    Both interior and exterior doors are made from a variety of materials, the most common being wood that sometimes is in combination with glass. All-wood doors are made from either affordable softwoods or, at the higher-end, more durable and elegant hardwoods. The look of wood doors has always been a favorite-although doors can have a variety of appearances, most are designed to look as though they’re made from wood even if they’re not. But this is how you cut one with a cnc machining center.

    What edge hole cutter did you use? I have a CNC AES Vega Ultra with 3X and I would like to know what kind of drill bit is used for drilling in door corners and window frames.

    So I wonder, what's the operational cost of this CNC Machine per hour (operator salary, electricity, bits, wear and tear, initial cnc cost, maintenance etc) VS the quantity of products it can make?
    This demo shows a simple door that can be made with a stationary router and 3 cutters/bits.
    What's the market for this cnc and why a door as an example project? You'd better shown something, that can't be made with simple tools...

    • @robmckay875
      @robmckay875 3 роки тому +2

      They just pumped out an eight piece door in minutes. I'm just assuming you don't do this for a living. That shit is very difficult with "simple tools". Try doing that clean of a climb cut by hand, with a router. Then you need to dado and rabbit the stiles/rails. I'm assuming they also use haunch and tenons for joinery. Fuck that's extremely challenging to do with a table saw. I love building this shit by hand. But no company will pay my wage for that. CNC/3D printers are the future. If you want to be in trades, learn g-code.

      You can charge a flat rate of $150 - $180 an hour for CNC work... so I’m pretty sure you can cover the bits, labor, power, loan etc. I recently cut out all the panels for a $113,000 job in 5 days. We had it wrapped up in a month including install with a a 3 man shop.

    • @robmckay875
      @robmckay875 3 роки тому +1

      For sure, customers get charged 100 an hour for me to program, and then run the shit. Then I think 50 for assembly/sanding/finishing. I don't get paid even close to that, but it's not my company. But chill work, for good pay. More stressful than sanding. But not so boring.
