Oh boy here we go again...
It fits for me because I’ve already watched one of these from a different Zelda UA-camr
I think that the weapon corrosion in 25:11 is likely the new form of weapon breaking, something like "a curse" in Link's hand that makes the weapons slowly break, just a lot more graphic than BoTW
heck i'd be very down for the weapons erosion system having a much more visible way of gauging how much juice you got left in a weapon before it breaks. just having a flash as a vague warning that your weapon's about to eat shit really is not enough
damn dude, this trailer dropped less than 24 hours ago and yet here you are with a detailed 28 minute analysis of it. even if you aren't working solo, mad respect.
On Monster Maze's stream they were joking that Zeltik has aready wrote half a script by the time the Direct ended. He posts infrequently but when a Zelda trailer drops you bet Zeltik will be the first to make w video, fully scripted and edited. And he'll likely post a few more videos in the next few days. Nobody knows how he's able to do it but he does it every time.
With the apparent weapon crafting, I'm surprised he didn't mention how every single enemy's horn could be the blade of a weapon.
Also a possibility yes! I just thought that since the different colors of the same enemy Type seem to have distinct horns, that they went for an even greater pool of materials to craft from and to hunt for
The bokoblins with the single horns could be the end of a single handed blade and the blue boko with the two horns could be a part of a spear like the Lizal Spear
Maybe those round Moblin horns are used to craft the round homing arrowheads? 🤔-hmm
@@BoyProdigyX people have suspected that maybe Keese Eyes will be used to make the homing arrows, look at the back of the arrowhead and then the back of a Keese Eye also it would make sense the homing arrowtip would be an eye because it can see where its target is
What I noticed is that during the day, everything seems far more "normal" and peaceful which could mean that every night is when everything becomes apocalyptic perhaps because there will be a blood man every night and all night long but Im not sure. Also they show Epona as a regular part of the game which could mean we can get her in-game without the need of a Amiibo like in Botw
One thing to note about the gyro control section: There's an x- and y- axis when using the ability, and the object rotated almost perfectly along the axis. I'm thinking that we'll be able to use the control stick for gyro sections to make more accurate rotations, as well as snap to different angles.
That's my guess, too. People really did not like the forced motion controls in the gyro puzzles, so it would makes sense for them to drop it. I certainly hope they drop it. One of my least favorite parts of replaying Breath of the Wild is running into a gyro puzzle and having to get up off the couch to go undock my Switch, do that one thing in handheld mode, and then return to playing the game. It's just a frustrating waste of time, especially when the motion controls are so finicky that I'll frequently have to cancel and restart to recenter the gyro because if you move around too much or too quickly, it'll start to think that up is left or something.
@@Celestia282 how do you do the motion control puzzles in handheld mode if you’re moving the entire system around?
@@Celestia282 the motion control is in the remote, not the console. However, trying the puzzles with split joycons is about impossible.
My theory for the zonai tribe is that it is a third branch of the sheika clan. I mean, if you think about it, the sheika dedicate themselves to protecting the royal family, especially zelda, and their essence is usually blue. The yiga worships ganon, and their essence is a crimson red. I think that the zonai, with a green essence, is link's portion of the sheika clan, centered around his third of the triforce.
That's actually genius. The Shekiah do tend to be known for their wisdom, the yiga known for their abuse of power, and the Zonai too, known for courage. (The berserk outfit, or whatever it was called, for example.)
I think it's more symbolic. the 3 goddesses are colored red, green and blue, so having 3 power sources matching those colors makes sense, but there's also hints that the zonai were an ancient tribe that came to hyrule by boat and landed on the beach that houses that town where half the buildings are all boats, that have zonai swirls on them, and then the ruins are built nearby. I don't think they're connected to the sheikah as a split group who changed loyalties like the yiga, but they clearly know about the history of hyrule as there seems to be depictions of ganon's execution in twilight princess (and the mirror of twilight is also found on the beach of that same boat town) in the rubble of their ruins, and as you say, they seem to focus their attention on the courage side of the 3, with the SS pool shrine statue and dragon, as well as the armor and general "warrior race" thing. I also saw noted on twitter that the many curls on the strange large figure everyone thinks is Hylia matches the twilight throne, so the zonai could very well be the people who became the twili. the race the strange interlopers hailed from, and the reason they're gone now is bc they were banished to the twilight. twili magic also has a green tint to it, so it'd match there too.
also, did the yiga actually have red magic? all I remember is ninja stuff, mainly being puffs of smoke and such. I only remember malice being directly connected to the monsters and ganon's magic. the yiga choose to follow him, but they don't seem to actually be *powered* by him afair.
hmm maybe.. that makes sense, but.. they are just so incredibly different from the sheika. They use completely different technologies(it seems) and they seem to be just as ancient as the original sheika if not older. They may be correlated of course. Though I do not think they are the same, but them being green and centered on link seems like a good theory I would say
Heck of a job on this! I'm absolutely amazed at all the detail you've discovered! At 10:25 is that an elephant in the background between Link and the castle? Whatever it is, it looks as if it's taking a step. I'm so excited for this game, I love BotW and this looks like a true sequel to it. Thanks for this great breakdown of the trailer.
I think it's the same type of creature we saw them riding through the caves in the game's reveal trailer at E3 2019.
Only Zeltik can analyse, write the script, record, edit and upload a half hour video this quick. What a mad lad.

Including subtitles! Very important accessibility feature for those with hearing disabilities. Great job Zeltik!
@@nicholasderemi8493 Yeah Zeltik is amazing and one of the best zelda youtubers.
One of my favorite things about the trailers is the colors! Malice is now properly red instead of purple/magenta, there's really cool looking green energy, and of course the blue sheikah tech! I think they're really going to lean in on the triforce in this game!
Since it seems to be linking Zelda to the Sheikah tech with the new slate and her history in BotW so she could be represented by the blue, Ganon the red and Link with the green since that seems to be what all his powers are stemming from with his arm - which btw looks awesome.
@@nolanblanchard8098 Yeah, those were my thoughts!
Blue has always been Wisdom, and the Sheikah Tech embody it perfectly.
Red has always been Power, and Ganondorf is producing red malice this time.
Green has always been Courage, and for the first time, we are seeing an actual power to go with it!
Ganondorf always gained power and Zelda always has special goddess powers and in BOTW she has sheikah tech,
Link always had... more courage? But now he has special Zonai looking magic!
@@tomdaturtle5792 what i also thought, ganondorfs eyes are red, yes a little bit yellow but mostly red, so he definitely gets power
BUT
zeldas eyes are green, maybe she gets courage? what i think wouldn’t „really“ fit
links eyes are blue, wisdom?
These are just my thoughts, but maybe their eye colors also play an important role
Then again, Ganon was being sealed and not even Beast Ganon was the peak of his power.
The thought of a Boss Lynel is gonna keep me up at night for weeks…
I hope they put a moblin on it for shooting or spear work. Monsters working together is something I wanted to see.
We kinda saw it in botw, with moblins throwing bokoblins and monsters taking different routes to attack you from.
Hopefully they give us an ancient arrow equivalent to delete them until you get good enough lol
About Zelda's new Sheikah slate: don't know if anyone pointed it out already but the design around the eye (the 3 spikes) looks like Purah's glasses! It would make sense since in BOTW Purah created the anti-ageing rune, and to use it on herself like she did she would have needed another Sheikah slate, very likely one she made herself! We also know that she uses her glasses as kinda like her "trademark", like on the stone frog above the door to the Hateno lab... So yeah, I would guess Purah made Zelda's new slate 👀
@@piperlee4213 That's a good point! The simplest explanation I can think of is that nothing happened to it, the new one Purah made was just better than a literally 10,000 years old piece of hardware so Zelda just uses it instead 😂 but I guess there could be a more interesting explanation... can't wait to play the game and find out tho!
@@UltimateTobi links slate already made me think of a cross between a wii u and switch, which were the systems botw launched on
@@todd3143 Indeed. Link's slate was thicker, more in line with the Wii U's controller.
Zelda's slate is much thinner, more in line with a handheld Switch.
It definitely seems possible that the original shot we have of Link catching/pulling Zelda up with an undamaged right hand may be from earlier in the cave, due to them leaving their bull-like companion behind and having to climb around as they get deeper in the cave.
Maybe he was helping her climb up an incline or something earlier in the caves.
I like this idea. Make a point to show Link catching Zelda early on, so you think he'll be able to catch her again when Ganon attacks, but when he doesn't...
@@jameshigginsofficial I was having this same exact thought as I was watching the analysis.
Possibly. Could it be that both scenes happen? First he fails to save her, then he succeeds? I am definitely smelling some timeshift/timetravel here which would be absolutely epic!
I think we are seeing different possibly outcomes of the same scene. Like Link catches her in one instance, but not in another. Or at the beginning, the hand catches Link who catches Zelda, thus freeing Ganondorf and causes the havoc. Towards the end, perhaps, Link finds another way to save her, thus not needing the assistance of the hand, and Ganondorf never being freed. I love guessing and coming up with these theories. Will be fun to come back in a few months and see how these predictions age.
I think its rather interesting that in the German trailer, when Zelda says "Please lend him your power" it's not being translated with the meaning that "One schould lend Link his/her/its power" but instead with "They should lend Link their power". As the English sentence could mean both, the German translation explicitly uses the second translation, where "you" is used as the second person plural. So she is referring to more than just one person/being that should help Link.
Also in the German version Zelda is not just "unsure" if Link can beat him (Ganon) this time, she is rather convinced that Ganon is too powerfull so that "EVEN" Link can NOT beat him this time. Maybe that also means that Link needs (again, and as always) her (Zeldas/Hylias) help. Maybe she is referring to the power(s) lend to Link. Maybe it's just free translation.
I could imagine that the dragon like golem statues are "them" and throughout the game you will collect "their" powers after defeating a shrine/temple.
Ihr benutzt man aber auch wenn man mit einer respektwürdigen Person spricht, zum Beispiel einen König oder Richter. Vielleicht spricht sie also mit Hylia oder Midna ?
More English localization fails I suppose. The Japanese also specifies "EVEN you can't win" "Anata demo katenai". The Japanese however doesn't make it clear that she's talking to more than one at the end. I think she could be talking to the dragons, Dinraal, Farosh, and Naydra. Right after she says it you hear Zelda's lullaby in the same instrument their theme is played on in the previous game. With the sky playing a bigger part in this one, I think it's safe to assume the Dragons will as well.
Now this is interesting, because the spanish version (LATAM) she speaks to a singular person, not a plural. Moreover, she says "Swear to me, you'll lend him your power" So she comes not from a place of confidence or security
Zelda is not speaking to multiple entities, she uses a very polite form of address one would use for a king or a god.
Those flying enemies make me thing that there are bigger birds that will replace the guardians as the roaming bad guys. Just imagine the sound of that new theme and then you see a giant shadow slowly starting to grow around you...
instead of a scary theme you just distantly hear "I'M THE BIGGEST BIRD I'M THE BIGGEST BIRD" in Twili
but it probably won't be as nerve racking as those stupid skywatchers who can only easily be defeated with ancient arrows that i don't want to use
Theory, because you can see the normal rusted sword later on, I get the feeling that weapon durability is back in some regard, but now there's a visual element to it that shows how far along your weapon is to breaking.
tbh i think it’s gonna be abt the same, maybe weapons last longer, but with the variety of non weapon weapons like the canon or the flamethrowers to counteract it
Hopefully they're overall more durable, and can be repaired if the weapon is rare
My theory is the green energy from Links hand somehow merges with the weapons that look like this and powers them up/ makes them stronger. Same with the Master Sword.
That sucks. Idk what they were thinking .. at least add to where you can repair.
About the guardian arms and the Sheikah runes being translated to "transport"; I theorize that this is actually a means to get to the underground portion of the map. Because if you look at the floor beneath the Sheikah rune, it's made of random planks of wood almost as if it's covering a hole, and the guardian arms are emerging from that hole. The arms could possibly carry that Sheikah rune down into the caverns. Even the arm with the wire could be a tether or pulley system that allows you to travel back up.
That would be a pretty comedic scene too. Link is secured with a wire then just dumped down a chute.
I have a feeling that this is the real function of the towers. Maybe Purrah and Robbie's attempt to revitalize the Shiekah towers while also giving you access to vital locations underground. After all, if the old towers disappeared back underground, then they must have left massive tunnels carving straight down into the earth and through the various cave systems
When you wonder if the moldugas are running away from something, I then wondered if we'll see a revived Twinmold, having rested deep in the desert until Ganondorf's resurgence.
I'll add to that what if they're are running from molgeras moldorms and the like, and/or molduga predators that you can encounter.
i just imagine them taking territory in that world section and next time you run out of stamina climbing near there and fall down.. watch out for the moldugang or you will be Lion King'ed xD
that new redead or gibdo looking enemy is exactly what i've had in my mind for years, so hyped! More overworld bosses looking great, especially the dragon on the bridge! If it is Gleeok I will be so happy, I've been thinking it would be cool to bring back the original bosses as overworld enemies, now I hope to see Aquamentus return!
Was really hoping for redeads after the first look at Ganondorf. One of my few complaints about the first game was the lack of the unsettling areas we usually see in past Zeldas. No Shadow Temple equivalent. Closest we got were stalfos enemies at night.
I’d wager ReDead. Gibdos are usually depicted as bandaged mummies (keyword bandaged, as opposed to self-mummified monks and mummy Ganondorf).
Not sure if it’s a redead look at the bottom of its head, it has some sort of mandibles
I think this could rather be a bug enemy
However I would love to see some redeads as, they traumatized me when I was young
Now that you mentioned it
As a newb to Zelda, I only played BoTW and Skyward Sword but it would be interesting if…instead of the possibility of a molduga enemy appearing in that shot with the dust kicking up implying there might be a big enemy(or hoard or something) it was that scorpion-like boss in Skyward Sword, of course they’d have to reimagine it for ToTK but they are also enemies that burrow underground/in the dirt or sand so I could see it working
Could be a cool way to change things up, although we saw Hinox returning so who knows could be both or just one or the other
ganondorf back in the game after 17 years... thoughts 👀
If you respond to reply’s lol
I’m excited for it to be a souls boss fight. At least that’s the hope lol.
Everytime something new thats zelda related happens, I always find myself patiently waiting for your breakdown videos, you are handsdown the best zelda theorist, but monster maze is a close second. I know a really great Zelda analyzer who is named Rinkuto, his videos are just really awesome, the only issue for most people is that it's a French channel, but that doesn't remove his greatness in analysis
9:22 I think it's also important to note that the sky is that of a blood moon, yet it appears to be during gameplay. I wonder if this means blood moons will last all night, and you'll have to survive your way through them.
I like the idea of surviving through a blood moon. Maybe the enemies are actively hunting you down instead and if you stick to one place too long, the odds stack against you.
I think Zelda's line is from later and she's talking to the Dragons. Right after she says the line you hear Zelda's lullably in the same instrument/style as their theme from the previous game. With the sky being a bigger part of this game, I think it's safe to assume Dinraal, Farosh, and Naydra will also play a bigger role.
It looks like Shines are definitely a thing of the past in TotK. However, it looks like they're probably replaced with trips to the sky. All of those sky islands might be connected together, such that you have to travel back and forth between different islands and back again to continue progression. So we may not have old-style dungeons or BotW-style shrines, but a new evolution on the puzzle concept entirely. And similarly with trips underground via cave access points...
@@medo05511 I think you need to make some fresh observations of theories and analysis, sorry to say. There are plenty of reasons that Link would be heading underground, some of which you see directly in this analysis!
@@medo05511 The scene with the Malice Bokoblins mining ore doesn't look like anything we've seen on Hyrule's surface so I'm sure underground will be a part of TOTK considering the fact that the 2019 trailer took place mostly underground.
It'd be interesting if the shrines are still here but not functional. If this is a sequel to BotW, it'd be weird for them all to just vanish.
I've mentioned it in another video's comments, but especially convinced now.
I feel like the built vehicles can all be used for transport quests because they all have a fair bit of room! Maybe you can fetch/deliver supplies or even evacuate/rescue npcs. I hope That's the case!
@@Josiahhhhhhh i really hope that isnt the case, i can feel the stress just thinking about it
Zeltic! I actually spotted something minor that you seem to have missed. You can see it at 10:32 in this video. In the background in front of Hyrule Castle is a new animal that looks like the elephant companion traveling with link and Zelda in the first teaser for totk. Great content as always 👍
It does look like an elephant. I wonder if it's an animal that can be ridden like horses?
That's what I'm hoping for. But I don't know what purpose it serves if we can make vehicles. The more new creatures the better tho idk
@@meatmobile you're right its not. Looks like a very large water buffalo from botw. Maybe not an elephant but I don't think it's a rock
@Zeltik Concerning the scene @21:38 Zelda does not appear to be falling or getting caught by Link in this scene. Notice how Zelda's hand is actually moving upwards from the bottom of the frame into Link's while his hand remains stationary. It's just not possible for her to do that if she were falling downwards. This is much more likely to be an entirely different scene before the falling scene, one where Link is helping Zelda to climb up a ledge from above.
I think when the ground gives way in the first trailer, it's slightly earlier on. he is able to catch her from falling, but it's a close call. When ganon seems to be attacking link a second time, though, Link realizes too late that he isn't the target anymore. This delay is enough to cost him, and he isn't able to catch her in time like he did earlier.
I wonder if we're going to scrap with ganon early, though, and it's at most 2 phases. Given that the hole in his chest got bigger, it makes me think we opened the wound trying to deal damage but unknowingly made everything worse. In the first phase of dealing damage - or maybe right away - ganon disables the master sword via cutscene eventually. You continue with a now damaged master sword after, but it's very clear the sword's stats have taken a significant hit. If I were to guesstimate, it would start at the normal 60, and after malice hits it, it'll be 20 or possibly weaker. Combine that with Link's corrupted noodle arm, and he might as well be hitting him with a tree branch; The final hit breaks the sword.
It's literally during the malice attack. It's the same scene they just changed exactly what happened
Something that just popped in my mind. It was pointed out that in that mining bokoblin scene there was those “flames” that looked like souls and that also Hateno village looked “sparkly”. What if those are tears? /Tears/ of the Kingdom? What if those are the souls or “tears” of the citizens of hyrule similar to what happened in twilight Princess?
I think its something Robbie / Purah worked on. A sort of shield. As link was unconscious underground (we can see time has passed because the monsters have built structures) they have developed a way to protect the people from ganons forces.
@@FierceDeity35 Tbh I think that's 100% right cause even though there isn't much proof of that, it makes since from a gameplay perspective because I was wondering where all the NPCs would be.
@@chunkymonkey7983 I feel either 1) They've become souls like in TP or 2) They've fled somewhere safe, like under a shield or MAYBE underground.
First I saw them I wondered why are blupees hanging out near bokoblins lol
One thing I liked about BotW is the feeling it gave me similar to backpacking in the mountains, which is my favorite thing to do in the whole world. It is a combination of wonder, appreciation, contentment, yet also an urge to push further when you feel ready. It gives the mind time to breathe yet also rewards you for challenging yourself. I’m skeptical that such a feeling will be present in TotK because of how much is packed into the world, and I am OK with that. I’ve been a Zelda fan since OoT came out and just revisited MM the other day. The sheer density of Clock Town and the complexity of side quests in MM makes for a very engaging and memorable game. I have a feeling that TotK will evoke a similar feeling (although at a much more epic scale) and the type of enjoyment will be very different than BotW.
I think the handshaking scene with the mysterious character may be a "memory" of the arm and Link was experiencing that memory in that shot.
I like how Zeltic can turn a 90 sec trailer into a 28 minute analysis, keep up the great work.
@@isttret Lmao fr, bro made a 72 min video off a 75 second trailer. Watched the entire thing too
It looks like the enemy’s new horns are their old weapons fused to their bodies. It makes me think that red energy orb encompassing an indistinguishable silhouette could be a lynel fusing with a guardian. I think that would be awesome, but I’m also excited to see how lynels will fuse with their weapons.
Oh good lord a Lynel Guardian? Call that one enemy the Shiekah Slate will always be set to detect, because I don’t want to go anywhere near one of those!
i feel like they're trying to bring back the darkness of twilight princess and i am here for it. i am also soooo happy they're bringing back more bosses and older enemies. so so excited.
Honestly, the serpent head pieces/shape + the mysterious hand print piece + the symbols on the dress + the outro sound on the logo? All give me twilight vibes.
I wonder if the hand/that power has something to do with the twilight realm. Would be cool if it's related.
the bird vehicle sucks if you dont upgrade it. you have to, with items from various locations to unlock travel to more locations. saves mad time for speedruns. the thing needs the spectral green energy to initiate travel or be summoned and you can initiate attacks from it. i hate it though. why not have made it a giant octorock that inhales air to fly, and darts by using its tentacles, and obviously shoot the rock balls at enemies. would be more liked by me than it being a crappy bird. the final boss is just lackluster, and will go through multiple updates after release lol. its just a giant cyindrical room that you fight gannon in, but you can't attack him, but you can attack his minions to break his shield. its like 3 large moving platforms in a vertical with 4 smaller moving platforms near each larger one that have the minions. you have to kill minions to get green energy. the energy helps with creating wind gusts via an ability. hookshots for attaching to enemies and if you can kick an enemy off a platform, drop off after it, hookshot it, and kill it for energy gain at a space within the fight where the monster doesnt spawn normlly, then you can chain gain energy and do the fight quicker. you gain entry to it pretty easily. a couple jumps and youre in. yes, you can make vehicles, but its pretty jank. they're pretty much a glass cannons that most players will just put junk on the front for defense and ramming enemies. like 2 or 3 hits and the parts just fall off though. its just a game that the devs chose to add all the things players asked for (and those players maybe didnt have the knowledge if their wants would work or not for a good game) and then caught up the edges with a little detail and extra pruning towards gameplay. you can't judge a book by its cover, but you can visit my streamlabs page to donate to me as thanks. streamlabs dot com / tip / bornsvg
yess i agree! also the musical motif at the very end of the trailer really reminded me of twilight princess
I’ve been waiting for your analysis! Love the time, detail, and attention you always give!
The cubes are definitely the labyrinths. We see the first one right above the site of the north labyrinth, and multiple distant shots of it and this one in the trailer, just obscured by various amounts of cloud. The only one we don't see (if I remember correctly) is the Akkala one. And judging by what we've seen here, I think they're going to be like rubik's cube puzzles, or we'll need to phase through walls to access the other parts of them.
I really like how you use relaxing music from past Zelda games. I feel like most videos have the epic music from the trailer but I think relaxing music fits the atmosphere of an analysis video much better
Maybe the woman is the ghost of Queen Zelda? (Mother of BotW Zelda)
I think the woman is Hylia herself, the hand she's about to grab is Link, that's why when Zelda is falling she says lend him your power, Hylia lends Link her power thru Zelda, and the ancient green hand saves Link while Zelda falls, that's what I think but I could be wrong
I'd say either Hylia or Zelda. If Zelda ends up dying from that fall maybe you talk to her in a more ethereal form closer to Zelda as her spirit or something. There was that golden light in the Delay trailer might be Zelda's spirit following you.
she could just be zelda in a different outfit. kind of like how zelda in skyward sword changed into hylia's dress after she got separated from link.
@@Excalibur5k Yeah thats kiinda what I was thinking too, though I'm not sure Zelda's making it out of that cutscene alive. Seems to be a lot of foreshadowing of Link not succeeding here - at least not until we get to play as him.

The ghibli similarities just keep coming. The roaming malice covered beast reminds me of the cursed boar from the opening of mononoke, the caves with strange plants is reminiscent of the forest and caverns below in Nausicaa, and of course the ancient technology left floating in the sky from Laputa. My guess is that Hateno is glowing because it’s being protected from Ganon’s influence. Possibly the work of Purah?
Possibly...but it's just as likely that the "sparkles" are the souls of the dead. Maybe Link & Zelda are the only Hylians alive now. With no-one holding Ganondorf back now it's quite possible he slaughtered everyone before they could defend themselves.
@@SombreAria If that is the case. Then there would be no reason for Link and Zelda to fight. Except of course they're able to Bring everyone back.
I got that same feeling. First thing I thought of was a shield since in some games I've played they kinda sparkle like that from a distance instead of it being solid at all times. It glows like that to almost remind you it's there
@@SombreAriaI did see another trailer analysis that noticed an NPC in the background, though. So hopefully everyone is still alive, because I want more interactions with random people.
If the cave system is an underworld, in a way, I wonder if Link can access it because he, technically, “died” in BOTW. He should be dead, but due to the Shrine of Resurrection, he can access both the living world and the dead world. If he can, I really hope that the reincarnation cycle plays a big role in this game, and he may have to learn about the many heroes that came before him and he may have to combine all of their skills to end Ganon once and for all, hence his strange hand.

I AM SO READY FOR THIS GAME NOW! The trailer has me so excited for Tears of the Kingdom, it looks so beautiful, crazy, innovative, and I'm dying to play it
My favorite part was easily spotting what might be Gleeok on the Bridge of Hylia and obviously the new vehicles
The Mulduga in the desert aren’t fleeing. They are doing what Ganondorf commanded.. Sweeping over Hyrule.
With the transport circle I believe that's where we'll be assembling/modifying vehicles. The "Transport" translation, the guardian arms for doing the lifting and piecing together and the pillars on either side look like Hydraulic Lifts that you use to lift a vehicle for mechanic works. Additionally, the spool of wire that the arm is holding could be a modification, like a winch or something similar.
I strongly believe they are just those towers, because of the cover they have. They also look similar to the sheikah ones and the transport thing could just mean it's a quick travel point
Maybe the transport system along with his mechanical hand, Link will be able to upgrade and repair weapons too? Please please please please, lol
@@bk6555 honestly I hope not, the durability mechanic was always something I enjoyed
@@TotallyTodders That's fine, not knocking you for liking it. However, I just don't like the anxiety of such unreliable durability. I am hoping that whatever Link has for his power hands helps to balance that out if durability is the same in this game.
I don't know if anyone noticed it but when the logo for the game appeared I heard in the music something that sounds like Fi talking. I thought maybe Fi will be making a comeback when you get the master sword repaired enough, not fully repaired but enough to awaken Fi. As long as she doesn't yell at me for low batteries and gives us extra options such as making motion control puzzles be completed by using the sticks and buttons on the controller, I would love to see her back. Just think the first hero meets Fi and the last(?) Hero meeting Fi again....
Perfect
If you really listen to it, Fi's voice doesn't match. As much as I'm disappointed by that. Listen to the theme for City in the Sky though, and it's practically the same
@@dothedo3667 , Fi is formal, helpful and sensible. Most of the time she is deadpan, analytical and very wise. She expresses herself in a technological, robotic and emotionless way. She refers to Link as "master" as she is designed to guide him. Because of this, she also cares about his well-being and does everything possible to protect him. Later, Fi experiences true emotions and learns more about the human spirit. Despite having a hard time fully understanding it, she greatly appreciates all that she has learned and the new feelings she has had on her adventure with Link. In the end of the story, she claims that she feels happiness, she is even seen coping with falling into an eternal sleep without any problem.
In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Fi sends a signal to Zelda through the sword to protect the life of Link, who was about to die in battle. It is mentioned that despite not being able to communicate properly with the hero, she maintains a strong connection with him.
Fi is honestly a very good companion, she also has growth and development and you see her development and also feel your relationship growing, and something very important here and that also gives her points is that she's definitely very useful and gives you good facts and information, and at least when that's not the case and there's not something really important going on she still gives curious but interesting information and curiosities nonetheless, you end up getting very fond of her and really cosidering her a companion and a friend on your adventure on Skyward Sword, not like Navi who was many times insufferable and very annoying to many and many wanted to just kill her (there are many memes and jokes about that, although I personally didn't really hate her) and also didn't have any development and growth nor anything that made you feel anything for her in that sense, and who also wasn't very useful
@@gurogoth it could be a new Master Sword entity! Or due to the corruption Fi sounds different
To me it seems like the Lizalfos horn was replaced by a sword of some kind, similar to a katana.
Also the boss bokoblin that had an army of blue ones seemed more black than blue to me.
I wouldn't be surprised if that entire underground area is full of just fungi, they mostly live underground as it is, and with the trope of massive trees in Zelda I'd love to see some massive fungal mycorrhizal connections to the roots shown too.
I think the room with the guardian arms is in one of the towers, since the surrounding walls look similar to what the outside looks like. Also, the orange glow may be from inactivated towers, since in botw non activated sheikah tech is orange.
If we look closely at the moment when the ground collapses beneath Zelda in the reveal trailer, we can catch a glimpse of the Master Sword already damaged with Malice in Link's right hand (although we do not see his arm). My guess is the shot of Link grabbing Zelda with his unharmed hand happens earlier when they're traveling down the cave system, helping her get onto a ledge or something similar.
I'm thinking the different horns on the blins are for accessibility since they seem to be related to the color. In the base game there were likely issues for people with color blindness, since monster strengths are related to color. Here we see red bokoblins with serrated blade like horns, and blue ones with a two pronged fork horn, which would help differentiate them for people who have color blindness
They also drop their horns, which are now weapons pretty much. Gonna craft me an entirely enclosed vehicle to mow down redeads.
Everytime I see or hear a mention of Ganondorf having that hole in his chest spewing malice it makes me think of the Grievous wound he had in Twilight Princess created by the sages sword but held open by the Triforce.
With his refusal to Die and the way that he became some sort of Specter of malice when he was in the Twilight Realm. it feels like he's been collecting powers and abilities as things are thrown his way and becoming more powerful with his piece of the Triforce
I LOVE how the cubes golem are just giving shadow of the colossus vibes. I'm pretty sure the trailer's clip was made with the fight against gaius and its big sword in mind.
I hope we get a story trailer next! I'm guessing that's when they'll show ganon(dorf) in any form other than a mummy, and possibly the owner of the hand....if they plan to at all (before release)
it's interesting how the walls and the glowing glyphs on the ground look like Yuuga's paintings from Link Between Worlds. just more callbacks to previous games, and I'm so here for it.
I theorise that the female figure holding hands with Link is the entity inside the hand. It would be cool to have a talking travel companion again in TOTK. Probably is princess Zelda from the first calamity that has used herself as a seal for Ganondorf and now she comes to help us.
You are such a blessing to the Zelda community.
I just want to appreciate how solid and professional this script is, even with the short turn-around time.
Way better quality than I think we normally expect from Zelda lore videos - closer to something like one of Alt Shift X's videos.
I'm glad for these analysis videos because with my colour blindness, it's hard to tell the malice from the background. When people point these things out it's very useful because I'd have no chance of telling unless I was actually there in game
11:17 I just realized something about Thyphlo Ruins. Age of Calamity has been teasing this change! When playing as Vah Medoh in the Divine Beast section of Freeing Korok Forest, we can actually see the ruins without the black fog.
I think the "lend him your power" line is most likely going to be said by Zelda praying for the goddess(es) to aid Link.
Also if you look at it, Zelda's new Shiekah Slate has a design on it that looks like Purah's glasses, so I guess we know who built it.
Purah did mention in BotW that she had a Sheikah slate. It's how she developed the rune that made her de-age to a 6-year-old body. So honestly that fits.
I'm guessing Purah also built the platform with the arms, and that'll be used as some sort of crafting and/or upgrade system.
@@Celestia282 I can see that happening! Honestly hope she and Robbie appear in Tears as well!
If you take a look at the front wheels of the «car», there are symbols similar to the ones on the box golem and the golem from a few trailers back. I think you’l be able to build those golems just like the vehicles.
I already watched your livestream of this analysis, but I found that the fully flushed out analysis was just as informative. I’m glad you gave us this. Can’t wait to hear more of your thoughts on what all happened.
I’m excited for the voice work of Matthew Mercer (I think!) potentially being the voice of Ganondorf, if that’s who is speaking.
Pretty excited for this game, lots of neat stuff being added. Im especially glad to see that ganondorf is back, I wonder how the gerudo will react to him
Definitely not well considering how much they are ashamed he was once a Gerudo, and how much respect they have for Nabooru.
Well yeah but I was also thinking like if they would raise an army against him or try to use the divine beast to attack him
he’ll try to stroll into gerudo town and be knocked down by the guards because he’s a dude
First time since OoT we will have both Ganondorf and Gerudo in one game. I'm also very curious of their reaction.
So we saw very little of Hyrule residents, I wonder if they are all dead, hence the spirit flames and empty landscape. Hatteno glowing might be because everyone is a spirit, like in Twilight Princess.
The horns are a nice touch. As I imagine they were put there so that when you see enemies from far away or obscured by darkness, you can still identify enemy types and plan accordingly.
I don't think that's why, they all look like heads of weapons. It's especially obvious with the boss bokoblin with the big axe on it's head, that's not just a horn. They will likely drop the weapon pieces and then you can craft with them.
I do like that theory. Whether it’s intentional or not, it will certainly help me and my bad eyes lol
Stellar analysis man! 🔥
The green spirals kind of remind me of Farore’s Wind. My guess is that the relics with green spirals will replace shrines and are points of teleportation across the map.
Zeltik, I knew you would provide us with an amazing breakdown observation of the trailer, and you delivered as always my friend. Amazing!!! 😱❤️
thank you so much for your dedication to the community i watched you break this trailer down frame by frame for like an hour and i don’t regret a second
rip silksong
Thank you so much for the dedication! Less then 24hrs since the new trailer and you have already delivered this incredible analysis.
So much respect for you! Keep up the great work!
Who else here is looking to see what he got right?
as an extra tie-in to Skyward Sword, the necklaces that these Boss Bokoblins wear have skull medallions that look absolutely identical to the Ornamental Skull material from Skyward Sword!
SHOOOT! Way to go with making a 28 minute video in one night. You're insane Ed!
HI BREAD!!!!! i miss watching your videos, used to be way more into zelda than i am now, i hope to get back into it. love you dude!
@@joelcomer Thanks Joel! :D
And don't worry. The Zelda community will always be here for when you come back. No rush.
The analysis is so good. Every single time you pull out an old reference I'd forgotten about. - it just makes me smile. Great video, man.
Few things to note:
You can see Link collecting different parts to his machine.
Fan blades on death mountain
Wheels on the great plateau
Glue on the hinox
In addition, the mining areas have ancient sheikha tech, that has the swirling look with is constant with the 5 pillars and the divine beasts.
The box golem is covered in Gerudo symbols. Atleast that's what they look like to me.
the thing on the hinox's neck being glue is definitely a good possibility. i hadn't thought of that one yet.
@lindontaylor1525 if you look at where the wheels are on the "car" and where the balloon connects to the platform you'll see green gum like substance.
It appears similar to what we see on the hinox.
In addition, it seems like the Zonais magic "ability" is to create machines.
The sheika adopted the zonais labyrinth and other architectural achievements, perhaps they tried to copy the Zonais tech too, much like they tried to copy the powers of the gods.
tracking opposed to dowsing, strong, durable blades made with potent holy energy. Sound familiar?
They tried to copy the master sword and failed.
@@FierceDeity35 I see the glue on vehicles I never thought of the stuff on the neck as the glue
So many Zelda videos, so little time. Everyone that I'm subscribed to has dropped anywhere from 3-5 videos in the last 22 hours that I'll probably be spending my day off this weekend catching up on them. Great work as always Zeltik, can't wait for your theories involving this two minute trailer
Maybe the various stages of decay on the master sword are hints that weapons break down to the hilt or something, and can be recrafted using the weapon like horns of the enemies that drop after you kill them.
I saw another idea that Links hand corrupts and you have to upgrade the brace to reduce the affect.
This will slowly make other weapons more viable with a weapon durability mechanic.
In the beginning a sword will last for like 5 minuets
the middle it will last for 10
the end will be 15
I get the feeling Zelda is going to be around a lot more in the game than people thought initially I don't think she actually falls the down the pit it I get the feeling she's going to serve a similar role to impa in the first game as the character were going to go visit a lot to give us Direction
This is always the first place I come when I want to see an in depth break down like this. Your lore videos are some of the best on UA-cam and I can’t wait to hear your insights as we get to discover the newest addition.
Once I saw the trailer I was already looking for to Zeltik’s analysis video. This did not disappoint.
The cut scenes with Ganon’s voice are going to be fire
@@Leelum200 I think any voice on Ganon sounds bad, Ganon shouldn't be speaking English, neither should Link it kinda breaks Zelda imo, i don't like it, it's jarring and i'm not gonna get over it, i hope there's an option to toggle that s*** off at least.
I watched your livestream analysis of the trailer, as well as other peoples' videos, and yet you STILL managed to spot even more little details in this video. Zeltik is a mad lad, thank you for feeding my zelda obsession!
The effort of putting all the details in this video is amazing. Looking forward to play zelda
16:36 The symbol is a stylized power button. A circle with a line through it.
24:15 It's just Naydra with lighting that has washed out her colors.
And now begins all the Analysis and theory videos because of yesterday can’t wait for this game, your videos are great to watch keep it up
Nice to come back here and see what we got right and such, like it's silly that we thought the guide Zonai construct was a large enemy type 😅
If you pause at the trailer around 1:53, you can see what I believe to be a korok flower on the top of the mysterious cubic rock, just like one of the many korok puzzles found in botw.
Seems like the golden poo will make a return in totk too
I can’t believe you have already come out with a video on the new trailer! Amazing analysis!
One thing I did notice when I rewatched the
trailer was that the falling rock from death mountain somewhat resembles the rock carving of Daruk. Not sure if I’m right or if it means anything at all, but I am super exited for tears of the kingdom!
Man. Thank you for all the time and effort put into this. Not just analyzing the trailer itself but talking about it holistically in terms of how gameplay elements hint at the lore as well and for also researching additional sources!
I love your videos because you actually take your time and put passion and love into them
You’ve done sooo well with this video. Really appreciate the time and effort you’ve put into this. thoroughly enjoying it! Thank you so much!!
i'd love to see a retrospective vid after playing through the game where you look back at your theories!
This is and probably will be the best analysis for this trailer. Great work! Loved it.
I just can’t help but wonder…
Under what circumstances will the Triforce appear in this game?
It has not yet been shown…
Thx for the analysis Zeltik, cant wait for the game... And more of your theories!
The fact that the ideas TOTK was built around were originally planned for additional BOTW expansion packs makes me think that the Master Cycle Zero may have been a testing ground for the vehicle concept, both from a technical perspective and a “how would the fans feel about this” one.
I hear a bunch of people saying maybe they saw all the videos of Link using Magnesis and 2 minecarts to make a flying machine and the like. Yours sounds way more like a Nintendo Corporation move, so its way more likely haha
@@BoyProdigyX perhaps it was both, they saw people doing "vehicles" and contraptions using magnesis, they felt inspired and wanted to give it a shot, and then dropped the Master Cycle to familiarize us to the concept
@@marioalbertomoreno3819 I ship that.
I didn’t really like the bike as it makes horses meaningless, for the most part.
@@Thesamurai1999 5 speed horses are actually faster than the master cycle, also there are so many hoops you have to jump through in order to get it: beat all 4 divine beasts, one hit obliterator trial, the divine beast thingys, the thing beneath the shrine of resurrection, and the boss fight (monk maz koshia)
while i sort of agree that it devalues horses, you've basically already beat the game at that point, so it's just a fun novelty item as well as being pretty useful if you havent gotten all the koroks or shrines yet
(also you cant activate moonjump and wrong warps without horses lol)
