For me it has sense that casting directors check out those small theater shows. In this case it shows that Mia is brave, imaginative, and has talent to do a one woman show. I know of many singers that were found singing on the street, or in small bars, why not actors?
It shows you that you can’t get all of your dreams come true. They both had their separate dreams become real but they had to lose each other in the process. It’s very realistic because not everyone’s Life will turn into a La La Land fantasy. Ryan Gosling in this movie is my dream guy he's so passionate and supportive but he also isn't perfect which is rare in romantic movies usually the love interest is portrayed as the perfect dream guy and while he is he's also imperfect and has flaws it's the first time I watched a movie and wanted the love interest flaws and all. Also Dylan was me during the ending I was so pissed I wanted them to be together
I mean, his college got shut down, but I think his course *was* something about movie directing stuff... no wonder he's got a good eye for it. The only thing I noticed in this movie was that the songs were all one-shot 🤦.

It’s super fun to watch him hate himself with bad movies but it’s even better to see him get all giddy and happy and just go “that’s a nice shot” or “love the splashes of color”. It just fills you with good vibes.

And so unspools a gravity-free dance.
Mia and Sebastian SPIN and TWIRL through the planetarium as though they themselves were in outer space, flying through the cosmos. The music carries them higher and higher, and their spirits likewise soar -- JOYOUS, EXUBERANT -- until, finally...
...the music SOFTENS.
Mia and Sebastian drift back to the floor like feathers. They land on a pair of seats.
