I just got this flute and I was kinda wowed by how easy it was to get the high register out cause I had recently tried a Azumi and it was really hard for me to get the high register and parts of the low register
I used to play an older model Eastman years ago and I can definitely vouch for how lightly you have to articulate double tonguing. I remember almost feeling like I was doing a "suh kuh" instead of "tuh kuh". Tonguing fast was pretty effortless once I got it down.
As a doubler, I can only wish someone did such perceptive, comprehensive reviews of other wind instruments on youtube. Your descriptions of how your airstream feels are amazingly helpful as well. Please review some alto flutes!
I Just bought a Flute today. It was one you actually reviewed earlier! I think your video’s are a big help. I still wanted to try a few flutes, because the flute chooses the flutist, but still. Some of the information is very helpfull!! So thank you so much for doing these video’s!! :)
Hi! Today I did a Instrument Rehearsal and got a 9 on flute so I will be doing flute for my band class. Your videos are really helpful, so I hope I can better at the flute. Thanks! -Anonymous
I had never heard or seen anything about this flute until seeing your video and I really love the sound. I have been looking for a backup flute and am interested in this one.
I love your reviews, they are always so enlightening. I do have a question though: When you describe the ball or column of air in your mouth (where it is and its shape), it is different for the different flutes that you review. Why is that exactly? Is it because of a different cut of the head joint, or different metal composition of the flute (silver, gold, plated, etc) or both or ?????? I've always wondered. Marie
Hey Joanna!!! Incredible video...I love how your review videos are so detailed and informative XD. By the way, have you ever looked into the Yamaha 400 series (sterling silver) intermediate model flutes? I think Yamaha recently 'renewed' their flutes. Just wondering how they've changed and sound like now.
brody black right now I’m not marching this semester but I’ll be marching for the next fall I owe a Gemeinhardt half metal & composite but it cracks a lot :( & it’s hard to play my 2nd octave notes
David Beltran i play on a yamaha and it projects really well for marching band. i play 16th note runs all the way up to super B flat and it’s responds well
Might not apply to others but my old Eastman 420 was pretty low quality. There was alot of misalignment, unpolished parts, and sluggish keys. It also had real bad tuning too :c Again these are my experiences so it might be different. I talked to another student and they found similar problems. Also the flute in this review is different than mine (this ones newer).

*giggles*
Idk why but I wanna see her do a review on cheap flutes like 100 dollar ones just to see her diagram and reaction

I’ve never heard of this brand! It has a big resonant sound for an intermediate flute 😃❤️🎶
We would love to see Joanna with a flute performance in concert on the Flute Channel . Thank you for these great UA-cam videos .

the deodorant in the background completes your layout tbh
Bahahaha
Will you review alto flute or bass flute? I would love to know more about these flutes ^^
Pls do a bass flute review or a contrabass flute review because the flute center of New York has good bass flutes and contrabass flutes
Can do a review on a piccolo that could be used for marching band? So basically just any that aren't made of wood and are semi-cheap (like 500-1000)
Or do a wood flute review
I just moved schools and i dont think i can be in band😩

I love these reviews!!
I was unable to find this flute on the Flute Center's website, or any Eastman flute for that matter.

Can you please do Piccolo Reviews like for college marching band I’m really on the search for one
David Beltran pearl grenaditte (wood plastic mix) piccolos are awesome, they do scratch easily but mine survived marching band with no issue

I took one for the free trial. I took it out and as soon as I started playing, I could hear all of the sticky keys. Multiple keys were sticky.
OMG I have that flute, except without spilt e
Blizarrd That’s sucks, I cannot play it without a split E hardly at all and it’s usually a note that speaks very well for me
Do a review on a wooden flute!
Yes I have been asking for a long time
But they are hard to get because they crack easily
just because i am one of the first people who have watched this video i feel like the chosen one
wow.
BOXIE!!
