      that would be funny! haha! I've got her kidding stall all ready and I'll be putting her in it tonight and watching from the monitor. I don't think it's supposed to get nasty around here until the afternoon but it will be windy for sure before then!

    This has been an exceptionally helpful series! Thank you Heather! Even after raising rabbits most of my life, I've learned lots! I believe raising rabbits can be an excellent investment toward providing meat for a family. God bless!

    A note on Critical Care Herbivore - it is a feeding supplement intended for syringe/assist/force feeding. There is no medication in it, so it was probably more a supportive measure for the snuffles rather than an actual treatment. But still good to have.

    Im building cages soon. But damn its hard to find silver fox rabbits in Norway. French lops are whats common the most. But i'd love to get a breed thats special so i can also sell some. Looking into those items, but i doubt i can import them without vets approval. Sad about your dead baby bunny. Much love and blessings from Norway

      @@SageandStoneHomestead I remember soaking them and rinsing repeat and then on a stretcher to dry for days after that we would work them to get that smooth suede texture on the skin side and then we would sell them to people so they can make purses and other things A lady even made a scarf for her neck

    Thanks for this video. I plan to rewatch and take notes and watch your other videos also. Good info for pet rabbits also. We just recently lost one. Not sure why. Is there signs for the GI issue?

    • @SageandStoneHomestead
      @SageandStoneHomestead  Рік тому +2

      They will go off feed and sometimes get so much air in their belly that you can feel it gurgling around wen you massage their abdomen. They will stop pooping.

    I am interested in beginning a meat rabbit journey but I live in Southern California and we had days that reached 106 for multiple days. Is it really wise to invest the start up funds and then lose many rabbits every summer from the heat. Do I have only a 50/50 chance of healthy rabbits coming through the hot summers.

    • @SageandStoneHomestead
      @SageandStoneHomestead  3 місяці тому +1

      No you have a very good chance of them being fine especially if you provide the right coverage and airflow for them. We are regularly 110 here
