I was one of the fortunate ones who was under his tutelage in BHU.His corrections, encouragement and nuanced teaching is still remembered after 45 years. He always asked us young girls to feel or try to and also taught dance as a heartfelt experience and not a performance art.I still enjoy dancing to myself whenever I am in the mood ,pranams sir,.
It is rather surprising that the life of such an immaculate personality went unnoticed all these years.... A person who devoted himself to dance , especially Bharat Natya, Shri Chandrasekhar is definitely a Guru to all those who love art...Congratulations to Madam Madhavi, the producer Mr Vinu Vasudevan the Director and the entire team members for making this documentary a wonderful piece.......
My humble salutations to Chandru mama and Jaya Mami. I remember in the late 90's when I approached Chandru mama to choreograph for my solo performance in Singapore and to conduct nattuvangam for the same concert. He gave me his valuable time in making it one of the most memorable concerts in my life. I am fortunate to have learned and trained by him.
My humble Namaskaram to Dear Chandru ANNa & Jaya Manni. I am very happy to see the documentry about their life & carrier as dedicated dancers & teachers. I am very fortunate to have had the great opportunity to perform along with Smmt.Jaishree Raveendran at the Benaras Hundu University campus because of their suggestion & that too ANNa singing & doing Nattuvangam & Sri.Rama Rao Sir , Adyar Lakshman Sir's elder brother singing , a Mrudangist & Violinist from the University who were organised by ANNa . It was a very great & memorable experience. I always cherish that in my memory. I being an Alumni of Kalakshetra i was able to get their help to do the performane as ANNa knew the items that we performed. Both are very humble & very good Acharyas. All my admiration for them.
Wonderful documentary of a great personality Padma Bhushan Prof. CV Chandrasekhar. Both of them have a beautiful heart. Thank you for this beautiful piece!
