@@Jduude In 18:48 you can see that only 5up voted, but in 19:40 it’s shown that Janet also voted on the last second, but somehow her vote didn’t count. It could be that both Janet and Kimi are too late to vote for the system. Tbf even if their votes counted, the results wouldn’t have changed, but at least it would not make both of them feel that bad.
I wish Kimi streamed these games because I'm always dying to know what goes on in her head when she makes these plays.

janet does have a point, if the jester keeps hiding, they can't get infected, so plaguebearer can't become pestilence. there needs to be a rule for that.
And they should definitely put a timer and a limit of amount of vents the Jester can do
If last imposter is plague bearer, give them arrows to the uninfected. Ghosts have been stuck waiting for plague bearer far too many times.
They already have a rule about hiding. For injecting it's a bit of RNG, getting the transporter early can get things rolling quickly.
She could also just follow Steve after a meeting, rather than fake tasks

In a game I used to play, the only thing the 'jester' had for protection was a 2-use button that gave them a temporary shield. They needed to click the button at the right time. Maybe something like that could be appropriate for among us jesters? It would make jestering require more skill due to knowing when people are going to try and kill you.
Although some extra context is required: that game also had a LOT of different sources of shields, so if you tried to kill someone and it failed, you wouldn't know exactly why it failed so you wouldn't know it was a jester. For example, the neutral killer always had some sort of shield making it incredibly difficult to kill them outside of meetings, and other neutrals also had some weak form of shield (either buttons for temporary shields, or passive immunity to the first attack)
One particular play this allowed was timing your shielf to deflect a 'sheriff' attack. The 'sheriff' role then goes into the meeting accusing you of being the neutral killer because they assume this is the explanation for you having a shield. And it could work even better if an evil person tried to kill you and that convinced the evil person that you were the neutral killer because the evil person won't admit to having a kill button and therefore their sus will be some sort of investigative-role type fo sus which makes crew even less suspicious of jesters.

@@unilajamuha91As I said in the 2nd paragraph, the game had a lot of different ways to get shield so it wasn't seen as inherently jestery to have one. In fact someone having an unexplained shield was most often thought of as being neutral-killer since every game had a neutral killer (who had some form of strong permanent shield) but jester spawned a lot more rarely and also rarely managed to time their temporary shield correctly.
I can say with experience that if you as jester managed to time your shield to block an attack, you probably increased your chances to win to 65% chance because having a shield was seen as very sus (unless of course it came with a corresponding crew 'medic' to explain it). Though the timing was quite tricky to pull off so overall jester winrate remained quite low.
[note: there is also some bias in that 65% stat because you would usually only use your shield succesfully if you're already doing a good job at being sus and convinced a sheriff to try and shoot you] (oh and yes: if the shield was not activated, a sheriff could succesfully kill a jester just like they would an imposter)

Smart play from Steve in final four. But Jester shouldn't be able to hide all game like that. It's lame, and it completely neuters PB. Perhaps you could give Jester the ability to move around in vents along with a cool down.

I mean I think Jester venting isn't even a good strat. With the vision settings, mainly impostors will catch you venting. And anyone obviously venting will get assassinated as Jester.
Seriously think about it, when was the last time an Impostor was caught venting by a crewmate in the Morning Lobby? it very rarely happens. So would be even less likely for the Jester with limited vision to manufacture such an encounter imo
Let's not forget Steve openly hates this game, so it's not surprising he doesn't follow the house rules about not staying in a vent forever.

I agree Steve/Jester shouldn't spend all rounds vented, but abilities work on those who are vented. If Janet had walked over his vent she could have infected him, or if Ellum had transported him, it also would have infected him.

Given her role she should have checked reactor for neutrals, though. He spent a long time outside of the vent too.

It was a very well played meeting, but he got there by hiding which was really unfair to Janet. At least a proper killer has the vision to see him run away immediately and could chase him to see where he's off to so quickly
Agree the venting isn't the most 'sporting' strat. However, if Steve was running and hiding even by not venting, I still think there's a good chance Janet doesn't catch him to infect.

Great game by Steve,but i just have to say. It's so frustrating watching his streams nowadays. The dude just wants to play Valorant.He plays Valorant everyday and when he doesn't play it he constantly bitches about how he wishes he could play Valo It's so fucking annoying,it legit makes me dislike him sometimes.
And it's funny because even his own friends are sick and tired of him talking about Valorant all the time

Omg trueee! I don't usually watch on twitch but when I first found out about steve in this channel, I instantly feel in love with his personality. I literally made an account on twitch just to watch him stream every morning! I enjoy watching him play among us back then and other games but not valorant, It's one of the reasons I stopped watching him and also because everytime he plays AU, he always seems like he has no choice

His audience hates when he plays Valo,his friends hate when he plays Valo and i'm pretty sure he himself hates when he plays Valo. But he just doesn't quit it,which is fine if that's what he wants. JUST DON'T COMPLAIN EVERY SINGLE TIME.
I think a good way to describe how players like DK, Steve, and even Dumbdog and 5up to some degree feel about "Among Us"/this lobby is that it actually feels like a "job" to them. Like the worst aspects of it.
It's the one day of the week where they're required to be somewhere at a set time. They have to deal with a chat that's way more unruly, annoying, negative, and critical of everything they do on twitch and outside of it. They have to play for a set time. And some of them have to find ways to distract themselves to make it through the ~2 hours, 30 minutes of it.
Even the good aspects don't always outweigh the parts that irk them. Playing with friends and the interactions that come from it might be fun/entertaining (especially as a viewer)... but it's within the confines of something that's not as appealing to them (similar to hanging out with friends at school... Friends are fun... but it's still school).
At some point, some of them need to bite the bullet and just start saying no more often rather than suffering through it. No matter how much fans like to meme about how much xyz "loves" a game they clearly don't like, it can be a real turnoff to people who actually enjoy the content/game.

I *DO* wish he'd play more things he actually enjoyed on stream, especially when he talks about games he enjoyed in the past, but I also think "The Boys" and DD's schedules hindered him a lot because it severely limited the type of games they could play which reduced them to playing the same 3 to 4 games a week with the same 4 to 5 people. I feel like he was way more open to content when he was doing his own thing and playing with other people (the OTV crowd) more often. There's only so many times he can play Uno or Monopoly with the same group and feel content with it, similar to Among Us.
ETA: Just to clarify, he did actually say that it's not because he wants to play Valorant that badly. It's more so that he's reached a point where he can't handle Among Us for 2+ hours anymore.
Janet 100% Threw this game. On the round that skadj killed she wouldve known steve wasnt the killer because she didnt turn into pest. She didnt realize how pest works and thats why she lost. Sadge.

@@Halibard ok, let's go through the possibilities then. Skadj gets voted out that round but then what? Games lasts longer for no reason cause she still cannot find steve. Ellum gets voted out but what? She most likely dies to skadj still unable to become pesti cause skadj also probably couldn't find steve. The lesser likely option is skadj deciding to guess steve as jester which is a completely blind guess because if he knew steve was jester he would've guessed before voting him out. The best option is just voting steve out cause it guarantees she becomes pesti and almost solidifies her win, since skadj wouldn't play like a wimp and stall reactor. The only flaw there is steve being jester, which nobody figured out fast enough. By all means i'd love to hear your reasoning if you have any
