so many single pigment , so many handprint 40 holy grail and a decent brush . there is value here for both beginner and more seasoned pigments lover .😍. you do a brillant job here with all your reviews . thank you .
Yes, i really think the color selection and pigments of this set are good for its price, plus it came with a good quill brush. Thank you for appreciating my effort. 🙏
Hi Alan,Thanks for the review. I get a little bit of a water color high from just watching your reviews. I don't need any more water colors. Let me repeat that...I don't need any more water colors. I'm an optician and yes, those clothes are the same as the ones you use for eye glasses. Wash it first by hand in a little dish soap. Don't use fabric softener.
Hahaha! No.. please dont buy paints if you have enough. Let me suffer the addiction of collecting these for you. 🤣I'm glad you find my reviews soothing though. 😇 Thank you for confirming these clothes are for the glasses and for the washing tip too. 🙏
Hi Alan. Great review as always. The PB15:3 colour is actually Phthalo Blue Green Shade which is Cyan, one of the primary colours. That is the reason why is so bright and IT IS supposed to be so bright. These paints look great and what I like the most is that they come with a very nice quill brush. You rarely find paint sets with decent brushes nowadays. Where are the birds btw?
Yeah, it's Cyan, how can I forget. But compared to the other PB15:3 from Paul Rubens and other Western brands, this one's really bright. Others are deeper or maybe just more heavily pigmented? There were fewer birds this time as the typhoon might have disturbed them. Hope they'll be back in few days. 😊
@@AllanJayQuesada Typhoon? Wow. I hope you are ok now. Cyan is supposed to be light bright blue. Check it online to see how it is supposed to look like. So the darker versions of Cyan in their mass tone, due to the heavy pigmentation, don't load the brush with the exact Cyan hue unless you dilute it. But how much should you dilute? I mean that this depends on how well you can visually remember how Cyan is supposed to look like particularly if you want to paint with primary triad colours. Yellow, Cyan and Magenta. So IMHO it is better to have it ready made in your pan instead of guessing each and every time how much you have to dilute it. From this point of view this manifacturer has included the "correct" type of cyan in this palette. Cyan blue not heavily pigmented raw base colour of Cyan blue to unleash the hell in your palette box!
Thank God, we're safe. But a lot of people here were badly hit. Our prayers are with them. 🙏 Actually, if we are to really take a look at Cyan and its color coordinates, it is not really exactly phthalo blue. It's more of between light Teal and turquoise. By definition, and by color index, cyan is a color between Green and Blue. Based on sRGBB (r, g, b) it's (0, 183, 235). On CMYK, it actually looks somewhere between PB15:3 and PB16 thats but closer to PB16. The cyan in printer inks look more like PB15:3 because of it's heavy concentration and i think PB15:3-like color will yield more color mixes in inks than a light teal-like ink if it exists. Haha. But in my personal (DS) palette, I choose PB16 as my Cyan. The DS PB15:3 is too potent for me and the "weak" PB16 of DS works better for me. 😂
@@AllanJayQuesada I didn't know that a typhoon hit Philippines. These damn Greek media didn't even mention it. 🙄I hope the best for everybody. I use too either PB15:3 and/or PB16. PB16 is a "click" greener than PB15:3 but the difference is so slight that is not detectable on their mixes as both these are mixing colours. A nice and quite greenish PB15:3 is the Rembrandt one. It stands somewhere in between PB15:3 and PB16 and I match it with Phthalo Blue RS from W&N or Rembrandt depending the availability. Generally speaking Phthalos are great mixing colours and if you match them with the Quinacridones and a couple of yellows you can setup a very versatile and rather minimal palette because they can mix almost everything.
Yes it is very obvious. But I assure it was human handling. It was the way i swatched them. I think I was too careful that time. But they're almost very similar with its same-level brands. 😇
@@Xolo0001 hahaha. Sorry, that's not really my intention. 😄 i only review and probably help those who are yet to get their paints. If you own already a good one, then you're good.. unless you collect paints too or unless you want to rewards yourself. 😉

I like that the paints are mostly transparent, even the cadmiums and the chrome oxide green.
The set is a well-rounded one 🙂
