I actually met him one time. I was deployed with 1st Armored Division in Iraq where he was commanding and he came down to our area and met our platoon. He didn't have too of course, but he gave a small speech, talked to all of us. You don't get to see a division commander all that much when you are just a private in the army at least that is what I was at the time.

I really like that he only wears 6 ribbons. When someone wears a bunch of crap, it just looks like they are from a different country. George Washington had only created one. This reminds me of honoring that tradition.
