The "Inconsistent Design" almost killed me😂
Windows got it right at a time (win 7) then broke the perfection and turned themselves into a mess they came out of.

They wanted and want to make a consistent design. Just have so many companies that have windows and fear they would switch to something else. But I mean I think it would be the other way around

Microsoft has come a long way with the design though. Windows 10 now looks far more consistent than it was back in 2014.

@@nclsDesign i started off with a macbook but after building a gaming pc and experiencing it, i wish i got a windows.
now i have to use virtualbox to run windows and its to laggy :(
but if we are just looking at companies they are pretty equal
@@potater6163 Just use Bootcamp to create a second partition with Windows installed or just fully install Windows on your Mac (Don't forget to save the data in FAT32 then)
@@nclsDesign my macbook only has like 120gb and 60gb is the os so making a separate partition might not me the best way but ig it works, do you have experience with this or have you done something similar before?

@@bharathirajkumar Thanks! Normally MacOS users don't care about compatibility. Is it like they pay for incompatibility, if would like that, just use the Linux Distro of the season.
But I like windows :( it would be nice if the design was consistent though.

@@electron8262 Yeah, and now, people who rely on mainstream apps have switched to macOS for the personal computer while power users have moved to Linux and the people who don't care to ChromeOS.
You are right, but hopefully that is changing in Windows 11.
The design is getting more consistent, the drop-down menus now have the same design language, the Settings and the Microsoft Store apps now have the same design language as well, and others apps will follow but we’ll see when it’s done.

@@mugrides6177 Around the O.S. there are so many different design languages that it looks like the O.S. was designed by many designers that didn't like each other and didn't collaborate even a bit. It looks incredible that it all comes from a big and famous company like Microsoft....

Mostly, but not all, in some cases, making a analogy, is like if somebody were in a middle of a move and have the charger in the new house and the phone in the older one; so, to make one thing you need one and for some other you need both of them.

THIS LITTERLY LOOKS ALMOST EXACTLY LIKE WINDOWS 11! either microsoft copied you or some crazy coincidence happened. the downloads icon, the desk top, pictures, and videos icons look exactly the same.
These Icons are appeared some weeks ago before in some Sun Valley Builds. The earliest icons were appeared in March.
@@Kiki79250CoC and most of Windows 11 UI-elements are moved over from the now canceled, never-released Windows 10X, which had a preview build all the way back in march 2020 (over a year ago)

I think that’s actually one of the worst scenes he made. The screen makes a motion matched cut to a microsoft logo that then transforms into a bunch of buttons, but it does so in a bunch of unrelated movements that feel clunky when put together. The transition is what exactly, Microsoft logo to a bunch of buttons? As a (mostly designer but also) motion designer myself, this sort of thing happens a lot for me, but I usually just undo the entire thing I did and go back to the drawing board with transitions. It baffles me why he’d keep that in, I suppose sometimes it’s hard to come up with alternatives, but it’s a meaningless transition (what is ms morphing to window buttons supposed to even mean?) and it’s not executed that well too. It’s all nicely eased but that’s not enough.

GNU/Linux is better because you can make it look like literally whatever you want. this is called "ricing", you can make it look and work exactly like MacOS, or even like this video, this is helped by software like KDE and its Global Application Menu in Panel setting. The "Terminal" app of MacOS already works very very similar to Terminal app of GNU/Linux, because all UNIX operating systems are related, BUT not identical, commands typed out for each look slightly different - if u primarily want the commands to be similar, u can use a different UNIX operating system called FreeBSD which is more closely related to MacOS than GNU/Linux. The most closely related to MacOS is PureDarwin but there are very few existing programs that run on that, the most supported is GNU/Linux which can run almost all open source programs perfectly, all games published by Valve Software which is a GNU/Linux supporting company perfectly, almost all games and software for Windows (but some are very difficult to install and make work even if they do work), and even a lot of software that works on both GNU/Linux and Mac because of how they are similar (the application Android File Transfer, software written in the language UNIX Shell like the installer for the reverse engineered port of Super Mario 64 for GNU/Linux and MacOS) but not on Windows (the Windows installer for that game is a completely differently written program)
