- This video provides a little background as to who I am as a person, and what my goals are for this channel. In the future I'm going to continue to post rules and regulation videos. but also commentary on various aviation topics.
Good content, this video and your service is most appreciated. My son FAIP'd T-38s @ XL, '17-'20, now a Viper pilot in the 14th. Long, incredible journey. I couldn't be more humbled and proud of you kids. Connected to your every word. Bullseye. Keep at it.
Congrats on becoming an IP. My dad was an IP in T-38’s at Reese AFB in the mid 70’s. He had some great stories to tell. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.
That's awesome. Hook em all!
Longtime AF brat here; dad was a fighter jock. Still "is"....at 92.
Sure glad I found this channel! Heading to T-6 PIT soon as a brand new FAIP and definitely will be coming back to the videos on this channel to get my questions answered haha
Welcome aboard! Flying the Texan has been an awesome opportunity for me. You have an aircraft that is athletic enough to fly fast and do fun stiff, but still small enough to get into any airport without having to worry about TOLD.
Way to go Court so proud of you!!!!
Thanks!
This video is not boring. In fact, it’s very informative. Congratulations on your channel and keep up the good work.
Thank you! Will do!
I love the intro and narrative. I look forward to more.
More to come!
T-37 IP Williams AFB 1972-1975. T37. Everyone flew T38 to graduate . Important to communicate safety first only one fatal accident per lifetime. Thanks for the channel.
That's awesome! Believe it or not, as of last year, we're putting wings on chests directly out of the T-6.
The name of the channel caught me off guard, good luck with the channel! :)
Haha, I feel you, thanks!
Great vid even tho it’s a intro, motivated me even more to get through college and rotc
Awesome man, great to hear it! Keep working hard and let me know if you need anything
I would say you could shorten the length of the intro, although when you welcome the viewers, it's catchy and I can see it being what you say at the beginning of every video. I can hear the passion in your voice and you're a great storyteller. I'm not entirely sure the background music matches the tone of the video, though. This is something I struggle with as there aren't a ton of good options on UA-cam's free music library.
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I'll definitely incorporate that into my future videos
Awesome channel man! 2018 commissioned too here with the Philippine Air Force!
That's great to hear! Let me know if you have any flying footage that I can use in my videos!
yu r doing real good kiddo and a lot of black kids do not get to see enough of dudes like you to inspire them, happy tailwinds.
Going into my Senior Year of ROTC with a pilot slot. If you can include some advice on how to be competitive for a T-38 track select I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
That's awesome to hear man! Ill definitely look into putting something like that together.
Wow I'm so glad I came across this channel!!
Great to hear man!
Very nice. Good luck man.
Thanks, you too!
Nice I'm looking forward to watching your videos
Thanks man, let me know if you have any topics you'd like to see covered
19-21er out of vance, great stuff man!
Hell yea, appreciate the support
awesome video bro!
Glad you liked it, and thank's for the support
Solid content! Much love for the T6, but you totally got me with the Raptor bit! Haha! Do T6 instructors transition to T38 instructors later on in their career? Also, for that matter, can fresh lieutenants out of USAF flight training get put on the F22, or do they have to climb up the "ladder" by flying Vipers or Eagles first?
Although more rare than a 15/16, you can most definitely “get put on” (drop) F-22/35s right out of pilot training!
@TheAdeebster niceeee
Cool channel man!
Good stuff…
Glad you enjoyed
Very interresting, a folllow yu
i'm simulator flyer, so i'd love to know more details, that's rarely opened for people exclude secrets of course. more visual information like extreme flight like inverted spin , flat spin, inverted flat spin, falling leaf by longitude or and by latitude, knife-spin if that even exist in military birds, how some birds take tail slide, buffeting on overspeed and high aoa. more cabins details, max close to pilot eyes pov video. side wind landing, tad behavior on high aoa torque roll, something dangerous for newbie, but usual for experience pilots. some info about prohibition stuff. i'd say more theoretical things but in practical implementation. any details, that can be wrongly think as not important/interesting. thank you.
very cool
Cool. Does the AF or Reserve recruit for pilots who only instruct? I’m applying for fighter slots with the ANG, at the moment (taking AFOQT and TBAS soon), but this job would be awesome too. I’m already a pilot and CFI.
Although i think it's technically possible, I have not heard of any reserve units associated with UPT hiring guys to go directly into teaching. They usually pick up former T-6/T-38/T-1 instructors. I do know that there is a F-15C unit out of Oregon that recruits dudes off the street to become instructors, but you still have to go through 5 years of "seasoning" before instructing
Hey there. I want to go to the Air Force Academy in my future but have been mostly focusing on rotary wing aviation. But an alternative would be an IP, but I dont exactly know much about that. How does IP selection work? Is there a way to “guarantee” (or something like that anyways) a spot as an IP. If not, I will just stick to rotary wing. Thanks in advance.
There's no way to guarantee anything unfortunately. The unfortunate truth is that everything is all about "needs of the Air Force". You can be an IP in any aircraft btw, the T-6/38 are the only aircraft that your first assignment can be an instructor assignment
@@CourtyBoi ok I see, thanks for getting back to me!
What camera did you use to record yourself flying?
I didnt record any of the footage actually. I just pull videos i like off of youtube and www.dvidshub.net/search/?q=T-6A&filter%5Btype%5D=video&view=grid
You haven't lived until you've cruised at 90 mph in a USAF T-41A!
Oh yes, sounds exciting! 😂
Are you going to be an instructor pilot your whole Air Force career, or are you going to fly something else after your first assignment?
I actually just found out that I'm headed to the B-1B Lancer this summer. I'll unfortunately have to start from the bottom as a co-pilot, but expect to relatively quickly progress to an instructor.
@@CourtyBoi I just saw your post, that’s awesome! Congratulations
Awesome 👍
Appreciate it brotha

Welcome aboard!
Do you still teach flight lessons?
Yep! I'll be teaching until summer of '23
