Russia “Captures” Another Village, Advances “Deep” In Kharkiv | Ukraine Slams West For Arms Shortage

- Russian forces claimed to have seized a village near Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region, where it launched a new offensive last week. In an interview with AFP, Ukrainian President Zelensky warned Russia could intensify its offensive, urging the West for more air defences. However, Zelensky claimed Russia does “not have the forces” to attack Kyiv today, as it did in 2022. Zelensky said the "biggest advantage" for Russia was a ban on Ukraine using Western-donated weapons to strike Russian territory. Zelensky also rejected French President Macron's call for an Olympic truce, saying it would be an "advantage" to Russia, giving it time to move troops and artillery. US media reported that Kyiv urged Washington to provide intelligence on targets on Russian soil as Ukrainian troops struggle on the battlefield.

@@johntaylor3298 Yes. A Ukrainian nationalist battalion entered the city of Bucha; there was a video of the nationalists asking the commander if they could shoot at people in white armbands. Then this video began to be deleted everywhere, but it seems to still be preserved. In white armbands, these are people who helped Russian soldiers deliver humanitarian aid to civilians. As a result, Ukrainian nationalists killed them all. I don’t think that Zelensky himself was happy about these murders, but he used it for his own purposes. And making a beautiful picture out of it is not difficult. CNN, BBC, these channels will create any picture for money.
My personal opinion, the murders in Bucha, this is similar to the instructions of the British, British intelligence. It’s not West is afraid Russia will lose war, it’s West realizing Ukraine has no remote possibility to win the war and the West’s problem is finding a realistic negotiation strategy ending the war. The big problem for Zelensky and West is how to improve their seat at the negotiation table because Russia holds the best cards these days. As for Macron, he might want cease fire for Paris Olympic games because a big battlefield defeat or collapse in Ukraine will become a big news distraction during his Paris games.

It is unfair because the war is brought onto Ukrainian lands. However, NATO and Ukraine could have prevented this before the war started by offering peaceful solution to Donetsk Russian separatists. That conflict dragged on for nearly a decade before February 2022. Of course, it is unfair to Ukraine as it has to rely on foreign military support to sustain this conflict, and those supporting nations have to normalize their foreign relations with Russia while militarily assisting Ukraine. What is done is done, and the war stays. Thus, one side has to lose more than the other side to settle this conflict if it ever can be settled. When Russians withdrew from Kiev, that was a golden opportunity to lose less and settle, but Ukraine pressed for total restoration. Then, Russians learned their lesson and now near fully mobilized and committed to this war regardless of what this war is called. Calculation error by both sides has resulted and will result in surprising end result. Dnipro river and Siverskyi Donets river could be the new political border with DMZ. Ceasefire and not a peace treaty. Ultimately, Russia has to reach and save their Russian speaking people in Transnistria before that conflict ends up similar to Donetsk and Luhansk Oblast.
