Our Indian journalist friend is very well informed, knowledgeable, Articulate about Pakistani politics n politicians . He has sound n strong sense n knowledge. Excellent journalism n brilliant analysis. 🙏 thanks ❤
no he is an american journalist . had he been indian journalist ,he would have been biased in order to save his ass in india
He is of Indian origin and should not be concerned about Pakistan. He is equally hated by the Pakistanis as a kafir.
He alone has united the country and made us proud to call ourselves Pakistani. If we have a strong leader who is respected by his own people there is a good chance that he will be in a stronger position to negotiate on behalf of Pakistan externally keeping the interests of his people and country in mind.
Brilliant n balanced views. Pakistan has out grown army. They r a dasaster for county now. They have strangled all progress n development.
Wonderful interview allowing him to explain his piece in Wall Street Journal. I wish he had explained everything he told you clearly in his piece for those who don’t understand Pakistani Politics. Imran khan is not against USA he just expects fair treatment with respect from all friends of Pakistan. He will never accept slavery or bribery.
S Dhume is awesome guest. Please get him again soon. Amazing guy lov from Pakistan
Wow
Wonderful interaction.
The guest was having very intimate knowledge of our history and prevailing environment.
Well done WSK
Totally agree with "No Good Options for Pakistan After this elections". Not sure why they are counting so much on SCIF. These type of project will not give economic boost to Pakistan. PDM1 + Establishment 2023 = PDM.2 + Establishment 2024 how the result could be different?
The very definition of insanity. Do the same thing and hope for a different results.
He has inspired men women and children across the board.
Good interview. Sadanand said many true things that should be taken with a grain of salt for pakistanis. Specially the economical facts he spoke of. Pakistan has fallen behind by 100x behind india .
Very good analysis but towards the end you discounted the first time in history someone has actually belled the cat, the first time military has been defeated in elections. With this much popular support and momentum, and the revitalized identity of being a Pakistani under imran khan one can have a glimmer of hope. Not all is dark, there are some silver linings we can hold on to.
Excellent conversation! Thank you to both! 👏👏👏👏
Great discussion.
Wajahat & Sadanand bravo & thanks to both of you for presenting a superb debate. It was indeed a treat to listen. You guys offered thorough, candid & precise critical analysis. Lovely
The average Pakistani now knows much more than you are willing to give them credit for . Thanks to Social media and PTI and Imran Khan. That is why so many Pakistani's came out to vote in urban and rural areas.
Much better show today
Amazing analysis and wonderful perspective from a outsider
Thank you for sharing
I wish the Army learn the value judgment and leave the politics
Then how are you going to perform ghazwa e hind (115 crore population) ? You need enormous army and the resources, time and energy to do that. Ik has already got the strategic depth aka Taliban of Afghanistan as the first step.
Big thank you, guys, wonderful session, great analysis.
He introduced the Ehsaas programme , created shelters for the poor. And hey we are proud to be Muslims and to be Pakistanis. He represents the people of Pakistan.
Just to mention here, PDM being unpopular would have mattered in a democracy. In Pakistan, the only blessing needed to run the government is that of its Army Chief. So even if PDM comes and is unpopular, it will remain in power as long as Army wants.
People don’t matter, public support doesn’t matter.
God bless you always ❤️ 🙏🏻 WSK
THANX for awairing
Amazing man this gentleman is. Listening to him and his opinions is great learning and even if one may disagree with him on few points that I do, but his thoughts and positioning has a lot to learn from. Thank you Mr. Sadanand Dhume 🙏
If an institution is credible & functional, it cannot go rogue and cannot twist, bend or defy law!
Or else, its personal fiefdom!
This guy truly a gentleman and a neutral observer.
The army has mismanaged Pakistan for 70 plus years. See how many times we have had to go to the IMF . They are running businesses but they have absolutely no business to run a country. In fact they have dismantled all institutions and crippled Pakistan. So the question really is which is the best option for Pakistan going forward ? Certainly not the army. They have had a dismal track record.
What a beautiful peace of presentation. Thoroughly enjoyed. You both were right to the point.
It was refreshing to hear an honest and thought provoking analysis by Mr Sadanand Dhume. Cheers
Dhume is spot on! Recently PTI protest had another slogan by at least one of its leaders! Fatah Mecca!
Very articulate.
A very frank and fair discussion .
very constructive criticism! Thank you both!
Good morning, my first and favorite Vlog of the day.. God bless you 😊
Good to see Sadanand
Wow. An in-depth, fair and realistic analysis by SD. I wish we would have such expressions from our hypocrite analysts who portrait themselves as philosophers and try to lead us in "certain" directions. And thanks for having him on your show👏👏👍👍. Please keep the good work on, you are going to be an inspiration for our younger generation.
Dhume keeps bashing Imran without realizing that he had done an epic thing by Winn winning elections while being in jail and not even available to talk to his people or have a party with a symbol in elections
Good discussion 🙏
Thank you for bringing him on & putting him on the spot. In a nutshell the gentleman is an embodiment of an indian liberal Islamophobe. Take out the riyasat e Madina narrative, Islamic solidarity & imran khan is a gem to him & his class.
I know he’s gonna hate this comment but it’s true. I’ve got enough friends like this but it was the basis for our partition, a partition we’re glad for after seeing modi , bjp & rss. Lastly for his economy comment, for goodness sakes we had carona & our performance despite that was spectacular. The fact that he overlooked that despite being from the wsj is extremely indicative of a deep rooted bias.
Gentle men times have changed … today Pakistan is in the worst condition ever …
It was a very though provoking discussion
Thank you
EXCELLENT ANALYSIS AND COURAGEOUS STATEMENT BASED ON THE FACTS IN PAKISTAN
Well conducted talk .
WSJ salutations. There is no comparison between Bhutto and Khan. If any he is the modern Jinnah. Bhutto was an evil genius. He is the innocent genius. What is done as a PM is also no way even comparable to Bhutto. Khan gave a sehat card. Khan made economy grow 6 percent every year. And it is absolutely idiotic to compare India with Pakistan. The way Khan dealt with Covid. Everything up against him he produce a ballot which stunned everyone
Good discussion!
Very interesting discussion
Very interesting take by the journalist. We need to talk about the pain points and be true to ourselves. Keep the debate going 👍
Excellent view point by Sadhana👍
Brilliant analysis
Sadananad has given a well thought analysis - especially on economics and fresh policies
Excellent analysis.
Wonderful discussion
Sir, how can you ignore IK’s magnificent performance during COVID which got worldwide appreciation.
His Ehsaas prog for the poor got international recognition.
His health card is a blessing for all classes.
His housing scheme won him love & votes from the working class.
It’s unfortunate you do not consider his humane work for ordinary Pakistan’s.
❤❤❤❤
The guy has in depth knowledge of pakistani politics
Quite interesting view that enhances perspective
Excellent.
Good analysis Dhube ,Agreed the establishment/PMLN frustrations, helplessness, bitterness has created chaos in Pakistan, may Allah give success to The great leader IMRAN KHAN ❤ Wajahat S KHAN so very much grateful to you for your excellent vlog, and the independent journalism keep it going
Very good analysis by the guest . 👏👏
Internet is deadly slow, become Pakistan railways
Very good assessment of Pakistan’s crisis.
Excellent guy with excellent views and the Excellent Man who hosted him. Sadanand bhai lost his hair for the reason that he invested all in his intellectual sense. He gave me around a dozen new words to add in my vocabulary. Thank you guys.
76 YEARS NO CORRECTIONS
Excellent presentation. Your guest was pretty good
Sadanand Dhume he is a mentor and he is a visionary. He has the vision thing.
An elaborate and purposeful analysis. It is need of the hour. There is uncertainty. Let us see how the situation improves.
Brilliant show
I agree with Dhume about Atif Mian , Imran shouldn’t have let him go.
Anti establishment and real democracy, determination
Imran’s strength ❤❤❤
Pakistan is witnessing a unique, unprecedented and crazy situation
Good effort sir
Spot on commentary 💯. We need a think tank of economists like Atif Mian to manage economic policy.
Inshaallah, everyone will acknowledge the Imran Khan's leadership ❤.
❤❤
Pakistan is under pressure 😢😢😢😢😢
❤❤❤❤❤
Top content waj,,💯🏆
Wajahat it’s so early here 🤟🏽
Very good analysis
Good discourse. Sadanand’s views on Imran’s personality are of course spot on, but his views on IK’s political ability are a bit shortsighted. Firstly it is unfair to judge IK on just 3 years of governance, he was new, he was made to form a govt with crutches so that he couldn’t deliver and be himself, as we are seeing now, he is showing his true self while he is in jail. He must have been shocked seeing the web of corruption that has been systematically built over the last 76 years, 3 years ain’t enough to understand the depth of 76 yrs n fix it. A simple example to put this corruption into perspective is to look the Sharif’s Panama case, layer after layer. What one needs to understand is that something very interesting is brewing in Pakistan, something revolutionary. Personally I feel IK’s greatest asset is that he is Dangerously Honest.
A few problems with Dhume's analysis.
1) IK did try to broaden the tax base, decrease corruption, subsidise health care, empower youth, helped climate but could not do more as hands tied by army and interests groups.
2) He trusted the army like all of us Pakistanis did for 75 years till he realized what they really were after working closely with them
3) One of IK' s greatest contributions is lifting the veil over the army'generals that they have turned Pakistan into Banana Republic using politicians as front men, how no one dare criticize them.
4) Not fair to write IK off after his initial stint as PM. Just like the physicians learn during internship and then the bright and dedicated ones go on to be great physicians, IK may have the same potential, time will tell. It's just that the other politicians in Pakistan failed umpteen times.
5) He compared Modi. Just like Modi is loved by Indians because he gave the Indians a voice and identity but Muslims hate him because Modi achieved by also fanning hatred which as per reports had thousands of Muslims killed. IK gave an identity to Muslims but has not fanned any hatred, never spoke bad about Hindus, Christians or Jews, actually married one and has sons with her and still has a great relationship with her. Modi's Hindutva propagation us okay but "Riyasat e Medina" is not, that is hypocrisy.
IK has touched the raw nerve of the nation by suggesting that bow down only to Allah , be respectful but don't bow down to the superpower of the world or to the self appointed superpower inside the country
❤❤❤
For how long twitter will be kept unavailable
Good comparison Arnold and Imran, well said
Excellent analysis/ comments by Sadanand Dhume
The great
Very good comparison that bhuto was a great oratot but lmran is great polutical communicator, mass comminication
Thank you
Excellent super
Establish the rule of law and the country would flourish, simple is that no need for a complex debate n thats what Imran Khan understands well.
Good Discussion s
Original Bhutto! 😂 best phase of the vlog!
Good morning ! It a great idea to have an English Vlog. Have a wonderful day !
Hope, hope, hope..but basic characteristics of individuals rarely change!
Temporarily, under pressure/duress, characteristics may be subdued!
No sound after the first few minutes
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Very nice combo
It is not an institution, it is a political party.
S. Dhume admits to the charisma of IK, his inspirational appeal - (to many - his status now is that of a Mentor) to the masses, to the youth,as well as to the educated class.
Dhume needs to understand and do a deeper study of what IK means by the Principles of governance of Riyasat e Madina.
On thé question of economy Mr S. Dhume should research on the initiatives that were taken by IK during his 3 years to revive a debt ridden economy which was left on the verge of default by the infamous Sharifs.
His adversaries claimed he does not know politics - IK has outsmarted them all.
Beautiful debate between u both...
Mr. Dhume must understand that Army is an institution and not the state of Pakistan. The people are the state and it is the people who should decide who will rule the nation. No doubt army as an institution is important but when few generals walk out of their mandate and start deciding for the whole nation, someone needs to take a stand. If the army as an institution gets damaged which is very unlikely, the same generals are to be blamed for that damage. Look at Turkey, how the people confronted the army when they tried overthrowing an elected government, did that damage the turkish army?
Imran Khan needs a team to implement his vision, his opponents won't even let him form government let alone choose a team.
Good morning sir, Allah bless you always.ameen
Good morning
Weldon zabardast ❤❤
One can agree or disagree with dhume, but one thing we've to admire is his stance on Khan's popularity. Unlike our liberals who are still denying his mandate..
