Love seeing you take on Legendary, and hearing your kind of zen gamer philosophy about difficulty. I feel the same way, or at least I love watching other people take on these wild challenges, learn, grow, and overcome them. There's something beautiful about that. Plus the sheer childhood nostalgia Flooding back in for Halo 2, watching you rediscover this great franchise one game at a time.
me: Sees that S0ur has uploaded a Halo 2 Blind legendary run. Has flashbacks of my own... after I had even beaten the game first normally. Oh god... What a madman. S0ur: It can't be that bad! me: Oh this is gonna be good.
The feeling of accomplishing something stupidly difficult is worth the struggle IMO. That's what kept me going when trying to solo flawless Prophecy for the first time in D2 xd Then having Deep Space Lullaby play back in Orbit after finishing it? Pure bliss.
Seeing someone who is really into Destiny exploring the Halo games for the first time has been a genuinely fascinating thing. It's given a new perspective for me that I really appreciate. I love both series but encountered them in the reverse order, so watching these has legit been a new experience. Cheers, probably my favorite blind playthroughs of the series to date.
I'm genuinely disappointed that the algo didn't make this video pop off. You deserve it, S0ur. Great vid as always and I hope you continue the Halo series (including Halo Wars)
@@theeriecanal8875 Every campaign is coop too, CE and Halo 2 are 2 player and Halo 3, ODST, Reach, and 4 are all 4 player coop. They’re really fun games to play on the highest difficulty with a friend. (Except in Halo 2 if one of you dies it resets the checkpoint on legendary)
His playthrough really shows off how designed for strategic weapon usage Bungie Halo was - if you know the strats, it can look fast and smooth, but if you aren't using Those weapons, or just can't get them, things get rough fast.
I love watching people experience halo for the first time, thank you for sharing this with us Being patient and using precision weapons are the two best skills imo when it comes to higher difficulty halo games, so seeing how you tackled the beginning section of Gravemind was a joy to watch. I really hope you decide to do halo 3 and beyond as well!
S0ur you're a competent player that likes the challenge, I would turn on some skulls to make Halo 3 more of a challenge. Bungie made Halo 3 slightly less threatening because of complaints with 2, as a result it feels easier than CE or 2. Most of the skulls also make the game play more tedious, like no reticle, double health etc, though there's 3 that add difficulty without the tedium. Tough luck makes enemies dodge more Catch makes enemies throw more grenades Thunderstorm increases the rank of some enemies You don't need them on, but if H3 doesn't quite have the punch you're wanting these 3 can make it feel more similar to CE and 2.
I hope you go through the rest of the games, this was wonderful to watch - getting to relive my nostalgia while also hearing a fresh take on the series is a treat.
I’ve been enjoying the hell out of you experiencing my favorite games for the first time. Honestly a lot of charm is seeing you learn as you go whether it be with the graphics toggle or anything gameplay wise.
This was such an entertaining and nicely done video. I cant believe i just rawdogged the full 5 hours of it. Keep up the great work and congrats for the acomplishment that is legendary Halo 2!
Very refreshing to see this done by someone who wasnt a rage game. Back when I did this, after doing heroic upon release, I spent so much time back tracking and swap moving weapons, Gave every marine a sniper for inf ammo when possible(they live longer and are more tactically defensive). Impressive you just raw dogged every encounter with the weapons you came in with and could grab
Glad you came around to the Carbine! It’s pretty much just a BR. Sentinel Beam is really good on Flood - makes sense considering it comes from the drones made to contain Flood outbreaks. Energy sword is good too, but not ideal since you need to be in range of the Flood’s deadly melee. I remember as a kid I did a Legendary run but also reloaded if any of my NPC squad died. Will have to try one soon.
S0ur deserves subs he is a funny and Insightful. and most of all seems like a genuine person! I found your content from the medal of honor allied assault playthrough and stuck around!! keep on making this amazing content for us! Also thanks again for all the help on discord bro!
Fantastic video Sour! Your first Halo playthrough introduced me to your channel and this video is so fantastically edited and paced for being OVER 5 hours. Between your experience from the first title and your battle-hardened will from your COD challenges, I fully consider you significantly adept at Halo's gameplay at this point. With that being said, you will not have a challenge for Halo 3. Like, at all. If anything, you might even want to spice it up a bit with some skulls (or come back to the previous titles with skulls at some point). As you say, if it isn't a challenge, it isn't worth doing! Either way, looking forward to your future playthroughs and wish you all the success with your channel!
This was awesome to watch for the nostalgia back when I was ten lol. Thanks for posting… By the way, if your first time experiencing this game was while using the OG controller, I think you would’ve broken a few of them in the process 😂
Loved the playthrough It's so interesting watching people play and not instinctively shoot at the portals the sentinels come out of and forget the invisibility every flood level is pretty much a run through with that ability 😆😆
Damn bro. I wanna see the Halo 3 run. Halo 3 is definitely the most fair on legendary out of all the Halo campaigns I think. That or Halo CE. Every death in those games when I played them on legendary, was completely all my fault. I doubt you'll have any problems with it but I'm really excited for you to experience what might be my favorite Halo, that or CE!
It’s funny to see him use Rtas ‘Vadum (turret man) as a convenient punching bag to distract the enemies. “Yeah, sure, don’t worry- I’m in the next game, so I’m invincible.”
Finally. A play thorough of Halo 2 by a competent gamer. No Fake reactions, Obvious improvement throughout the game, and no fake reactions to make the game look hard nor make yourself look so damn stupid.
Oh boy I can't wait to watch the Gravemind run. "Brutes! The faster you can kill those brutes the better. They don't have shield generators, so take them out before -- IT'S BESERKING" is forever engraved into my brain doing this on LASO
Really enjoyed the first video. Really looking forward to this one. Definitely my favourite Halo game especially because its the first fps game i remember playing on the OG Xbox.
Was awesome to watch, halo 3 is a treat! And I'm gonna guess that this would be super easy tbh haha, cortana is a rough missions but not crazy difficult, it's an awesome game tbh. And for deaths I'd say around 400ish even that's probs to high haha
Not sure if people already mentioned it, but Halo 3 has arguably the easiest legendary campaign of all the Halo games. Though you can still die fast if you get too careless, enemies go down much quicker so compared to Halo 2 or even CE legendary it's a cakewalk.
I’m sure you know this by now, but on mission 10 in the last room where you can let the 2 sides fight each other, in the original graphics mode they play Breaking Benjamin Which is pretty funny
I think another major factor of why people found halo 2 legendary so hard is while playing split-screen, if either player dies then you both have to reset to the last checkpoint. In all other halos, player A could go hide in a corner and player B would respawn. It was grueling if you weren’t on the same page as your teammate!
A 5+ hour edited video is nuts! I can only image how long that took. And of course, well done conquering legendary! I do think Halo 2 is hard relative to the rest of the series, but I also think (from a Halo fan perspective) it's easy to forget that it may not be as formidable when compared beyond its own franchise. In reality, you demonstrated that the difficulty is really a duel with patience. If you come in with that mindset (as you did), then it is very doable. All in all, a very enjoyable video. I'm looking forward to Halo 3!
Really interesting and entertaining stuff. Wild that you just walked through Outskirts, but not surprised about Gravemind in the slightest. Then again, some of the CoDs and MoHs have had downright despicable stuff in them
looking forward to seeing you try ODST which takes place after the metropolis mission in halo 2. my advice for that game: "seek out all of the audio logs in the streets, and a mission will be made easier"
Man seeing how you handled Halo 2 I'm looking forward to Reach, the difficulty there is like Halo 2 but fair and it's also not held together by shoestring towards the end. Halo 3 legendary almost feels like the intended experience imo so that'll be a good time. Also I think the whole geometry conversation is 90% about the one invisible rock in Assault on the Control Room and the lip on that overhang in the brute room.
You consistently make very captivating videos and I love watching them through. Thanks for another great one that I watched throughout the entire work week! I think everyone was warning you because they got this game way back when on Xbox and played it for years on controller, which you stated at the end would’ve “absolutely made the game no fun”. You see the horror stories of aim assist on COD being in favor of the player. In Halo, they do not babysit you with aim assist, sure there is some, but you are a bit more lost, which adds more challenge. I’m glad you’re enjoying these and can’t wait for you to keep working your way through the series!
ive been a halo fan nearly all my life and THIS is my first time both seeing Halo 2 in full and also experiencing it at all, i never had the OG Xbox and was told its only on there and I havent gotten the time to play it on MMC so this must say allot about how i view you as a content creator if ive never watched a play through in about 10 years and now im watching yours even though ive yet to experience it for myself
Love these videos, I hope he plays all the Halo’s and doesn’t stop after 3 or ODST. 4 and 5 have many issues but I personally really enjoyed playing them on legendary.
One thing that I love about Halo 3 are the in-game set pieces that play out. Like when you walk into a room or an area and you see brutes about to execute a marine. Kinda like an in gameplay cutscene. Sometimes you can cut these moments off and miss them completely if you come running into an area gunning without taking everything in first. Just a heads up
Loved the video man, it’s always nice to see especially for their first time someone experience halo, It’d be absolutely sick if you can do halo 3 ODST next it’s such a great game
Very Excited for Legendary Halo3, Reach, ODST, and 4, long way down the road, it's been a blast seeing someone doing a blind run, who is pretty damn good at the game.
Forcing your vehicle through spots they were not intended to fit through is quintessential Halo gameplay.
If you didnt bust the wings off a ghost to get in a tight spot you didnt have a childhood

That's what kept me going when trying to solo flawless Prophecy for the first time in D2 xd
Then having Deep Space Lullaby play back in Orbit after finishing it? Pure bliss.
They just hit the second halo!
Nah that was so funny😂
Alluha space bar
That's what he said
Seeing someone who is really into Destiny exploring the Halo games for the first time has been a genuinely fascinating thing.
As someone who has also never played Halo, this is a fun way to vicariously get the lore lol
You definitely should play the games. The lore is awesome but the gameplay is even better.
@@levi22esI actually have the MCC on steam, maybe time to boot it up. It does look pretty fun
@@theeriecanal8875 dude do it! The games are classics for a reason.
Been waiting for this video ever since the last one. So pumped to have this be the subject of my next week’s worth of dinners/workouts
those remade cutscenes are so fucking gorgeous. They really cooked on the Halo 2 remaster
When you said the carbine was bad my inner nerd was screaming at you. Glad you had a change of heart tho
His playthrough really shows off how designed for strategic weapon usage Bungie Halo was - if you know the strats, it can look fast and smooth, but if you aren't using Those weapons, or just can't get them, things get rough fast.
doing the arbiter missions without invis, even after figuring out the button for it, was insane, and im here for it
5 hours and a really tough challenge? S0ur videos are always worth the wait. Let the Halo journey continue
The shields all have a hole on one side. Pop that, the jackal flubs their shield, carbine headshot. Carbine/brute shot was my go-to
Whispers near IO was the craziest Easter egg ever. Love Halo so much.
Love these longplay vids man
I love watching people experience halo for the first time, thank you for sharing this with us
Being patient and using precision weapons are the two best skills imo when it comes to higher difficulty halo games, so seeing how you tackled the beginning section of Gravemind was a joy to watch.
I really hope you decide to do halo 3 and beyond as well!
Honestly the only thing bout this play through is him not using the arbiters invisibility at ALL, its sooooo useful especially on the flood missions
Tough luck makes enemies dodge more
Catch makes enemies throw more grenades
Thunderstorm increases the rank of some enemies
You don't need them on, but if H3 doesn't quite have the punch you're wanting these 3 can make it feel more similar to CE and 2.
@@theCelticDragon1 Everyone was so worried about him playing on Legendary and this guy wants him to make it harder, I love it
seeing how long this vid is made me laugh before watching. thanks for the amazing content as always
There was actually a *super* interesting reason for why only humans are considered reclaimers, but 343 decided to retcon it when they made Halo 4.
I liked that original plan for the lore, but it's too late for regrets.
Great stuff, really loved the Halo CE video.
11:15 I’m amazed everyone misses that but you saw the boardingcraft. Heck I’ve only noticed that little detail when I’ve seen the developer commentary
I hope you go through the rest of the games, this was wonderful to watch - getting to relive my nostalgia while also hearing a fresh take on the series is a treat.
YES! just finished your halo CE playthrough, and went to check if you’ve done 2 yet. Super hyped for this.
I’ve been enjoying the hell out of you experiencing my favorite games for the first time. Honestly a lot of charm is seeing you learn as you go whether it be with the graphics toggle or anything gameplay wise.
Was waiting for this! Love this series
Watching the first sniper alley in the 2nd mission made me laugh so hard
Watching the real sniper alley in delta hall was the real deal. I couldn't stop smiling
how the hell has this video not got more views?
This was such an entertaining and nicely done video. I cant believe i just rawdogged the full 5 hours of it. Keep up the great work and congrats for the acomplishment that is legendary Halo 2!
I loved watching your playthrough! Can't wait for Halo 3! Try LASO next lol! You're pretty good at this for a first timer!!!
Also, you can crouch jump and in Halo: CE you can backpack reload.
Please please do halo 3 soon! Loved your two videos on halo! Please don’t make us wait too long! You’re awesome man!!
It's so much fun to watch someone who's good at FPS games to play Halo for the first time. Glad you enjoyed Halo 2 I hope you enjoy the next ones
Don’t think I’ve been so entertained by such a long video before. Can’t wait for the next halo video 😄
This might be my favourite video of yours man, now I'm just super excited for you to do 3, ODST and Reach
I love halo and the old sounds
This was awesome to watch for the nostalgia back when I was ten lol. Thanks for posting… By the way, if your first time experiencing this game was while using the OG controller, I think you would’ve broken a few of them in the process 😂
LOVE these videos, hope to see more soon 😊
I just gotta say I love your high pitch voice crack laugh. There's just something so genuine and wholesome about it.
Playing these games back on legendary is refreshing because you have to actually think and plan rather than “skill issue”
Loved the playthrough
It's so interesting watching people play and not instinctively shoot at the portals the sentinels come out of and forget the invisibility every flood level is pretty much a run through with that ability 😆😆
I’m glad you agree Jackal snipers are pushovers. Halo 2 on Legendary really isn’t that bad.
I love seeing you picking up the right tactics as you go
Watched the whole thing. This was like watching a friend play H2 legendary for the first time. Thanks man!!
Really enjoyed the first video. Really looking forward to this one. Definitely my favourite Halo game especially because its the first fps game i remember playing on the OG Xbox.
I love this, and you're amazing for putting this up! I've been waiting for this for weeks! You're my favorite UA-camr right now Sour!🎉
Gravemind on legendary is insane
Been waiting for this for a while.
I’m sure you know this by now, but on mission 10 in the last room where you can let the 2 sides fight each other, in the original graphics mode they play Breaking Benjamin
Which is pretty funny
I think another major factor of why people found halo 2 legendary so hard is while playing split-screen, if either player dies then you both have to reset to the last checkpoint. In all other halos, player A could go hide in a corner and player B would respawn. It was grueling if you weren’t on the same page as your teammate!
Can’t believe bungie teased whisper of the worm so far back. “Whisper, Io?”
Then again, some of the CoDs and MoHs have had downright despicable stuff in them
that's gotta be the chillest blind legendary Gravemind i've ever seen, funny as fuck too
subbing immediately
looking forward to seeing you try ODST which takes place after the metropolis mission in halo 2.
my advice for that game: "seek out all of the audio logs in the streets, and a mission will be made easier"
Im cant wait for odst and reach
