As soon as they said El Coyote, I knew it was going to win. That place is always SUPER solid. It's been around forever for a reason. My grandpa lived around the corner from there, so I went a lot as a kid.
As a Hispanic, the best food will always be the street vendors. They put so much of their hard work and time into food. They’ll always be the most authentic.
I’m with link, some taco places in the US use thicker tortillas and do NOT need to use 2 tortillas. In Mexico most taqueros use a softer thin tortilla so the double tortilla is not overwhelming.
@@Auric-BraiNerdwell no, but they're authentic Mexican American. Which, realistically, 99% of Mexican restaurants in the US are. Comes with the territory.
Clearly seems like the mírate restaurant it’s actually more on the side of the traditional Mexican food while the coyote it’s the Mexican food that you usually find in most of the Mexican restaurants here in USA…food adapted to the taste of the “American people “.
As a Mexican, I'll never eat "fancy" Mexican food. Plus, many dishes in the US are Americanized and are more Tex-Mex than Mexican. Also when you go down to Mexico, resorts will serve you the Americanized versions as well. You have to have the real food served outside the resorts. 😂
I have tried a lot of restaurant Mexican food. It's always bad. Even a decent fancy taco isn't half as good as a tortilla with a scoop of suadero inside. Making tacos fancy downgrades them.
El Coyote is American style Mexican food. Mirate has more traditionally prepared Mexican dishes from the interior of Mexico. Mirate has more indigenous dishes. Organic and fresh.
If they could I’d love them to do one of these restaurant taste tests in the actual restaurant so they can also rate the experience of eating in the restaurant as well. That would be a lot of fun 🧡
So, do you think the restaurants actually willingly give them a menu? Or do you think they send Emily and say "We will pay for your meal if you steal us a menu"?
funnily enough, in Mexico it is somewhat more common to be offered a basket of tostadas that you have to break yourself than a basket of chips at a restaurant.
@@YourCommonSinner I'd say its 50/50 and greatly depends on the type of restaurant you are at. At a seafood joint, for example, you'll get tostadas most of the times; a taco place would offer chips more often.
So let me get this straight..the new one should have won because they both agreed they had better tasting guac and salsa..but just did not wanna break their chips..🤦🏻♀️
Breaking the big chip is like a fun experience thing , you can break it to a good chip to sauce ratio and it literally isn't even hard it's probably easier then ripping paper
Idc what anyone says STEVIE PLEASE NEVER STOP CREATING THESE RANDOM NICKNAMES FOR THE INTROS🤣🤣🤣 they’re literally the best and I love Rhett and Link’s reactions 😂😂😂
“I don’t like the fact that I have to make my own chips” is such a Link thing for Rhett to say

Idk it felt negative to me. Most mexicans (in my experience with cook outs as a mexican) eat tostadas at home not tortilla chips 😭

Please do bring her in this. I would love to see that character here

“Papa don’t preach” went over Rhett’s head 😂
Nah he purposely ignored that backlash
I came here to say the same thing lol
