i feel like they've always been the ones for eachother. because no matter what damon was there for elena when she had no one. she loved him for who he was, even though he did horrible stuff. elena had always loved damon, even though she didnt act like it she still did. stefan was there but not always. damon did anything for elena. while stefan not so much. elena and damon were more alive. more problems because everyone was telling them their relationship was toxic, but they just couldnt understand the things love does to you. elena chose stefan because she knew he wasnt a 'monster' what she didnt realize is everything damon did WAS for her. i feel like damon and elena just have a connection. and nina and ian i feel like it was totally right people wrong time #delena4life
