      They can only do so if they have an absolutely legitimate reason. Saying “it makes it easier to shoot” is not a legitimate reason. The 2nd Amendment is all encompassing, unless they can prove Dangerous and Unusual, they cannot ban it.

    *Jehovah God* will soon give the green light to his beloved Son Jesus, and his 144,000 kings will destroy [all] human governments. (Daniel 2: 44; Revelation 5: 10) God will set up his heavenly government on Earth just like the Lord's prayer mentions in Matthew 6: 10. No human leader on earth is doing God's will and fit to govern. (Jeremiah 10: 23) Who will YOU support? Human world leaders or the one Jehovah God has approved-Christ Jesus! 🌎👑

    Why does it matter what the physical mechanism is that causes a firearm to fire repetitively. If a modification causes a legal semi-automatic rifle to shoot like a machine gun, it's a machine gun. It's illegal to put one of those switches on a Glock and turn it into a machine pistol. Why shouldn't bump stocks be illegal?

    • @kenofken9458
      @kenofken9458 Місяць тому

      They probably should be, but laws have to be written properly to address what it is they deal with. The National Firearms Act, which effectively though not technically banned machine guns for civilians, was passed 90 years ago. There's no way the congressmen of the time who voted for it would have been ok with bump stocks, but they weren't a thing then.
      The law was written to define machine guns as guns capable of firing more than one round with a "single function of the trigger". That language is just tricky enough to allow things like bump stocks. Normal people would think that under such a law, for a gun not to be a machine gun, you'd have to actually pull the trigger for each shot fired.
      Well, with a bump stock, you're not actually pulling the trigger. The momentum of the gun's recoil basically slaps the trigger against your finger far faster than you could manually pull that finger. So you're only pulling the trigger once in any real sense of the word until the magazine empties or you consciously disengage your finger altogether from the trigger and maybe even pull it out of the guard. But each shot is technically a "single function" of the trigger. It's going through its normal cycle of pull and reset, only if in a very minimal way.

      It does not cause a semi auto to function like a machine guns.
      Definitions have meanings, even if they're inconvenient to your disarmament agenda.

    • @cabbage826
      @cabbage826 Місяць тому

      In order to be a machine gun you have to have more than 1 bullets cycle per trigger pull.
      Since bump stocks just make it easier to pull the trigger faster it is not a machine gun.
      Also all guns should be legal.

    • @jayl5978
      @jayl5978 Місяць тому

      Glock switch and bump stocks are not the same one is full auto and one is not

      I'm not buying all these answers. Bunch of legal BS. If bullets come out of the barrel like a machine gun, then it should fall into that category. Hunter S. Thompson had it right about what to do with lawyers lol.
