Retrying the case is a waste of time. The same information and the same bias from those who did the investigation will be presented. The only difference this time is that prosecutors who looked the other way, now have to agree that Trooper Proctor was flawed and deficient in providing a fair and honest investigation. This to me falls in the category of reasonable doubt. When you doubt the system that represents justice, then justice itself, and not the defendant, is on trial. Reasonable doubt is much easier to get than beyond reasonable doubt with the lack of hard evidence they presented. I think another trial will end the same way and then she can't be tried again.
