Good morning brother hello from Fort Myers Florida, 👋 But always on the road 😆 you know it’s interesting I rolled up on a 2015 D12 Volvo and according to the driver truck lost there when he was driving it so I inspected it and the person in the air dryer was just in an open loop but was just letting air out big time and I happen to have A brand new dryer which I finish installing but then the truck still would not build Air, so we thought it was a good idea to look into the air governor and we ended up replacing that, and that didn’t work either so I took off the airline to comfort of the compressor that fits into the dryer and that had air going to it but now that I remember maybe not enough , so after all that I try giving it somewhere and it will take care very very slow with the idea to try to get them off the road, so my only conclusion that was left was that the air compressor was gone, or any addition to that I I Took the plug out of the first air tank inserts of possible oil in water in case I would’ve been the problem but it only had just a little bit in my opinion 19th to obstruct the lines or anything so we ended up towing it to the shop, and this particular opinion I believe and he has to be looked into more obviously that the air compressor was just gone after all this truck has 1,000,700 miles, but anyway if you have Any thoughts or opinion on this federal appreciate it and thank you for sharing with us I greatly appreciate it Robert.
Hello my name is Dave and at work we got a 19 78 GMC brigadier grain truck. And it has a Detroit engine in it what the air compressor on the back side of the engine underneath the dog house inside the cab and it's got like not building up any air pressure. And there is a line coming into that you mentioned in that video that it sucks air through the intake and the airline going out of the air compressor is shooting out some black stuff like oil I wonder if that compressor is dirty in the inside of the head is there any way I can maybe spray some carburetor cleaner in there or what do you suggest? There is some kind of a spring on the one side in the front of the compressor that looks like a valve or something it's got a screw you take the cover off it's got a screw in it that I don't know if that's the load valve or what that is if you know anything about this truck can you help me I appreciate it I'm trying to get it the air working so we could use it thank you and God bless
Could be the air governor or the air dryer purge valve or the air line that is used as a signal line between the governor and air dryer, the purge valve purges water from the dryer every time the system reaches max build pressure
I have 2006 freightliner air is build one day than other day won’t build air and no leak, also I find one air tank is not going to air any advice brother thanks for your update
I am steel not getting air pressure I changed the compressor I changed the governor I am checking the valve that goes to the air filter wat ese could it be
I have a 2015 freightliner isx Cummins no air going to the tanks , I took the line off the air compressor, plenty pressure, new line , new governor, new air dryer still nothing
I've got a 2010 Cummins ISC and it's a nightmare! Won't build air when I can get it started and most of the time it won't start because it keeps losing prime somehow.
i have a cat c13 on a freightliner columbia with a blue air compressor dont know where its from i got it like that. the problem i have is i only build air up to 50 to 60 psi and thats reving the heck out of the motor and it drops back down slowly when i let off. i only have a small leak at the air manifold behind the dash. i cant find leaks anywhere. i see it has a new governor but i might try tapping the compressor head to see if it frees up a bit if not i think ill take it apart and check the valves. any recommendation? thanks!
If it's building to 50-60psi before stopping under idle, building more with throttle, then decreasing when you step off, I'd check the charging air lines & even the air tanks for cracks/loose connections. Typically, it'll build fine UNTIL the pressure is sufficient to escape a small crack or loose fitting. Also, if the leak is small enough, the throttle will allow pressure to build but it won't hold once you step off. The bad news is that you'll likely need a buddy to run the throttle while you get under there and listen for leaks and spray lines/fittings with soapy water. We're talking about a very small crack here...one you can't hear from the cab.
I just out on. A new reman air compressor at the discharge line im not have air come out the pressure is not strong my tanks are taking forever to build up and bit building properly
Does it have enough pressure to blow your finger off the discharge side if not check the inlet make sure it’s not restricted or plugged in anyway and check the governor isn’t sending pressure to the unloader valve
Nice man, this happened this week for me air not built.

Good morning friend my 07 century won’t build up at new unloaded new air dyer?
Putting antifreeze in the glad hand WILL NOT do go into the air system for the truck, ONLY the trailer.
Yes, I did it when the trailer brakes were locked
Run it at 15rpms for a while and it will dry any liquid or unfreeze the line. That worked for me.

What does it mean when your air system purges and sounds like a rattle snake or ar? Loses 10-20 lbs in matter of seconds.
Could be the air governor or the air dryer purge valve or the air line that is used as a signal line between the governor and air dryer, the purge valve purges water from the dryer every time the system reaches max build pressure

Thanks!
Is there anything else you can suggest if you are not able to check the line that runs from the compressor to the dryer?
I am steel not getting air pressure I changed the compressor I changed the governor I am checking the valve that goes to the air filter wat ese could it be
How do I check that
I have a 2015 freightliner isx Cummins no air going to the tanks , I took the line off the air compressor, plenty pressure, new line , new governor, new air dryer still nothing
Thank you so much for the info
Have a great day as well

I have a primary air leak, but I just can't watch these vertical videos. I figure if a guy can't figure out how to hold a camera . . .
My Volvo VNL 2011 loses about 5psi only while cruising, any thoughts on that?
Load valve. Some call it unloader valve

I have the truck bought a rebuilt compressor and still only building to 60psi
Question I have a school bus that doesn’t build the air up and I removed the hose from the air compressor what do you think it may cause that

Hi my truck take long to build air what can be the pbm
Good common sense video ty
