- Since the Horde Command Crawler wasn't picked for the 2023 Eternias Choice fan vote, I figured I get one somehow. Here's my review on the this Filmation Horde Command Crawler designed by Angelicomen (link below)! This huge vehicle is definitely a sight to see! If there's something your missing from your masters of the universe origins collection, his page is worth checking out. This isn't my first 3d printed custom vehicle from him and it certainly isn't my last.
In this video I'll go over the history of the Horde Command Crawler in the She-Ra Filmation cartoon, the unboxing and assembly, then review the Tank and do some comparisons with other vehicles and playsets in the line. ENJOY!

This is probably my favorite MotU vehicle of all time. The design is just perfect. A perfect aesthetic from Filmation to real life, it's just.. perfect.

Holy Mackerel! The Size is impressive! Filmation Horde Command Crawler bigger than Castle Grayskull!
It's size us definitely impressive but I recently just got the eternos palace playset and it makes the horde tank look small lol. I will have the review video posted next week with comparison pics. I posted a picture of it in my community post

That is so damn big, wow! That to have taken at least 4 or 5 full rolls of filament, even at 15-20% infill.... 🤯 You guys all did a great job on it, design, printing, and assembly. EPIC

now thats cool..and to scale as far as im concerned. That is how large these toys needed to be. Grayskull was way undersized. I know we only have so much room in our homes,but still..Making things closer to actual size is the way i like it.

Probably the greatest MOTU vehicle I have ever seen. Its annoying how Mattel can release 6ft tall Velociraptor toys for Jurrasic World a movie that sucks, and not pieces of art like this! Hordak's wife Kar-En going to use it for the school run.

It's still bullshit by Mattel that we could have all these amazing vehicles, and they are trying to con us to believe that the "fans " chose this damn Snake Lair. Something that we've never seen the inside of. Something that they've already put on other packaging art a couple of times now. THIS tank or that Filmation ATTACK TRAK would have been ULTIMATE! I think they were just too lazy to make what the fans really wanted, and okeydoked us with what THEY wanted to make.
Tbh, I think tour right! That's why I went n had it done, lol. Mattel should have just made all the choices, even if it takes a couple more years.

How long was the print job
I was waiting for my friend to finish this since Nov. Now for the process start to finish I can't say for sure cause he had to get a couple of different people to print this out. For a better answer on that , you'd have to ask Yerco who created this .
What 3d printer would he recomend for this?
is fractioned to be printed on the cheapest printer on the market 20x20x20cm with Ender 3 V2, you have.

Start by printing small parts, then when you start to see the times and calibration of the machine, you print things and. little bigger, until you reach something as big as this. and the most important thing, patience and taking it as a hobby, the worst thing is to rush the times.

One thing first : I find all Filmations-vehicles and "rides" butt-ugly.
But that man presents some impressive craftmanship ! Top-notch-precision, great details. He did add some extras but they are decent and therfore okay.
But he really did bad with some of the proportions. You can see it in the cartoon at the beginning : the carcase is far to wide, the tracks are way to narrow and the cannon looks totally different.
If you look at it from the side it looks very accurate ; besides from the extra-details.
But bummer. Such great work but then with wrong shapes.
An ultra-hardcore-fan-nerd would be very upset about that now, could not sleep for weeks and would fall into deep depressions ... but I don´t mind ... I hate that thing anyway ... 😉
Long story short :
I find everything on it is great work but the proportions are done bad. Not accruate enough for me.
when you go from a drawing to a 3d model, you realize that things should work but in reality do not work, a big problem was the front door that turns into a staircase. this directly did not make the right game. so with several other things. so one thing is a drawing and another is how to make each element fit coherently and plausibly without breaking the original drawing. Let me explain my point of view :
I know what you mean. In order to finish my education for being a carpenter I had to deal with these issues too. Difference was, that I usually had to make my own designs. First is the idea, then the design, then you need to figure out, if you can implement every design-aspect into the real object. Sometimes you find out that certain features are not possible, other times you need to change someting elswhere to make another thing possible, and again other times you realize that you don´t have the means available to make things happen and so on. Sometimes I even had to make some tests in order to get the technical drawings properly done. Evetually you feel like smoke coming out of your ears ...
But I still am an asshole 😉 and beleive, that you planned these two parts accidently to wide and to narrow. Cause I know that things like that happen very fast and sometimes you realize that when everything is too late. But on the other hand; my experience with 3D-printing is ZERO and you´re the pro ...
I guess they drilled me good in that carpenter-education cause there were no room for mistakes. One rule is that when you deviate more than half a centimeter from your construction-drawings you fail the test. No matter, if it is the most clean and beautiful work you did - you just fail. "AAAWWW, we are so sorry, all that fantastic work ... NEXT CANDIDATE PLEASE !"
Germans are extremely nitpicking when it comes to things like that. But besides ; If the cupboard one has designed does not fit into the customers kitchen-space then all the good work is woth a shit. Time/money lost, a pissed german customer and a furious german boss.
But in our actual case it is just important, that Mr. HomeArcade likes your product and that seems to be the case.

I am 1000% satisfied with this! I'm just glad it can sit up straight n not fall over. If I tried to make the top come off , it wouldn't have worked and would fall forward. I absolutely love it for what it is ❤️. I do appreciate your views tho on it. It was very interesting to read. Thanks brotha 👊
This is what o don’t like about a lot of 3D toy makers. The Horde tank is waaaaaay too large for a toy. All the official playsets and vehicles are much smaller than they were in the cartoon. Then you get these 3D modeled toys by certain modelers and they don’t fit in at all. No friggin way the horde tank is bigger than castle Grayskull…
They did I decent job at modeling, but they think it through.
If you're going by the cartoon, the tank is bigger than the castle. In a future video, I'll compare the tank to this huge 8 ft playset I have so u can see that it scales out
