An important thing to remember is that Luke has always been a good good athlete not an official member of good good. We were just extremely lucky to get him for a long as we did.
I think he was an official member….cuz after him they made it clear certain ppl on the channel are not members but sponsored athletes they never said that about Luke

GG has matured since Grant and Micah, they were kinda butt hurt and acted like babies when they left, they handled this well.

Luke was filming all over the world. He was playing Taco in New Zealand and was in Dubai.

It feels like good good has gone like full blown corporate push product and with that includes the fact that you can’t really be yourself since you represent these brands… I feel like Luke and Ben have shown so much more personality and have had more fun doing vids outside of the good good platform
Of course you are going to appear more comfortable with more personality on your own channel rather than 1 of 6 or 7 different golfers which all take up airtime. Even Garrett and Brad have more of their personality shine on gm_golf, with just the 2 of them. The value in Good Good and what the other 6-some (BustaJack, Bryan Bros, Grant and Micah) have capitalized on is the team challenges.
There is a tradeoff, for Good Good you are an employee with minimal pressure in running the business side of things. The hassle is sticking to a shooting schedule not determined by yourself. When going out on your own, there is more autonomy, but at the same time there are similarities to a PGA tour member in that you're a business. The money all comes through you, but then there is cutting checks for the technical staff, IT & equipment, travel expenses, business taxes, etc. Once your income is high enough, at least you can outsource some of this stuff to professionals.
For the constant "group of 4", Good Good is all they've known since coming of age, so there is a comfort in that and maintaining the franchise they've put a lot of time into. But for those joining at an older age or off of a pro golf stint, this is clearly a temporary job in between career moves.
@@Deltron3031all good points…Kwon said himself he couldve stayed and made good money and not worry bout the business side of things…and that there is a safety net with being on GG but also a cap to how much u can grow and make…but being on his own the limits are higher but also lower and he decided to take a chance on himself same with Grant

Why try to fill the shoes of grant, Micha, or Luke? Just up their games and stop riding to coattails of actual good golfers! Clearly, the best have come and gone, should speak volumes to those that aren't putting in the time and effort to improve thier own game to better themselves and their channel. Just sayin.
There is nothing sour to discuss. I’ve always loved Luke on the GG channel, and on his own content. He is seriously a GG family member, and the whole team loves him. I feel sad, but glad at the same time.

There is no need to associate drama with any of these departures. People move on. Kwon will do great things, as will Good Good. Brad has become more prominent with the group and his chemistry with Garrett is amazing.
Brad has been great…but u notice how he’s only on Garetts channel and Garetts never on his channel…in sure he’s getting paid but after a while like with Grant he will prlly wanna do his own thing
At the end of the day, you have to look out for yourself. This is exactly what Luke did. Best wishes to him.
I thought it was April fools but we a day late......they all just want to make more money with deals that they can't with good good.....nothing wrong with that.....garrett seems the most upset.

I guess my biggest question with this, Ben, etc. is why can’t they still wear good good gear? It’s just clothing like any other clothing and if they are not sponsored by anyone, what’s the rush in wearing other clothes? I know it’s trivial but it’s something I just don’t get what the big deal is either way. Like Luke making a special mention of it in his personal video about him leaving.
Team back pack was just awesome, Will definitely miss the Luke and Steve chemistry but the Luke and Sean chemistry is awesome too

he should. it was making his golf worse, and he prefers stroke play/match play… very happy to see hes leaving.

There's already a chance Luke could have been on some type of shorter term contract with Good Good and just opted to not re-sign once the time was up. That's probably the direction GG should go from here.. just sign people to a year contract and see how it goes, run it like a sports team. Then once time is up if people want to leave - no hard feelings best of luck.
I agree, people are joining Good Good to boost their career. I think that will stop because its more a job. He made a video on his channel on why he left.

@user-sv7xf7ip8u yeh but if you come in on different terms to the main guys (which is totally understandable) its inevitable that at some point you need to go out to make bigger money. If he was a flop GG would have dropped him so works both ways. Personally have barely watched GG for a while as i find Kendrick is too involved.
Loved the old GG days but the whole YT golf space is constantly evolving
Good good is the Walmart of UA-cam golf. It’s a one stop shop for whatever you want to watch golf wise but it’s getting boring imo. How many different ways can you play a scramble? I don’t dislike them but I feel like there are other creators that are a bit more fun to watch.

Nate, before your channel really grew in the space, when Grant and Micah left GG, there was a lot of drama. Day in and out you come on and share UA-cam golf news. You do it in a grown-up fashion, modeling a mature outlook, always giving everyone the benefit of the doubt, being reasonable and using reason in your explanations and reporting. I think you played a huge role in helping everyone see the value in collaboration and good vibes rather than viewing each other as a direct competitor. Nate, some might say you helped the space mature and helped people see their value.

NATE , i told you weeks ago , I had some info and it’s more than scheduling , no big deal but listen to Garrets wording , exact wording , Luke will do so much more and he will be fine, not grant or Micah half million in a while but good golfer , good personality and already has some good content. He has been on that channel for over 18 months and look at timing s, when Ben cam e on he was all good , Brad , who is a great guy comes in and !!! ???
