You hike from Timber Ridge/The Outpost and from there decide where to go. You follow the cat tracks up to the top of the bowls and decide which one to hike. There is tree skiing after yes from Bergman bowl specifically you do have to follow a specific trail out or you risk getting stuck. Best trees are off of North Bowl which you hike from the Outback chair.
Nice vid ...is it possible to “skate” on skis to the terrain?....I don’t have any bindings that would allow me to get skins and don’t think I could hike with ski boots on ....thanks
There are some flat sections but its mostly uphill so no you wouldn't be able to skate to the top. People hike this in ski boots all the time, though I know you're not trying to do that. Consider North/South bowl instead much shorter hike and you can even pay $5 to take a cat ride up when they have it running.
Hey Gavin! It was such a warm day that I decided to rock just a beanie. Which I prefer over my helmet. I was pretty comfortable with the terrain being that it was a wide open bowl so didn’t feel the need for the added protection.
How long is the hike? Will be out there in a week with my wife and was wondering if that is something she might want to do, depending on how long it takes? Thanks, great video
Hey Steve Moss thanks! The hike takes me about 30 mins but I live and play at 9,000 feet so I have Summit County lungs. I would say an hour to hour and 30 mins if your coming from a lower elevation.
Are there multiple trails or just one? If multiple, do they all include tree skiing?

I’ve been going to keystone this early season. I’ve never been to the back bowls, thanks for sharing the hikr
This coming season, you'll have a lift to them.
Great video! Thanks for posting. Looks like a blast!

@@zrey17 ..thank you !
Awesome video thanks man keep it up!
Not being critical because I do some chill hikes alone but do they let you hit the hike to bowls without a partner and avy gear?
Yea you can ride the bowls without a partner or a beacon. They do avalanche control in the bowls so if it’s not safe they won’t open them.
Is it possible for an intermediate snowboarder to run the bowls?
Riding the bowls is the easy part. Afterwards riding the trees can be a little more techy. If your fine riding in fairly open trees you’ll be good.
@@zrey17 will you be up there March 27th /28th? I’m going alone looking for someone that knows the mountain to board with.
just curious, why bring a helmet and not wear it? cool video btw, guess I need to explore more at the stone

Walking in those boots for that long seems like a pain.
Jacob Skovo My DC Mutiny’s are actually pretty cozy. When I get home tho I’m always itching to get them off and let my feet breath.
Informative and entertaining. Nice job man!
