Just one thing I wanted to see, as someone who sells products in various conditions (New, used, refurbished, not working) I wanted to see how that could be implemented and perhaps tweaked around when adding products to store. Hi Tyler. Thank you for putting this excellent tutorial together. I can only imagine how long this took you. I appreciate it! I have a couple things I'm stuck on. I'm using the same theme as you are and trying to follow what you're showing exactly. It seems I may have "damaged" something along the way. One thing is that the transparent header is not working correctly on some pages, but it is on others. I would like all pages to have the header image start at the very top, with the logo and menus "on top of" the header image. Some of the pages have white space between the header image and the top of the page, with the menu in this white are. I tried following your instructions for the transparent header, but I don't see the Astra editing buttons as they are shown in your video. Lastly, how would one just start over with a clean slate now that I have something in progress? I'd like to try again from the start. Thanks!

Secondly, if you wish to declutter your website and start afresh, you can use the WP Reset plugin to reset your website and commence from the beginning.

Thank you for your kind words! You can certainly add an e-commerce section to your existing blog website without the need for a separate site. Just install WooCommerce on your current WordPress site, and then you can follow along with my WooCommerce tutorial to set up your online store.

Love your videos as they are super helpful! My big question on here is the SSL. Given that it's included with the site, is that enough to use for eCommerce? I've seen others talk about a different SSL that is better designed for sites like these, but can cost up to $300 a year. Or does the WooCommerce plugin add extra layers of security already within?
The SSL certificate included with your hosting is typically enough for eCommerce. WooCommerce and similar plugins also add security layers. While premium SSL certificates offer more features, the standard one should suffice for most eCommerce sites.

Hi, Thank you for posting these tutorials, they have really saved me. I was building my website on Weebly until I realised it looked so bad on mobiles even though they were supposed to be responsive. I wasted so much time because I had been building it part time for 2 years along side my full time job as a teacher. After discovering your tutorials I took the plunge and went with Wordpress. I have followed your build a website tutorial and that is coming on great, I've learned so much. Then I followed parts of the Blog tutorial for that part of my website, again it's coming on well. Now I want to add an online store, in particular for digital products, so I was looking to import the shop page from your template Planet Earth Online Score but couldn't find it in starter templates. Please can you help me with how to find it. I have tried the search option but it only shows the original Planet Earth website template. Thanking you in advance. Best wishes, Christine.

But currently, i have stuck with dropdown menu issues, i do hope you can help me on that: My dropdown menu on the Shop Section have 8 product sub category, but my product sub-category drop down doesn’t look like what in your demo. The 8 product sub-category overlapping to each other.

After watching your tutorials on building a website in one hour in 2023 I started building my website. Spent some hours doing so, but that video did not cover how to build my online store where people can purchase my products and services.
Now I am watching this tutorial for creating an online store and I am starting from scratch. I am confused because I don't have the full understanding about how everything works together. The main reason I wanted to setup my Website is to sell the things I build (woodworking) and offer my coaching/tutoring services. With that said, I want to also be able to publish blogs and share information.
Do I need to start over with the themes/plugins etc. following this current tutorial? What will happen when I want to start the blog part of my Website? Can you provide insights or point me to a tutorial that is an integrated website building process?
Here's a suggested approach:
Finish Building Your Online Store: Continue with the current tutorial to create your online store. This will allow you to set up your store, list products, and get everything ready for selling your woodworking products and coaching services.

To add a shop page to your existing site created with the Planet Earth template, you can indeed install WooCommerce. Then, you can follow this tutorial for WooCommerce customization to add a shop and start selling your craft items directly from your current website.
Tyler- your video/tutorials are amazing- I completed the "WordPress Blog" - it took about 6 hours- I stumbled on the video: my site is great- (glad I have three screens and wasn't entirely new to WordPress)- my question- I want a hybrid site- I am not a blogger but want to post "some blogs" - I want the features here (WordPress eCommerce)- I just didn't see it before- Without assuming- I am thinking I can add pages from this video to my created website. This is my domain and I only have one- or ditch the blog work and do this work and add a blog page- that seems simpler - no work is a waste it is all learning but I do need to get moving forward and I can't thank you and team for the tutorials- btw this one here with the checklist and such- gold. I teach HS Graphics and handout checklists- love them
