This was recorded and mixed by the same guy that worked on Feel the Darkness and We Must Burn. No Pro Tools, recorded to analog multitrack. Sounds like this version had some janky mastering done to it, though.

@@377 my older sister put this song on a tape that I listened to CONSTANTLY from like age 10-12. That’s when I misheard the lyrics and never bothered to look em up until like 24 years later. This song shaped my taste in music and still holds up!
