This is the best beach in NS for agates as far as quantity and quality combined. How cool would that be, us rockhounding in NS!! No pressure on sending anything. I do like that Poppy Jasper though......😉

Do you mind sharing where you are I am in need of a vacation of course that probably can’t happen till next summer but I would give my right arm, no my left, to just sit on a beach like that and look for agates.
I wish I could find pretty rocks n crystals at my beaches, but my home is too young. We only have bluestone and lava rocks here. If I want nice rocks for my tumblers I have to get them from eBay.
My understanding is that carnelians are more of a dark blood orange colour. This one is definitely like that but I can see how some people could see it as red.

Scots Bay is the easiest beach to get to and access. Lots of gems and treasures there

Absolutely. The beach we were on in this video is called Scot’s Bay Beach. It’s loaded with small and medium sized agates!!!

All beaches are public and no they are not crowded!
