Depends if your age now is 16 years old above, and live outside the Philippines most of your age, it’s hard to reconnect, the best way to reconnect is do it at a very young age, parents should teach their kids Filipino practices , thinking , and language. If both of you at 20 years old above and don’t even enough knowledge of Filipino ethnicity itself. I’m so sorry It’s too late 😢, most of 17’s of age failed to connect for being Filipino through Language, thinking and Practices. It’s a lesson learned.

To say Asian blood is just wrong. Modern Filipinos are predominantly mongoloid. Indians and Arabs are Asians too but they look nothing like us. Well I have Indian Filipino blood from my mother's side while I got my Italian Arab Filipino blood from my fathers side. We used to perform this during our annual Intramurals last year 2008. i was a second year high school (Grade 8 according to K12 program). We were able to take the 1st runner up and defeated the seniors. haha. very lovely memory

January 2024 I learned I have a Filipina family (my 14 year old half-sister from my dad, and my step mom.) I had not heard from my Egyptian dad in 15 years, when my own daughter was born. Then dad passed away in August. I’m so glad I found my Filipina family and I want to learn as much as I can about the culture and language. I’m planning a trip in 3 years to the Philippines with my daughter to meet them. I know our family dynamics sounds weird, but family is family and I love my family and forgive my dad. 🩷

The dance originated in my island...PANAY island...most likely the center of Spanish era in Panay. Iloilo City, where the past is always present.
