This song still amazes me...now, I will admit, I had not heard this until long after JLP and I was so curious about the early stuff, I heard bits and pieces of the music from Alanis's Behind The Music, when I finally heard this song, it blew me away, it was so true in her lyrics that she was not a fan of living the goody goody good girl lie she had to be during this and on her second album Now Is The Time...I hear the real Alanis coming out of this and I also hear it in Real World ( the opening track from Now Is The Time ). I won't lie, had I been a kid in Canada and got to a chance to have heard the early albums, no doubt I would have a been a fan so soon and it would have been a major adjustment to JLP...I am only 4 months and 18 days younger than Alanis and I am so in tune with her and I am a fan for life and I am glad her career went as it did....and I am glad she found what music and what things in life makes her happy, I never want her to be anything but what she has become and is! She is like a dear friend to me ( due to her great talent ). I do appreciate these early albums too, it made her who she is musically and she seen what was right about it and wrong too, and learned from this experiences that came out of it
Because she doesn’t wanna have anything to do with this album she’s actually embarrassed about it also it was only available in Canada in the 90s you have to find it on websites like amazon or ebay
