RoyaltyAirness yes it's paint for leather so you don't need to take that extra step
what kind of adhesion promoter did you use and how many layers of acrylic finisher did you put on
Anthony Griffin this one I used sem sand free adhesion promoter and about 3-4 layers of finisher.
Did he mention the paint mix ratio in the video? Im still stuggling to make this color to this day.

nice job. does the paint on your customs ever crack where the shoe creases when you wear them? I've had that problem with mine and not sure how to prevent it.
my1978z I haven't experienced that but I have moved to doing only new shoes because of this.

So soon as you spray the promoter on the shoe you can start airbrushing it? Or do I have to wait for it to dry then airbrush it?

Dennis Velliquette wouldn’t recommend win like 82 bc if the paint chips you’ll see the red underneath.

Outstanding video.....I just did some 11's and used the gloss finish, but it didn't gloss up. I believe I sanded too much off before using the sand adhesive. You're the man. Please keep the videos coming!!!!!

These came out sooooooo bomb!!! I have a question.....I have a pair of the navy and white Win Like 82s and at some point I dropped some 90% isopropyl alcohol on the toe area and it kinda messed up the patent leather finish in this area. Is this fixable? 😫😣

What kind of tape is the red tape (brand)?
I switched tape brands bc the red one would leave sticky residue after peeling. Now I use soul tape by alpha 6. Here’s the link:

Nate Tate you can but the brush strokes you need to lighten up on the stroking to avoid the paint strokes.

how do i contact you for a custom job?
I've got a question open for anyone. I used GAC 900 on my Jordan 13's on the jumpman on the tongue. They have the suede tongue. I mixed the paint and the GAC 900, 1:1 ratio, the jumpman was absorbing all of my paint. I ended up putting something like 8 coats of paint. I used my heat gun to set the paint but in the end it just didnt feel or look right. It felt spongy and tacky. Is this normal? What did I do wrong? Is 2 soft the same thing as GAC 900?
i'm interested in knowing what the difference is in outcomes between using a paint brush vs. air brush
airbrush is better for this.

RoyaltyAirness you could try it but I don't mess with used kicks. Too much hassle if it doesn't stick.
You should invest in some tack cloths. Super cheap and a MUST have for anyone painting, not just customizing sneakers! The tack cloths will pick up any particles from the sanding. I also use them in between each coat of paint... they will pick up any dry spray from the airbrush that you don’t even notice is there

You know instead of using sandpaper you can use acetone it makes it easier and quicker

When you are painting the upper and patent leather won't overspray get on the mesh lace holders and make them hard??
J_Smith-26 overspray is so light it barely affects it.

you can but have to be good with a brush and may need to sand brush strokes off

i definitely do, creasing and cracking seem to minimize
