I used to build cities like this a long time ago. I've got ya beat on the amount of stuff (what I have in my basement would bring many track collectors to their knees). Sadly, I don't have time to build a gigantic city, so down there they sit. Good job on the build!

I dont know if these were hotwheels or matchbox, or what theyre called. But i now have a son of my own and want to find them

I am 24 so when i was playing with similar playsets it was early 90s i had recieved for Christmas one year a set (or multiple sets) of just track pieces. these track pieces look like the lighter gray pieces in the above video, but had yellow dash lines that were stickers running down the middle. no pieces had 1/2 inch wall pieces in the middle like some in the video, and all pieces were two lanes. they had similar edges to clip
