I know many ppl have said this, but you really should be acting or writing! The ease with which you improvise with such wit and depth is really amazing - so interesting, convincing, & natural. From the start, you're so captivating that we have to listen to the end. Well done.🌷

When I was a teenager in the 90s, I was obsessed with the 70s. In 2024, someone is still obsessed with the 70s. I think every generation will always have a subset of people who are fascinated by the 60s/70s, even 100 years from now.
my mom said the same thing, in the 80s they were all told the 60s was better. there does seem to be something magical abt the era
I had the 50's shoved down our throats when I was a teen, now I am interested in many of the B films of that era.
Yea I can’t wait till we stop this obsession with the 80s.the 70 and 60’s was a better decade for music
@@timelordvictorious Its all of what you like, I personally hated the '80's .. at least the latter half, but it had some great music, but I'm certainly not obsessed with it, & actually the better stuff was the more obscure music that didn't hit the top 10. Call it what you want, I personally liked the Disco era myself.
I did like Kate bush she was a good singer of the 80.s.

Nailed it. A very period authentic performance. It's like character who stepped out of one of those late 70s youth movies, like 'Foxes' w/ Jodie Foster, et cetera.
The Association are NOT lame, Cherish is one of the best silly 60s pop songs!! also I Threw It All Away is so underrated, my fav Bob song, the Scott Walker version is insanely good too. hate to comment on every record but Ram goes hard, Tapestry is the greatest album of the 1970s, and anachronism aside I too have the first Panic album on vinyl!
I always liked "Along Comes Mary", it has a great swagger to it. Not lame, they own.

The Association and The Lovin' Spoonful were two of the only American bands I feel gave the mid-60s British pop groups a run for their money, albeit less consistently than The Beatles, et al. Never My Love is a beautiful song that seems nearly forgotten.
I loooved this, so relaxing. I could listen to you talk about music forever.
The first album I bought in a Record shop was Jail break - Thin Lizzy, 1976. Nothing beats vinyl. Cheers!

My two favorite records you showed were The Madcap Laughs by Syd Barret with Golden Hair being my favorite track ( Slowdive do a wonderful cover ) & Elvis Costello with My Aim Is True. Less Than Zero my favorite track & the song he famously stopped playing on Saturday Night Live & switched to Radio Radio. I used to live in Traverse City .. The funk and RnB back then was GOAT, -can’t forget Sly and the Family Stone, Mandrill, and Earth, Wind & Fire.

the original cover with all the faces was quickly discontinued and there are copies of the censored version from as early as 1978 ;)
