Actually doesn't seem there Elementor option and i learned from chatgbt. im sure will help this many people. 1. Go to general settings and unclick this : Disable Elementor Page Builder Templates in Starter Templates (which is harder to see) 2. Hi and many thanks for this great job Tyler! I truly appreciated this tuto. ;) Things consistently change and today, if you opt in for the Astra Theme, it comes with Spectra! So if you happen to choose a template from the Starter Sites plugin, you can't opt for Elementor that easily anymore. I first thought I could disable and delete the Spectra builder, but the problem stayed the same : if you wanna choose one of these templates (yours or the others), the installation of the Starter Sites plugin tends to reinstall Spectra just the same. There might be a way to work with Elementor without Spectra, but I still haven't found how to do that (while keeping the Astra theme). I finally got Elementor to work instead of Spectra, but I had to proceed to different tests. Apparently, you can still choose Elementor, but it is almsot hidded on the top right corner of the Starter Site first page. Well, it'd be much easier if there would just one builder.

I am at 1:27:24 and still watching - Is the shop part of the website achieved using Woocommerce? Or was there a Wordpress update that added eCommerce functionality to Wordpress itself? I was introduced to Wordpress & Woocommerce years ago by your older videos when I was trying to build a store, but the project got scrapped bc it was no longer needed. Now I need to build a different store and I have not kept up to date with developments in the Wordpress/Woocommerce space. EDIT: 1:40:31 now and I can see you did use Woocommerce. I guess it was a part of the template you made for Astra 👌

Hi, Thank you for posting these tutorials, they have really saved me. I was building my website on Weebly until I realised it looked so bad on mobiles even though they were supposed to be responsive. I wasted so much time because I had been building it part time for 2 years along side my full time job as a teacher. After discovering your tutorials I took the plunge and went with Wordpress. I have followed your build a website tutorial and that is coming on great, I've learned so much. Then I followed parts of the Blog tutorial for that part of my website, again it's coming on well. Now I want to add an online store, in particular for digital products, so I was looking to import the shop page from your template Planet Earth Online Score but couldn't find it in starter templates. Please can you help me with how to find it. I have tried the search option but it only shows the original Planet Earth website template. Thanking you in advance. Best wishes, Christine.

Thanks for your question about WooCommerce categories. Yes, categories will appear automatically on your shop page once you've: Created the categories Added products to them You don't need to do anything special to display them - WooCommerce handles this automatically. They should show up in your shop's navigation and filtering options.

around 41:18 you begin creating three picture boxes and added buttons. I think the version of elementor you have is now different because there are no multiple dots to just add a button to the image, and when I add the "plus" button to add another widget, the image box doesn't just magically get bigger to allow a button placement under it. It wants to go into the middle box where my next picture is going to be. Any help? thanks
It sounds like the newer Elementor update might be throwing things off a bit. When you’re adding a row and it prompts, "Which layout would you like to use?" make sure to choose flexbox, not grid. That should give you the flexibility to place the button right under the image without it affecting the neighboring columns.
@@TylerMoorethanks! That was correct. I fiddled around for a bit and that was one part that fixed it. The other part was making sure I clicked the actual box I wanted to add a button to. It was in the upper left corner of the box and wasn't very easy to figure out. Thanks for responding and the great video! I'm slowly getting a website up. It's a ton of work!

This is yet another great one Tyler thank a lot! Just one thing I wanted to see, as someone who sells products in various conditions (New, used, refurbished, not working) I wanted to see how that could be implemented and perhaps tweaked around when adding products to store. Otherwise super educational video I learned a ton. Again, thanks for all your great work.

Hi and many thanks for this great job Tyler! I truly appreciated this tuto. ;) Things consistently change and today, if you opt in for the Astra Theme, it comes with Spectra! So if you happen to choose a template from the Starter Sites plugin, you can't opt for Elementor that easily anymore. I first thought I could disable and delete the Spectra builder, but the problem stayed the same : if you wanna choose one of these templates (yours or the others), the installation of the Starter Sites plugin tends to reinstall Spectra just the same. There might be a way to work with Elementor without Spectra, but I still haven't found how to do that (while keeping the Astra theme). I finally got Elementor to work instead of Spectra, but I had to proceed to different tests. Apparently, you can still choose Elementor, but it is almsot hidded on the top right corner of the Starter Site first page. Well, it'd be much easier if there would just one builder.

Hi Tyler - loved the video and am in the process of setting up now. But I am worried about the taxes section as I'm from the UK. Does Stripe deal with the different taxes in different countries or is there an other plugin that you could recommend?

I am at 1:27:24 and still watching - Is the shop part of the website achieved using Woocommerce? Or was there a Wordpress update that added eCommerce functionality to Wordpress itself?
I was introduced to Wordpress & Woocommerce years ago by your older videos when I was trying to build a store, but the project got scrapped bc it was no longer needed. Now I need to build a different store and I have not kept up to date with developments in the Wordpress/Woocommerce space.
EDIT: 1:40:31 now and I can see you did use Woocommerce. I guess it was a part of the template you made for Astra 👌
Yes, that's correct! WooCommerce was included as part of the template for Astra. It's a convenient way to set up an e-commerce shop quickly.

But currently, i have stuck with dropdown menu issues, i do hope you can help me on that: My dropdown menu on the Shop Section have 8 product sub category, but my product sub-category drop down doesn’t look like what in your demo. The 8 product sub-category overlapping to each other.

Hi, Thank you for posting these tutorials, they have really saved me. I was building my website on Weebly until I realised it looked so bad on mobiles even though they were supposed to be responsive. I wasted so much time because I had been building it part time for 2 years along side my full time job as a teacher. After discovering your tutorials I took the plunge and went with Wordpress. I have followed your build a website tutorial and that is coming on great, I've learned so much. Then I followed parts of the Blog tutorial for that part of my website, again it's coming on well. Now I want to add an online store, in particular for digital products, so I was looking to import the shop page from your template Planet Earth Online Score but couldn't find it in starter templates. Please can you help me with how to find it. I have tried the search option but it only shows the original Planet Earth website template. Thanking you in advance. Best wishes, Christine.

Thanks for your question about WooCommerce categories. Yes, categories will appear automatically on your shop page once you've:
Created the categories
Added products to them
You don't need to do anything special to display them - WooCommerce handles this automatically. They should show up in your shop's navigation and filtering options.

around 41:18 you begin creating three picture boxes and added buttons. I think the version of elementor you have is now different because there are no multiple dots to just add a button to the image, and when I add the "plus" button to add another widget, the image box doesn't just magically get bigger to allow a button placement under it. It wants to go into the middle box where my next picture is going to be. Any help? thanks
It sounds like the newer Elementor update might be throwing things off a bit. When you’re adding a row and it prompts, "Which layout would you like to use?" make sure to choose flexbox, not grid. That should give you the flexibility to place the button right under the image without it affecting the neighboring columns.
@@TylerMoorethanks! That was correct. I fiddled around for a bit and that was one part that fixed it. The other part was making sure I clicked the actual box I wanted to add a button to. It was in the upper left corner of the box and wasn't very easy to figure out. Thanks for responding and the great video! I'm slowly getting a website up. It's a ton of work!
