, Nordschleife feels like home, even though I've never been there ! It's amazing when you think about it.. thank you Gran Turismo!
It won't feel like Home, when you are here. Try Raceroom. But even that comes not close to what it is in real life. But in my opinion the Nos is not that tough as it promoted.
@@elbinkbcao i bet you don't know all tricks. There are 9km of new asphalt. Some corners are driven way different than before. For example you can overtake in Schwedenkreuz now. Before you had to stay on the right or the bumps would have taken you into the tire wall
@@elbinkbcao ah, cool. Raced means you've driven them at a trackday or raced them in a race? Maybe write a comment here, when you are here at the ring. I am competing in VLN :)
Most people call it the Green Hell, most GT players call it home lol
racing in the usa on american nascar tracks sucks compared to this.sports car racing is the true form auto racing
This was awesome! Thank you!
R.I.P Niki Lauda (1949 - 1976 - 2019)
he died two times? the fuck
@@Fanaz10 nearly yes
The man who survived twice to hell.
Would be awesome if Gt can do a tribute to Lauda like Senna
@@Fanaz10 yup, the first death (it was a false death) was when he crashed and the second death was his true death....
Beautiful documentary. There cant be enough films about the ring 👍🏻😍
When the lap record was still 5 hours and a sandwich.
I really liked the documentary! GT gets a thumbs up for this! :)
I really like that the video is in German!!!Thanks
Rasen statt fahren.
Yes 🤗
I don't understand a word in German but it made the video feel so pure and authentic😄
This freaking legend helped build the most iconic driving park in the world as well as survive WW2!
Remember guys.
One Ring To Rule Them All
and four rings to penetrate the ring
What are those dislikes? Non-carguys? Pure non-GT fans? Arcade racers?
Damn man. I really want to go there in real life. Then I'll have a test drive with my car.
Also the nostalgia is the most hardest race in GT4, 123 seconds behind the 300SL and you are in the SLR then you have 1 lap to chase that car and overtake it.
Forza players stuck with lego dlc
forza people, they moan at GT not having dynamic weather...GT was always been the leader
Bitte eine 1927er Version vom Ring 🙏 Das wäre so ultimativ geil!
yes yes yes!
...oh ja bitte
I completed my first real 24 hour race on this track on gt4 on ps2 it was crazy
Me too. I split it in 6 hours parts. It was crazy.
@@dersechser2601 i did a all nighter lol
Same bro. One of my favorite experience
oh me as well. i remember sleepless nights of training before the start. this is some quality memory from my early years.
2 seconds in and I just want to say thank you GT not only for this. But 20 years of giving us the feeling of being able to drive on such amazing and historic circuits ❤💙
I'm studying German Language at university.
I'm happy to be able to understand what they say
Sometimes, I use English and Deu...German at the same time.
BTW I'm Japanese, and I have a friend who's from Germany.
German is more difficult than English.
By practicing studying and speaking foreign-language , I can be more confident to communicate with everyone.
Of course I love cars, I want to go to Germany someday 🤗🤗
You are Welcome Bro
Greatest track on earth
Nope, spa
@@theopoint1911 spa can be 3rd. Cuz La sarthe is 2nd
@@theopoint1911 Spa isn't fun unless the cars are fast. Very boring with road cars, or something low power like formula ford or skip barber.
@@HugoStiglitz88
That's the thing, Nordschleife is even with slower cars a pleasure. Several weeks ago, I drove the 24 hour endurance race in Le Mans on Gran Turismo 5 in almost 27 hours with some breaks. 390 laps, 13 hours rain, but I have to admit, that I don't like the circuit de la Sarthe much.

Just remember the two Goliaths that cemented this legacy. Gran Turismo 2 and Gran Turismo 4
R.I.P SABINE YOU ARE MY HERO STILL ... the queen of the ring that left us far to early 😢😢
This was a brilliant documentary! You guys asked the right questions to all the right people and that deserves endless respect. I have been to the Nürburgring once in my life after constantly racing it on Gran Turismo as a 4 year old kid. Maybe soon i will drive it again but in real life ;) this documentary just shows how much fun Nürburg really is!
I absolutely agree - this is one of the BEST documentary I have ever seen of the Green Hell. GREAT JOB!
I was fortunate enough to have had a full lap of Ring Taxi ride with the Legendary Sabine Schmitz on the Ring in the summer of 2006. That was simply the most unforgettable experience of my life so far. Love it and many thanks to Mr. Yamauchi for leading this incredible team to keep making this amazing simulator series. Well done!
Why would someone dislike this video? This documentary was absolutely awesome!!! I guess they're too lazy to read subtitles 😕
Americans probably?
Bwahahahahah
Just fantastic intro to the greatest track experience. Thank you Gran Turismo!
Watching it again and again! I’m so in love with the whole spirit! Hyped for next year!
No words can describe the beauty of this short film. Thank you for this.
All this years watching UA-cam videos, and this is by far, one of the most interesting and enjoyable vids that I’ve ever discovered, the feelings, the history, the sport... everything was just so incredibly well made
Great work GT, you really made it again this time 👌🏼❤️
I agree, this is really a piece of ART...
I am a Forza fan, but I have to say, well done.
This track is what got me playing GT for hours and hours. Never resisted to drive anything around there. Even a Fiat 500 for the giggles around it.
yeah, I remember playing 8 hours straight just to get a decent time, through trial and error.
We need all cars from the 24h in the game and a realistic simulation of that race!
That's why I love Gran Turismo!! No game in the world can pass this passion for motorsport as Gran Turismo can...
André Luiz Oliveira their passion was clear from the start even in 1998
I was smiling throughout the entire video ,BRAVO Polyphony !
THIS is the spirit of Nordschleife! Thank you Kaz!
I can remember my father racing through die grüne hölle in the middle of the night while i was sleeping on the other side... man, that was a time.
Just came back home from the Nürburgring with my e36 318is, lost my exhaust in the mini karussell and it was destroyed zo i had to go bij all the garages around the ring to gather exhaust parts and eventually had to weld it. The mutual respect everyone has was amazing and everyone was extremely helpful. It just a "slower" car that drives there but they don't care, your a carguy and love driving and so do they. One of the best experiences i've ever had!
Oh man, sorry that happen to ya. I was there in august 2019 and had a rental renault clio rs, wasnt able to push the car since it was slow but safety was important for me b/c first time there. However, honestly it was the best time of my life and just being able to complete the entire nurburingring was a honor.
Definitely going back one day!
This track in my eyes , is the greatest , it's full of history , it's beautiful , driving on the Nürburgring give me a lot of pleasure in Gran Turismo .
It's maybe really weird , but ... , driving in this track is the only thing that's make me very happy .
When I'm sad or angry , playing Gran Turismo and driving in this track are the only things that make me happy .
In this exact moment you start to forget every little problems in your life . . .
And you will want only one thing ...
THE FIRST PLACE .
Ya'll forgetting Han Joachim Stuck. That man has been driving the ring since he was 9 as well as winning the 24hr of the Nurburgring with the legendary M3 GTR 3 times
Ohh that m3 gtr is a pure joy
I would love to know the music used in this. Totally brings the vibe up.
This is beautiful.
Should've had 1 mill views.
Forza: Lego DLC

Joe Lin what do you mean?
Lego DLC for Forza Horizon. You cant compare...
I hope very soon I’ll be able to drive on Nurburgring, until then I’ll practice on Gran Turismo Sport ❤️
I don't play GT, but this is great no matter what, RESPECT
You gotta simply love the remark made at the end, Simply a beautiful moment to recognise a life dedicated to motorsport
An encapsulement of pure passion, in a way I have never seen before.
What a phenomenal documentary.
Polyphony doesn’t make these documentary’s for themselves or their product, they make them out of passion and that really shows in the quality.
This was so pure and genuine. Thank you for making this
The title might mean nothing to most people, but for some, it’s everything
What a fantastic documentary, and what an event the Nurburgring 24 Hours is. Just one question remains - how fast would Stefan Terglane's mobile sim racing rig actually go round the Nordschleife? This looks like a job for Jimmy Broadbent...
Never dealt with Gran Turismo franchise (Team Green member) but the passion you have for the Nordschleife is special. Thanks a lot for supporting the sport.
This was a great documentary. I really wish the feeling of actual Motorsport and sportsmanship was portrayed as well in the actual games. In the games, there is no journey. No friends. Not even enemies. Just you passing some faceless soulless machines. They don’t fight back or nag at you over the radio when you’ve slighted them. There’s no team or team manager. You are the driver, pit crew, and crew chief all in one. I really hope GT7 in 2020 does a much better job of this.
Thanks Polyphony, I use GTS daily and want to thank you for all new content,. Keep up the good work
Insane - some of these people have seen it all, the entire history of The Ring. Such jewels those stories!
This why Gran Turismo is the the best motorsport franchise because the passion in everything they do
24h of le mans might be Classic but the 24h of Nürburgring is real racing with all the different cars ...
Nice documentary ! (Now, bring us Deep Forest and Grand Valey Speedway to GT Sport ! Please ! :D )
I second this! (laguna Seca would be nice too)
In Forza 4, i thought that racing on the Ring was impossible seeing how hard it was to overtake in such tight roads, fast forward 3 games later in Forza 7 and the track feels like an extension of myself, amazing documentary Polyphony
Been there once, wish I could live there, stunning place, mesmerising, fun
This is the best video I‘ve ever seen in my entire life
I did drive the ring with GT5 and GT6 (with a fanatec wheel) , now usually I'm driving the Ring with Forza M7, Assetto Corsa and PC2 and I know it's up for debate which one of the games/sims is best, but: great video!
Einfach Wahnsinn.

Was ein Video!!! 👍
Very good documentary 10/10 thank you gran turismo for putting so much time into developing the track , I set a lap time of 6min43secs in the 350z #75 LM race car on the RING and it was the most intense experience I've ever had playing a video game I turn on GT just to drive that track
24hrs of nurb and 24hrs of Lemans. Endurance races and the power of friendship.
Gracias GT!!! Saludos desde Rosario, Argentina!
Extremely nice video. I'd play different gamemulateors but nevertheless, GT was probably my first experience on the Green Hell. Planning on visiting it soon. Thanks for amazing documentary, being in German makes it even better.
Please never stop making these Videos!
and i realized this is how u made the game beautiful.
This was the best vid I’ve ever seen about the green hell, and it is from the UA-cam channel of a racing simulator
This is one of the most beautiful motorsport related videos i've have ever seen in ages. Thank you, GT.
Touching and inspiring documentary! Thanks for inspiring thousands of motorsports fans starting from sim racing to the real world
GT is the greatest racing/simulator video game ever made. Thank you for this, is really awesome 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
GT is awesome with a controller. Imo it feels terrible with a wheel. shifting with a H-pattern shifter is off and the FFB is horrible. Other sims do a better job there, especially on PC.
sodaaccount good pc games are either a one off for a niche market or mass produced garbage (like dirt even though the jumped to all platforms) GT as a series made everyone who played it fall in love with racing (if you’re into driving games that is) for a is STILL arcade asseto corsa was unstable and had a shit penalty system Iracing is a cash grab with forza like arcade physics and Gran Turismo 4 graphics name your PC Kings that are FIA certified.
Wow..great production..great music, you can’t beat N24
You survive N24
Thank you Kazunori Yamauchi

My favourite track... When GT first brought the track to the console world. I played it in arcade mode for a year before even playing the actual game... That's all I did... Laps on laps. Gone sub 5 mins in an F1 car around the green hell. Love it. Great documentary.
You cant believe how many redbulls i chugged down doing those endurance events on the Nordshliefe in Gran Turismo 4. Me and a few friends of mine swapped seats every 4 hours everytime we did a pitstop as to make it feel more real, the Logitech DFP we had at the time wheel nearly overheated from the long hours of driving we did that day. Good times

Thank you for this incredible short film. I have always had a deep passion for the Ring after my father and I went. Awesome
it's beautiful, thank you for this documentary, see you in 1 week for the race !🔥
As a german speaking guy I enjoyed this video, but I am surprised there aren't any subtitles for other languages.
I Hope Gran turismo brings Dynamic weather and Dynamic day and Night Change ❗️❗️❗️❗️
Peter Fritz well it is coming as one of the driving tests in GT Sport had sprinklers wetting the track as you drive along it.
Thomas John Solidum But the Community want it in the online Lobbys
Peter Fritz that's why i said its
Coming. Its still probably in development, i could recall a Twitter post Kaz posted last year that they are animating and developing clouds and day and night transitions. He didnt say when they are realeasing it but its obvious that they are going to release it as the feature was also in GT6. Be patient
