This was exactly how it went for us when we farmed at a level 3 market except we didn't get a car fast enough and died to zone. 35 people left in game when we left the market. We each had 0 kills, 0 damage...and died on the way to circle to the blue. All for like a level 3 helmet and a couple emergency flares or something.
