Sounds of 110 years ago. And the British Crown is still there and overcomes adversity, ephemeral ideologies and cultural fashions. God Save the King (and the Queen) !
What will continue to exist is the melody, long after the "British crown" is nothing more than political archeology and a fringe of names buried in the dust. The song was conceived to honor an "ephemeral" health circumstance of a king (who was not an English one, by the way) and has survived almost all the "crowns" that once made it their anthem. The only truly great thing is that which is capable of ensuring its own recurrence, above the people, fashions or institutions with which it is associated.
Well, the British crown “overcomes” these modern qualities by adapting. Similar to how the crown had to adapt to a constitution centuries ago, and then how the crown had to adapt to social change like women’s rights, colored rights, etc. Adaptation is the only reason why the crown exists today. If you look at past monarchies like the widely known French monarchy, their downfall was caused by the refusal to adapt. But again, the crown knows when change is needed (usually).
Imagine anyone telling Dame Clara her voice could still be heard 112 years later!
And it will be heard for 112 years more.
Fantastic quality for 107 years old!
