@@MsTwilightgirl94 I feel like people don't understand that this whole thing is a bit. If they really didn't like this guy, or vice versa, he wouldn't keep getting these interviews with them. They've literally hung out outside of these interviews, he just goes along with the bit of "we wanna mess around he wants the interview"
they cast hate the interviewer, there interviewer hates the cast. it's a game they play every year.

Surprisingly enough he’s a stand up comedian. He’s funny too! It’s also very Tina. That might be why they insisted on his voice boy or girl.

I love how the cast calls the interviewer out so many times! Good on Kristen and Eugene for standing up for bi pride and I love Eugene's "well first of all, he's 11 and a child". It's so nice to see that acceptance of everyone for who they are and not trying to force them into a box

I think it correlates with the untimely, and unfortunate, death of his partner. While I hate this interviewer's style and the fact he ruins every interview with the Bob's Burgers cast, what happened to him personally is pretty sad.
Im kind of loving this anti-chemistry with the interviewer and the cast, it works somehow for me LMFAO

Why did this interviewer try so hard to insist Gene is gay? I love how Eugene insisted that Gene is fluid - bc that's so rare to see! A boy who doesn't care about the gender roles. He's just Gene, and that's all that matters. He's a boy, not yet a woman.
The interviewer is bothering me already. The guy who plays gene had a good answer. The interviewer needs to calm all the way down!

Gene is not gay what is this dudes fixation on that? Theres plenty of gay characters on this show. Marbles,Chacha, Glitter,Nat,Marshmallow. I mean I have never seen a cartoon with such a large amount of people from that community.
Marbles, ChaCha, and Glitter (and originally Marshmallow but she ended up being a recurring character with a tiny bit more depth and less “HAHA IT’S FUNNY BC TRANS WOMEN HAVE ADAM’S APPLES HAHA EVERYONE LAUGH” one note humor) were all one-time gimmick characters that were used to insult trans people and drag queens. they were portrayed as being gross with all the focus being placed on their damn Adam’s apples 💀 Nat’s the only gay character on the show that gets portrayed equally to how straight relationships on the show are portrayed. You’ve never seen a cartoon with such a large amount of people from “that community”? Go watch The Loud House lmao
Hell, Bob is better LGBT representation than the three trans women from Sheesh! Cab, Bob?…. He said in that one thanksgiving episode that he’s only “mostly straight” and that the guy behind the counter was out of his league

Why does sexuality have to be assumed or mentioned in like every interview?
Imagine what it’s like to be gay and have to grow up in a world where everyone you know constantly assumes you’re straight and asks you when you’re getting a girlfriend/boyfriend…. I promise it’s more annoying than straight people having to hear about gay characters in interviews you CHOOSE to watch

yeah im not getting the hate at all. he's just sarcastic, he's obvious great with the cast and has been to various outings with them too. and after all he has a job to do, he's not just a casual audience. he must guide the interview and so he has to ask the questions to keep it relevant. and the cast just tries to have fun and be likeable, that's their job. people are just too opinionated about everything 😓

Not in sexual way
Gene can be labeled anything but he does lean more towards gay than anything else. There are just way too many signs or clues on the show which may or may not be intentional. I mean c'mon, does he really hang out with other boys? He's usually playing with his sisters. Take Louise's surprise slumber party for example. Gene appeared to be having a little too much fun participating in their fashion show. When Zeke talked about boobs Gene appeared to show no interest at all! Gene's gay! If he isn't then the guy who plays him probably is gay but won't admit it.
thats because Gene is 11 and Zeke is like 13 or 14. Dont forget his BEST FRIEND ALEX. Having a big outgoing personality doesnt make you gay.
