Had fun doing a little video on my aunt’s car! New merch www.amfilmfest.com/marketplace?Collection=Four+Speed Follow me on Instagram @benkahan for more content!
Wait... that’s your aunt? Sooo Robert is your unkle? Bitchen. Your aunt and unkle came up came up to me and said my roadster was their favorite car at the Santa Barbara Trog drags. I about fell out of my seat I was so honored... that’s one day I will never forget.
Most things in life become difficult because of people. But especially in a work environment. What an awesome woman she is. I so admire her. And that sedan. Wow...just WOW!!!
What a great woman, and a tremendous video. Seeing her, her cars, her art, and hearing a few of her stories was really a wonderful experience. Thanks, so much, Ben, for the work that you are doing and sharing with the world.
another great job by Ben.....I loved hearing from Suzanne, learned things I did not know or forgot,,,as she is my sister in law,,, Suzanne is a Very special person who has influenced many people in many positive ways.
I had a "Shwinn Stingray" with the Springer forks , metalic royal blue with the white banana seat and butterfly handle bars. My favorite bicycle from childhood. Ms. Williams you are a beautiful talented woman. Thanks for sharing your stories 😍😎
suzzane, you seem like an amazing human. Robert is such a lucky guy to have you in his life. You guys were just meant to be together. Ben, you are so lucky to have such great people in your life bud! great job on the video and keep them coming! shout out to your dad too!
WOW!!!! What a great story we (I) never knew!!!! I have know of Robert for years......so glad Ben you did this video!!!. Thanks for sharing the story of a true original!!!
This just made my whole month! What a great video and window into someone who has had this stuff in their blood for a lifetime. As a long life hot rodder myself not many cars can make me drool as I did in the early years but MAN that '34 has got it going! The perfect blend of simplicity, traditional and Suzannes own touches. Love it! Want it! Thanks for the video and thank you Suzanne for sharing! :) Steve in Colorado
Hello! Frank Parks @ Mopar Restos in Summerville, Ga. Check out my facebook Mopar Restos page... I collect '67-'72 Darts and Valiants... And have been selling used vintage Mopar parts for A,B,and C Body cars for over 30 years! Good luck with your Dart project young man.
I really like your '34, Suzanne. You have contributed a lot to the Culture. I hope to meet you one day. If I could travel through time, I'd tweak that drippy Holley carb for you and try to convince you of the benefits of a Carter AFB.
What a great bookend to Mr. Williams vid. Had the pleasure of meeting them for a brief second years ago at GNRS. I really hope to have a longer chat sometime and hopefully hear a story or two about their hot rod adventures. You're doing the hot rodding world a great favor documenting these legends. Please keep bringing others from the great days of SoCal.
Hi Suzanne. A great car for a great lady. I hope you have a front view camera because you sure can't see where you are going. You sure picked out some very cool colours. The rims top the outside off. The interior is top shelf for sure. I would very proud if I owned a car like you have. Thanks for sharing.🍁👍👍
Outstanding job! I've know who she was for many years, however, I didn't know that many details. Love everything about her, I could listen to her stories forever...at 56, I wonder if I'm too old to adopt?
Thank you Ben for your great hot rod history interviews. I'm in Michigan and have read all the car mags so I am well aware of the car culture of Cali. But these interviews of the people of the era I was so wishing was a part of my area are just so cool. We are old now (how, when did that happen?) but still young in mind and ideas. Someday you will understand that more than you can now. So keep up the good work.
Ben this was yet another topnotch production. Mrs. Williams is a national treasure! The quintessential Hot Rod Gal and so much more. What a Dame amongst Ladies.
Way to go Ben,must say I do enjoy your work .Great complement to your feature on Robert Williams.I do still have an older car magazine with a feature on your Aunt as well as the '34 Tudor . Next weekend my wife and I are heading off for a bit to visit to my big brother's place . He has a really nice '30 A pickup and a '32 Fordor that's been a hot rod since 1975 . Still pretty much the same . Thanks again for posting !
This was awesome. I really enjoy watching your videos. I was a tv/video production major in college. Great to see a new generation doing new things with classic subjects.
great video and really great story, i just thought i was going to see this really neat old ford, one of my favorite years, having no idea i was going to see and hear part of our hot rod history. i guess it means a lot to me because i was also born in 42 and ive been a part of the car culture since my early teens. thanks for the video, my best friend roy, i won't put his last name without his permission, had some dealings with roth back in the 60s, he's a long time street rod builder and drag racer, one of the best engine builders in this part of the country. he had at least two of his cars in magazines in the 70s, one was called super bean. thanks again
yea buddy , ive had the FEVER almost as long as you have , in 1973 { i was 19 } bought a 1950 chev pickup and a 1971 lotus europa , hot rodder and euro car fanatic , when i was 25 , moved out of my beach front condo and on board a classic camper and nicholsons sailing ketch i had restored and was daily driving my alfa spider veloce , 3 more yachts and 16 cars later , now retired living at beach front rv resort , current toys , 40 ft. motor coach , race car trailer , f type jag , cheers from padre island tx
Behind every great man........Is an even better "WOMAN". Women are the core of the universe . Love Itchy & Yvonne. You've always had your own identity. :)
Yeah, this is the car content I am looking for. Good work on bringing this stuff to your channel. This episode is so dense, just like your filming with Robert Williams, you could do a whole series on these two.
@2:12 Looks similar to the Brady Bunch home. I just watched a video on Robert Williams ... what an interesting couple! Very nice job on this video ... really enjoyed it.
Where to begin... Such a great look at a fascinating lady. Thank you so much for sharing this. And, Ben, your skills are on point! You have to be proud of this one. You certainly know how to produce great content. So well done. Keep up the great work.
wow..aside from the cars, she also has a old school Schwinn sting ray? with the high back sissy bar...so cool..i would like to be her friend and listen to her stories..oh, and her art is really phenomenal ..some of it looks like an illusion for your mind to decipher ..i think its awesome...what a lady..wow!
I would get my mom to buy me chopper mag from the old store across from our church on sundays....and sometimes a model car lololololol.....when they were $2.00.i kept those mags for many yrs.i applaud you.
Awesome video Ben!!!! I know I have commented before, but I love these “documentary” style vids you produce. It’s an awesome video library of the history of SoCal hot rodding and the history of our hobby. You are basically becoming a historian with 1st hand connections- which is awesome! Thumbs up and hello to everyone from here near KC.
Really great content and visuals as always. If i may offer one thing: i noticed you eliminate a lot of the pauses and gaps when your subjects are speaking. Almost making it sound robotic. I think it adds to the humanity when those pauses are kept in.
Great work Ben! You're a fantastic storyteller. So cool that your Aunt has all that history and those cars. I see where you get it. Keep up the good work.

Most things in life become difficult because of people. But especially in a work environment. What an awesome woman she is. I so admire her. And that sedan. Wow...just WOW!!!

That ‘34 is utterly timeless. Looks great now, would have looked great in 1955, will still be in style in 2060.

so true
But in this UA-cam age if you loose someone’s attention they click somewhere else. It doesn’t take away much in my opinion.
This lady went through decades of cars changing through technology and culture...so in a way she's a living capsule.
Yes!
Great work Ben! You're a fantastic storyteller. So cool that your Aunt has all that history and those cars. I see where you get it. Keep up the good work.
