We had this exact alarm siren and voice driver combo in my previous house. One time it went off in the middle of the night, and as a result the sound of it still haunts me to this day.
@@pvh_facp4001yt I've heard that variant before - makes me wonder why they didn't make it so that there was no awkawrd pause when not using that variation of the burglary message. 0_o
i used to have this siren hooked up to a gemini and it scarred me every time it woke me up at night. now we have a nest security system since 2 years ago and it still hasnt gone off on fault (so far)
OK, this sounds odd... but a neighbor of mine occasionally tests their alarm, and it has a talking siren … sounds like the voice used for the MVA-1000, but the lines are in a different order. ("Burglary! Burglary! Burglary! Leave Immediately! You have violated an area protected by a security system." versus how the dialog is with the MVA-1000), any ideas what siren/siren driver it could be?
It is more than likely the same driver. The MVA-1000 has 4 sets of resistors that can strategically be cut in certian combinations to deliver different messages (English, French, Spanish, Napco default, just the siren, etc…). There’s one cut to the resistors you can do that delivers the message you wrote above. If you search for the MVA-1000 wire diagram it’ll show all the different cuts you can make to the resistors and there’s quite a few.
i used to have this old sire. it went: burglary burglary burglary. you have violated an area protected by a security system. please leave immediately. burglary burglary burglary

OH MY GOD SAME
That awkward pause between "protected by" and "a security system" XD
There’s a long delay there because the rarer one would say, “protected by an ademco security system”

Well before you do anymore protecting why don’t you have a seat right over there.

“leave immEDIATELY!”
Imagine that but on a 30 watt speaker
I think that ELK used it also
It Wii say area protected by a napco security system if you have a Napco s system I do
I believe you need to cut a specific resistor on the PCB to enable this, don't quote me on that.

That's only for Napco panels. Ademco systems can only play the burglary
