@DriveTalkCars I just applied two coats over a 24 hour period, the first coat, then 24 hours later the 2nd. It was cooler weather and I used a microfiber applicator. Two sprays initially (less and less as the applicator became loaded with product). I would apply it to 1/4 or 1/2 the panel and before it flashed, buff it off with a plush microfiber. The results were amazing. The gloss and slickness only improved with time. Then 4 hours after the second coat, the gloss and slickness were beyond words. As of this writing, it's been 36 hours since the 2nd coat was applied and MAN!!!! I can't say gloss, reflectivity or slickness enough. Two coats over the paint, glass, headlights, taillights and trim and I used MAYBE 1.5 to 2 ounces of product. Some are saying that $30 is too expensive, but I believe I can get at least 10+ more coats on my car and still not use the whole bottle...that's economical.
I've also decided to use this as a drying aid either every week or every 2nd week. The Ceramic Spray Coating lasted over 7 months during a NE Ohio winter, with NO upkeep or maintenance. I'm very curious to see how this compares to the Ceramic Spray.
That’s an awesome plan of attack for the product! Yes, it is definitely amazing (to me anyways)!
I ❤❤❤❤ the Turtle Wax Graphene Spray Wax! My favorite method is the 1 Step wax while you dry the car. GREAT product, cool review!! Thanks for posting!!
You can use a lot less product doing the base coat method, 2 sprays on an applicator will do half a bonnet (hood to you guys over the pond) that is why you got high spots mate.
After a few trials and errors, the 1 step drying aid method is really the best way to evenly spread the product and produces the best results. Base coat method will often leave high spots and mild hazing around that requires a damp microfiber to remove.
Just want to comment, really enjoyed the video. Not too long, not too short either. I like the techy editing similar to PC parts reviews. Only one tiny suggestion, (more like a request) is show the water beading after applying the product. People seem to love that in wax reviews. I subscribed to help support and hope your channel grows.
Thanks for the suggestion and sub! ...yeah, when I was editing I said the same thing... “I should have showed the beading” 👍🏽
Turtle Wax Graphene Flex is by FAR the best product I've ever used, and I've tried many, many different Carnauba AND so-called " Ceramic" waxes over the years.
Biggest thing ive noticed using this and their other products, this product makes the paint feel smooth and soft feeling.
I absolutely love this product. It makes my red metallic paint absolutely pop. Tried several others before, looked nice but no wow factor. This stuff gives it that WOW look, and terrific slickness. Yes, its a bit more labor intensive, but its worth it. Im 64 now, and the extra effort is no big deal. I use it once a month on the car immediately after washing, that works the best for me.
I know I'm a bit late but this is the first video I've watched and you have amazing production quality. I expected you to have a lot more subscribers than you do.. thanks for the vid!
I bought this and love it so far. I’ve only done the base coat method on the hood of my black Silverado and holy crap it’s awesome. I didn’t read the directions but apparently it says for the base coat to use a damp microfiber when removing it from the surface. I didn’t do this. I sprayed it on an applicator and did criss cross patterns and buffed off with a dry microfiber. I’ve never had water bead like this in the hundred products I’ve tried over the years. I can’t wait to do the rest of the truck. After seeing you ride done I can’t wait to get it done. Your car is friggin sweet. Thanks for the content and I’m subscribing. 👍🏻
Yeah the product is awesome! Thanks for leaving a comment and subscribing! 🙏🏽
The best way to use this is to wash and dry the car, then a few sprays on the panel and spread it with an applicator. Once it's dried then use a damp microfibre cloth across the panel THEN buff dry with a clean MF cloth. If you try and buff it off without the damp towel wipe you will find it hard to get off, smeary and awkward to get right.
Thank you for your video. I tried the product gives great look. However when it rains or when I wash my car I end up getting lots of water spots. Haven't had that problem before using the graphene
‘like a new penny! 🖤
I tried this today using the first method and i am not impressed when buffing it despite using a few microfiber clothes it has left streaks no matter how much i buffed it they would not come out
I can't speak personally about this product but I do the third method for the meguiars hybrid ceramic wax and it works just as good. Saves time.
To get the most out of this product, would you recommend using the one & done compound first? Then use the liquid wax second? Then use the flex wax?
I would say yes that’s the way to go. The flex wax can be a quick maintenance wax just to keep the shine and wet repellency
This stuff is pretty awesome! Just posted a review on the application myself.
Keep up the good work bud, subscribed 👍🏻
Yeah, I really pleased with the products. Cool, I am going to check it out!
Awesome! Thanks for the sub!
Your car looks smooth ass hell. Did you clay bar and polish recently or did you straight up just wash and applied this product?
Thanks! No, I haven’t ever polished or used clay bar on my Camaro. That’s just wash and the product.
Sir which one is best?
Flex wax or to the max?
Looks good.
great video, however, i have used this product on my obsidian black mercedes. i chose method 1. i washed the car, dried it then applied the flex wax. Caution, it was really difficult to remove, it took ages and ages to polish it off and i was surprised and disappointed. i used 2 sprays per panel and did one panel at a time. i found it even more difficult if you leave it a few minutes. the second time i used it i gave it to the guy at my local car wash, he uses auto glym but i asked him to polish my car after washing it with the flex polish. he told me to never ask him to do it again with the flex. he also found it difficult to remove.
Yeah, it can be hard sometimes. I used too much initially and it was kind of hard. I would definitely do it section by section if doing the dry method. I use the wet method myself. Also, you can’t use the same towel for too long. The wax builds up pretty quickly. Thanks again for checking out video and leaving a comment 🙏🏽
Apparently unlike classical waxes, a very small amount goes a long way and you want to use a little water with it.
@@DriveTalkCars i`m now using the turtle wax colour magic. really easy to use, spray on, spread out, allow to set and polish off, really easy and a great finish.
It seems like you put a lot on for the base coat, was it difficult to wipe off without streaks? I had this problem when I did mine and quickly learned a little goes a long way. Otherwise love this product so far. Can't wait to try it as drying aid next time I wash.
May I ask, after application how long it can last?
Nice Camaro! I have a black '13 I do have to say it looks like you're over-applying it a bit, but it seemed to work out well for you. I plan on doing a dry (base coat) application, then using it as a drying aid after that, what you call a one step. Let us know how it holds up for you.
Yeah, I went a little heavy initially... learned. Lol
But results were great. That sounds like a good plan. 👍🏽 I’ll do an update video on how it held up. Thanks for the comment and checking out the channel!
How long it last ?
Can flex be added on a wet car and rinsed off with the pressure washer. If not how is this best applied
It sure can. That’s how I prefer to do it.
However, one thing that I noticed is the wax does build up on your drying towels and you may have to use more than one towel. Also, sometimes the wax smears when drying. Just have to buff it out with clean towel.
Whoa !! It says 2 sprays per panel ? You were spraying 6 or more
nice informative video, unfortunately the stock paint job from Chevy is horrible.
There is a whole lot of orange peel on that base coat
You're putting way too much product on the car. Two sprays per panel. You're spraying the heck out of that stuff.
this product only needs 2 sprays per panel, i think he sprayed too much in the first two methods
2 sprays per panel. You do like 2 sprays per foot
Hows this product holding up?
I love it! I use it as a topper so I can maintain a protective layer. With it being so easy to use it is a no-brainer.
Buddy used way too much product... 3-4 sprays for the whole hood.
I had a hard time removing it. Did I use too much?
That could be the cause or it dried out before you wiped it off. Also, I noticed the wax would build up on the towel. So you might need to swap out towels every now and then.
Have had this for a short time now. And I have to say you are spraying way too much of the product on each panel. You only need 2 sprays per panel. Then after applying the spray wipe in a circular motion followed by horizontal & then vertical. This helps the graphine to mesh and flex in all directions. As per the name of the product.
Can we use this on windshield and trimmmed areas
Dude...it says 2 sprays per panel. Why are you dousing the damn hood with like 20 sprays? Thats why your getting the streaks and high spots. Save your product. In this case, less is more.
Can we use this product on PPF Coated CARS
@@DriveTalkCars Thanks for your reply...
Bit worried if this can make the Paint protection film yellow after some prolonged usage...
You are only supposed to use 2 sprays per panel not as much as you were using.
So, basically this is a, "I can't follow the simplest of instructions" proof video. #1 That is NOT how a soap cannon is supposed to be used. #2 Way too much product which makes it not only very difficult to wipe all the excess off but is also a waste of product. That bottle holds enough to wax your car for ~10 years.
I advise you to work differently. It will not take you more time and it will only benefit the car paint.
Foam the car, let it soak for 5 minutes, then rinse, re-foam and use the wash mit, and then rinse.
Two sprays per panel…
Couple of sprays per panel not 15 ya dope 😐
You the first guy I seen who did all three methods wrong by using way to much ,,,,just follow the instructions its not that hard even for you.....
I tried the wet version and it left nothing but a sticky hazy film on my car? Anyone else have this issue?
Make sure to dry it well. I didn't dry well in some spots one time and it left a slightly sticky surface.
You're putting way too much product on the car. Two sprays per panel. You're spraying the heck out of that stuff.
@@mryafeay you can do it that way, but your applicator will get saturated, so watch for that. Less is more. You just want a nice, even, thin application. I spray it right on the car. You don’t have to worry about overspray because it can and should be applied to all surfaces. Paint, glass, plastic, everything.
@@mryafeay Use two microfiber towels. One for application, one for working it in. You’ll be amazed at the slickness and hydrophobic properties afterwards. By the way, have you ceramic coated your car? I bought the Adam’s Advanced Graphene Ceramic coating and applied it myself, and it’s amazing! Pro detailers charge over $1,000 to do it, but the Adam’s product is like $115 on Amazon. I only used about 30% of the small bottle to do my Prius, and now all I have to do is wash my car, no more waxing! I still hit it with the Flex wax about twice a year, just to give it that slick boost, but other than that, it’s good to go for seven years! If you ever want to do it and you need advice, just ask. I watched a lot of videos online from Pantheorganizer and Adam’s and it was a piece of cake. Took three hours to do my car, then you have to let it sit in a garage for a few days to cure. Also important to do all the prep work ahead of time, but that was all pretty simple as well. Good luck to you!
Video deserves more likes. Fantastic presentation without the unnecessary filler.
Much appreciated!
