Thanks for being honest. So many times people don't give their honest opinion. I think it's a reasonable price for a bunch of people but it doesn't surprise me that's it's not as high quality as you'd expect. I like your nails I never saw nails with a yellow tip, that's really cute.

One more thing to add, the receptionist that check my family in looked at us as if we stank and she got upset that we didn’t leave our stroller downstairs. 🤷🏾♀️

We went to the one in Branson Missouri. It was real good. We never expected it to be soul food. Everyone in my party loved it. Can’t wait to visit this one.

I had the same type experience the last couple times i went also. One was the Myrtle Beach location and the other was Pigeon Forge. I beleive you hit the nail on the head. Not bad but nothing to really write home about. Nothing can ever take the place of fresh off the stove, home made , sittin at the family table, suppertime...Thank you Lord! Somebody please pass them biscuits!
Hahahahaha I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels this way. Speaking of biscuits, someone recently told me that Paula Deen's serves breakfast and that it was the bomb. I'll try it when I go back to Myrtle Beach this year. I'll do another review. Thanks for watching!
I feel you.. I agreed with everything you said about the food. . I felt the food wasn't of a famous cooks standards. You would think the food would be taste tested by her standards. But no definitely not.

I live here and I think you are right on the money. I think it's overpriced a little. The first time I went about 3 years ago, it was very good. I returned there with some friends and it was a bit mediocre. In fact, the fried chicken was so small that it looked like they used cornish hens or something. I would agree that it is not as good as you would expect with a name like that on the marquee.
It's funny you mention the fried chicken. My husband also felt the chicken pieces were small. I think you can taste the "mass production" and not the "Southern comfort". Since you live in MB, what restaurants would you recommend?
@@SincerelyJasmineJ Simply Southern Smokehouse is great. Southern Chicken is a good buffet too. Most of the pancake houses are good.

I did the 4 and 4 too
I had the fried chicken ,fried chicken, ribs, pot roast, and shrimp and grits. My 4 sides were Mac and cheese, okra , yams, and greens. The only thing that was good were the Greens 🥬. I didn’t need take home boxes because nothing was worth taking home.
I felt the food was very salty and just mass produced. Nothing fresh. I totally understand you on this one. Thanks for watching!
I thought it was expensive BUT being all you can eat…. They gotta cover those that do just that. The taste was delicious and every bite wonderful. It was way more than we could eat. Loved this place. Go, Paula!

We ate there last week. The place was clean, comfortable and the staff was terrific. We had brought our grandsons down. The night before we ate at Friendly's. Our check was the same amount! At Dean's we ordered the chicken and ribs with Mac & cheese, green beans, creamed potatoes and creamed corn for sides. Everything was delicious. The chicken was small but you can just get it refilled. Was it the best meal? No, but it was a solid 7.5. And the grandsons gave it high praise. I would go back there each time we visit.

Thank you for an honest review. I’ll be there this summer, if someone else wants to go there, I would probably go, but it wouldn’t be my first choice. On the Grand Strand, there are way too many restaurants to choose from, I don’t want to waste my money at one that’s just OK.
Come with containers and a baby stroller. They will try to make you keep your stroller downstairs but we said no. Lol. I took my leftover chicken home. What they gonna do with it? Give it to someone else? Lol
I definitely agree, at that price point you definitely want everything to be delectable and amazing. We enjoyed our meal, those rolls they give you are amazing.. but like you said.. it's about the same as you can make at home.
If you want reasonable family style food at Myrtle Beach, I recommend Victoria's Kitchen, it's so good, friendly people and not too far from ocean blvd.

the one in tenessee is the same dinner is meh...but you gotta try their BREAKFAST!! It is BANGING!!!! We first went for breakfast and it was AMAZING so we decided to go back for dinner it was mediocre at best. But we came back for breakfast and it was INCREDIBLE!!

We plan to go again this year. So I will be sure to try the breakfast. I didn't know the restaurant offers breakfast!

The rolls had potential but just didn’t do it. They looked amazing but felt like they were undercooked. Kinda doughy and not salty enough for my liking. I’m spoiled by red lobster cheddar bay biscuits.
The cheddar biscuits at Red Lobster are the goat! You're right.
Agreed 💯 went to the one in Savannah, average at best also the wait was long very touristy which was fine for what it was

I agree. It was mediocre, and the price point is what really gave me such a critical opinion of it. Bottomless sides are only good if you actually want to keep eating them. A lot of it tasted like it had come from a can and microwaved.
We barely touched any of the food because it was either too bland, too salty, or overseasoned. I felt like I was eating a small jar of thyme in a salty cream sauce for my dumplings.
I personally can't recommend anyone to go.

The marketing & decor is pro$ At work. We know why the food isn't up to soul food standard. Plus this isn't soul food...it's simply country style food on mass scale. Decent care but ...nah. great video thanks for sharing

If u want reasonably priced food..just go to Cracker Barrell. That's real southern cooking ! At these franchises owned stores like Paula Deens.your paying more for the name. Lol and u can't eat the name. I would not waste my time .

By accident saw your review, thought it was more about your nails then the food. Not to be shady, look at your video and look at your dark creases on your knuckles. social media people who use hands, It's not pleasant to see wrinkles, dark shade on your knuckles when showing anything.☹
It's a shame you find natural dark skin "unpleasant" to look at. You must have a very hard time navigating in a society where black people exist. I see comprehension is a skill you haven't mastered being that I was speaking about my experience at a particular restaurant during the entire video.
